The zoom on the 360 Pro works so well because 4k without zoom is leveraging pixel binning (i.e. it's taking a higher resolution [6k/8k, cannot remember] and taking the best pixel value from that "bin" as your final pixel value). The "zoom" on the 360 Pro is just like DX Crop. It's no longer using the entire sensor and binning to get the best pixel. It's using the center of the sensor to give you a 4k native (i.e. unbinned) output. Super cool way to leverage the higher resolution sensors that are now available.
I like the colors of this camera......nice blues and greens
I am so impressed with how well this handles direct sun. Usually Actions and One RSs tended to blowout sky due to making them more versatile for low light. It seems like this is the king of low light and direct sun (finally beating Hero in direct sun). I do long POV shots where lighting conditions constantly change so I am ordering right away.
Finally, someone shot videos at 4K 60 fps! Everyone else keeps using 30fps 🤦♂️ This one is a go!

I went to Kenya with my parents back in -94. This was when 35mm film was the way. So I have a album at home with wonderful picture from Mombasa and our safaritrip ❤️ 🇰🇪

Nice video thanks. I would love to see a full review video say after you have used it for a month. There are some features that I really love about this camera, especially the amazing low light performance and stablization in low light as well as the quick release mount. Few things that I don't like is the way that it doesn't focus on your face at normal vlogging distances and it doesn't have a removable/modular lens cover. Other than these things im very impressed

Trying to decide on the Ace pro or X3.

Is it just me or does it super saturate the greens? I also notice a yellow shift in greens as he changes angle. The greens not in the center of the frame yellow out when panning.

Having been on 4 African Photo Safaris, I can tell you that if that Lion wanted to eat you, it would have. There is no "Almost." LOL. Looks like you were in Amboseli?

Jared, I love your videos and have for years but you need to adjust your thumbnails, titles, and format to this new era of TH-cam. So little of this video is about the lion interaction, I can't help but feel like something like "Insta 360's new camera tested in the wild" With a thumbnail of a lion chasing you would work better. The title feels misleading and I just wanna see you succeed. Anyways great video!

After watching this, I get the difference between a product showcase and a proper review, which this isn’t. As for the video quality of the product…it’s good, if a little choppy when movement is involved. Overall it seems to be a bit of a better design than the venerable GoPro.

I needed a new action cam. Skiing holiday you see, in fact I am still on it (the ski holiday). Bought this thing a couple of weeks before I left, obviously acquainted myself with it before I set off, how it works, best settings etc....
Well b#ggah me. The red 'start filming' button only works around 5% (or even less) of the time, so you can have a lovely time observing what you might have filmed as you watch those lived moments disappear... On those odd occasions when it does start to record, try switching it off when you want to pause.... No such luck. You have to push the 'shut down/switch off' button to stop recording.
When it records, it is very good. But if you cannot control the absolute basics, what is the point?
Fro, no disrespect, but the above is genuine purchaser experience.
Others take note, do not buy it.

A lot of people are after these types of previews /demo's. I used a similar video to buy some hedge trimmers that a person did a demo, feature breakdown. Jared also doesn't put his name to things that are garbage and his partnership is proven because he has other videos where he uses insta360 products and he is reviewing/creating content that has nothing to do with insta360.
I thought it was helpful to see the features and example footage. Plenty of reviewers out there will confirm your cognitive bias. Go watch them.
