how long can this record in 1 take?
@@toy4tao Was going to ask the same question. On the Go2 it seemed like after like 7 minutes it would turn off and you would need to record again but then doing this for a couple times would lead to overheating at its max resolution. Any better performance here? Would love to have it run continuously for about 18 minutes in one shot without overheating to get fpv of a 5k.

insta360 Go 3 is such an epic small form factor camera with great picture quality they should keep on making small form factor cameras ideal for outdoor and indoor recording.

This is pretty fantastic of an upgrade. It's great to see the already convenient features of the Go2 are now in this new body BUT also can give it more flexibility to take less extra things with you (like bringing a whole 2nd action camera to cover a different aspect). my only disappointment of this is the fact that I can't toss it in a bag as easily as I could the Go2 because the lens sticks out to the side without any protection. That isn't a deal breaker though and I'll definitely be ordering this one as the Go series of cameras are my favorite to use all the time while using my main DSLR.
honestly, the form factor is cool, but I'm really glad they didn't try to shove 4K into the thing. 2.7K is underrated and should be more standardized, and 4K just leads to issues in small cameras.
Agreed, Unless you're a content creator, 4K really takes up much space and on my Hero11, battery depletes pretty quickly too.
Exactly, plus upscaling it to 4K with Topaz would almost certainly make the content look better anyway.

I love 4K because it allows for high quality cropping and therefore add more flexibility - but the issues are not from 4K itself, but the tech used to reach 4K.
I hope and feel the Go 4 will be 4K, it is almost in the name! And I hope it'll be compatible with MicroSD cards - the lack of memory card is a deal breaker for me

@@nemiesis1440p and 2.7k are almost exactly the same. It’s only 11% increase in resolution which is hard to tell.
@@TankTheSpank thats not exactly true. 1440p is about 44% of 4K in terms of pixel count.
So this was why Amazon and Insta had no stock of the Go2 when I was looking for one a few weeks ago. Looks good and I'm glad the capacity has been increased.
I appreciate you can't put a SD card slot in the camera, but what if they had one in the module which would allow you to transfer footage and free up space in the camera?
Something for Go4 perhaps?

I got the Insta360 x3 for my HAWAII CHANNEL and am still learning the ins and outs of it. This looks great and perfectly portable.
Are you able to zoom in on shots while editing in the mobile app? (Since its a single lens camera)
Insta360 just keeps pumping out interesting cameras. And this upgrade adds features that make the GO 3 more of a GoPro competitor. You got some great shots with it already. Great review, and thanks for sharing.
Let's be fair: this is not a GoPro competitor. Neither in terms of video quality, nor in terms of durability. As I can see, they tried to do it a do-it-all camera, but I'd still buy it only if I'd need a really small camera for unusual angles. So if to compare to Go2... This worth it only if you need an external wifi monitor, that actually can be changed with the phone (but that option is much more easier to use, of course).

I don't think it is fair to classify it as a GoPro competitor - they both have their uses.
This one doesn't meet GoPro's quality, not even the resolution!
And the lack of a memory card makes it very niche and highly different than a GoPro
I'd say both can be used as a combo to create solid videos from intersting and unusual angles and locations, but one will not ''replace'' or substitute the other

I'm heavily debating picking this up for minimal equipment vlogging / POV content.
Using a heavy iphone 13 pro max is annoying.
Being able to clip this on a hat or to the pendant and being hands-free is awesome.
Only concern would be inability to record in 60fps.

The innovation on this one is a bit of a miss for me. Here's hoping for the next one. I hope they have or come out with a similar pill style case for ease of recording or a one button accessory that gives you vibrating feedback or visual feedback to know you're recording. That case is too big to be messing around with in conjunction with the hat mount. I'd love a little BT button for that.
Concerned about that lense being uncovered now. Freeframe mode seems to have replaced the pro mode I guess. At this point this should just be the default mode.
No replaceable battery on the case. It won't make sense for me until it's cheaper or I can get a deal on the marketplace.
I have the go 2 and record only in pro mode.
So happy with the improved microphone! Is the camera quality the same for the rest? Does it have 10BIT? Improved low light?

I literally used my Go2 on my hat mount yesterday, just to find out that the camera was pointed too high up - because I didn't connect it to my phone, check the app, and adjust.
The battery life on the GO2 is also kind of awful. 10 minutes of footage MAX before you're overheating.
I think this could be a good upgrade but for the price, I might also look at the DJI OSMO 3. That one shoots in 4K and is pretty much the same. Also, the added 9g is actually quite a difference. One of the great things about the Go2 is its weight. It's so light weight. It's easy to put on a hat without feeling it.

Woah! This looks amazing. Does anyone know how long it can just record in pendant mode? I thought I remember the old models only doing like, 10 seconds every half of a minute- so you could basically just get a small video of your day. Am I misremembering?
I believe he said that at 1080p, 30FPS the battery lasted around 45 minutes and with the improved heat dissipation, there is no record time limit.
I will wait until 4K comes out
@potatojet I’m new to “action” style cameras and attempted to purchase the GP Hero 11 when it released but it was a whole debacle -_- but I typically shoot music videos and recap/commercial videos for local vendors and events. I will be starting a new project soon where I will need to get some moving vehicle shots, would you reccomend the instago cam footage to go side by side with my x-t4 footage? Or do you think I should just acquire another x-t4 for a more seemless transition shot to shot?

reason I stopped using my Insta360 G02 is because it always heated up and turned off, you have to keep that camera moving in air flow to keep it working. Does this one has same issue? I still love my GoPro 10 :D
