"Born as an idea in 2022, Studio SHAPES stands as the pipeline between Chicago's underground talent and the next
level of their career. The name "SHAPES" originally came from the geometric designs of musical gear and instruments,
but has evolved to embody the symmetry that arises when artists get together to create something new in beautiful
harmony."
"Founded by 14-year industry veteran Renzell, Studio SHAPES is more than just a place for artists to record music. We
are an establishment where artists can truly foster their talent and grow with a passionate team of like-minded
creatives. Beyond crafting music, SHAPES has also become a necessary third place- a safe space outside of home or
work that serves as the cornerstone of community building. With regularly scheduled events like the biweekly Wine
Down Wednesday, anyone is invited to come through, spin some vinyl, kick back with a glass of wine and engage in
stimulating conversation with new and familiar faces alike, demystifying the exclusivity of closed-off studios that seek
to only serve guests based on a transactional basis."
