Teri Garr was set to be a star in 1968 in a proposed spin off from Star Trek. It didn't happen, and by 1971 she was still making crappy commercials like this one in between small guest roles on a zillion TV series. Finally in 1974 she had two significant roles in hit movies. And in 1977 she had her first lead actress roles in two hit movies - including Close Encounters - and after that she was a household name.
