Always loved her sense of humour and overall positive vibes. I know she is having difficulties with her health now but I wish her well and thank her for her contribution to the Entertainment World.

Michael Keaton, Martin Short...AND Teri Garr...what a powerhouse comedy "bench" it was on Carson that evening. Remember it well, from back when I could stay up that late into the night.
I am a Canadian man. This young woman absolutely crushed Msrtin Short, Michael Keaton and John. Who can do that anymore? She can. We need more of these women. What a sweetheart --- wth brains beyond.
This episode, like all of Johnny's episodes, shows how good Johnny really was at this. He knew it was important to let his guests talk, and it would be funny!
Teri was hiding her multiple sclerosis. She didn't disclose it ten years later. Her walk is unsteady and her right hand is often in a clench on her lap. She could have fallen due to being unsteady. She's always been a joy to watch.

I have a theory. I think Teri made up the story about falling down a flight of stairs to cover up her MS symptoms. She was working with MS for many years before she went public with it.

@4:16 "Mr Canadian Show Business Royalty I Suppose", she's beautiful, sweet, and when called for, can skewer Mr Ed Grimley himself with his own sword - who wouldn't be in love?
I figure they had known each other for years since she had shared digs with Carrie Fisher in the late 70's in NYC on the UWS. There was SNL cross pollination there, so to speak.
She played Roberta Lincoln opposite Robert Lansing as Gary Seven in Star Trek the original series episode 26 of season 2, "Assignment: Earth" first broadcast on 29 March 1968. That episode was a backdoor pilot for a new show which did not get picked up by the studio. This is considered to be Teri Garr's first significant TV role, although she had previously been a background go-go dancer in uncredited roles in youth-oriented films and TV shows including Pajama Party (a beach party film), the T.A.M.I. Show, Shindig!, Shivaree, Hullabaloo, Movin' with Nancy, and six Elvis Presley features, including Presley's most profitable film, Viva Las Vegas. However, in 1966, she had an uncredited appearance in episode seven of the TV show Batman entitled "Instant Freeze." "Star Trek was the first job where I had a fairly big (for me) speaking part," she related in her memoir, "I played Roberta Lincoln, a dippy secretary in a pink and orange costume with a very short skirt. Had the spin-off succeeded, I would have continued on as an earthling agent, working to preserve humanity. In a very short skirt." This led to her being, in her words, "cast as birdbrained lasses," in episodes of other TV shows. 1968 was a big year in Teri Garr's early career. In addition to her role on Star Trek, she appeared in both The Andy Griffith Show and Mayberry R.F.D., and was in two episodes of It Takes a Thief. Her first speaking role in a motion picture was a brief appearance as a damsel in distress in The Monkees' film Head (1968), written by Jack Nicholson, whom she had met in an acting class. I saw that original Star Trek episode's first broadcast when I was 7 years old.
Having a Teri Garr week. Such an angel. Just watched the movie "After Hours" she's in. What a crazy good film. And I do mean crazy....but good. I doubt she fell. Or maybe. But I think the bandage was just a ploy to cover her unstable walking. If you see her on Dave letterman at this same time she had clear walking issues. It’s sad that she felt the need to cover it up. But boy, was she ever funny. 😀
@@LindyK she feared IF people in the industry knew, she wouldn't get work. I think she was wise. BUT, doesn't mean she really didn't fall, it happened with the MS. Just love her.
