After filming this, Teri, Don Peak (Assistant) and I went downtown to the Los Anteles Theatre and saw "HARD DAY'S NIGHT"! That was 1964. What a moment in my life. Thank you Teri Garr.
just saw an old interview with Ms. Garr promoting her book Speed Bumps I think it was called and she talked about how she had been lucky enough to see a Beatles recording session while in London and then John took her and others for a spin in his new Rollsroyce car and she said she was staying at Cass Elliot's flatt there. Ms. Garr is very much apart of our 60's culture.
Teri and I were friends, auditioned together and I asked if she would like to make some films on weekends. She agreed and they were always improv and spontaneous, though Where's the Bus was thoroughly pre planned. Thank you for your comments and enjoying our film.
RIP, you wonderful human. I never heard one negative thing about Teri, and that says something about the woman she was. She had a career that I would have loved to have. May you fly whole and free now.
Man, I could watch Teri dance for hours! She is my all-time favorite actress. Thank you for sharing this beautiful little time capsule from the swinging sixties!
OMG you won't believe this, but I was actually there when this was being filmed! I was about 7 years old and I was going to a comic book shop across the street, about half a block down. I saw this _very_ pretty girl at the bus stop and wondered what the hell she was doing. Then I saw a guy with a camera and figured it must have something to do with that. Only in this moment have I finally learned what that was about.

The lady is a "keeper!" And lucky for you Hollywood Blvd of the time was not packed with costumed characters posing for Selfies. Teri was a REAL movie star and nobody knew it but you, John.
What a blast! The indescribable and delightful Terri Garr. No paid extras. Nobody's freaking out or gawking. One foreign (?) car at 4:20 and the rest American all the way. What a time, what an era. I lived it and didn't know it was paradise.
She had such a spark, what a beautiful & classy lady. I was always glad to see her in anything, and I really enjoyed her appearances on Letterman. Thanks!
if musicals hadn't died out, she'd have def been great in them. Watch "one from the heart", around 49 min. in, she does a great, contemporary dance with Raul Julia. Very skilled and more in the film. She never gave up on dancing.
@@paulgentile1024 And the "T.A.M.I. Show," which you can find on TH-cam and is worth the musical acts as well. (If only the audience would stop screaming "Beatles-style.")
SUPER Cute film. It really does capture a basic aspect of life. You can really get into something, anything - a thought, feeling, something you see or hear - and it moves you into an inspired state for a while. Then, it kinda "leaves", and you return to your "normal" day.
She danced her dance the way she wanted to. Thanks for the video. Thank you Terri, you brought us moments of light to help us through the darkness in our lives.
Little did those people on the streets and in those cars know that was going to be one of the most prolific actors in the 70's and 80's. Remembering Terri today.
Terri Garr was so cute and pretty; very talented dancer too. I felt so bad when I saw an interview by an Australian tv show and she had that terrible MS. She's so gracious and such a beautiful person.
I saw a young lady on an LIRR train station platform who was dancing to music that she only heard and it reminded me of this movie. As it turns out, she was a dance instructor, and had wireless earbuds in her ears.
Thank you for this. I think now it's going to be how I'll always remember Teri Garr. For me, this little clip captures the loveliness of her spirit and her beauty in such a timeless way that it makes me wish I"d known her. Thank you.
Oh, I miss Ms Garr. A RARE great, all round actress in everything she graced with her presence. Wish I could have thanked her. 🎸👨🏼⚕️🫶✌️♾️. 🇬🇧🏴🇺🇸🍁🍂🌲🎄🎅🏻.
Thank you for a bright spot in my day! If someone doesn't at least like Ms. Garr, it says more about them than her. But my fav piece of business was her cameo on Friends as Phoebe's birth mother. When Ms. Garr turned around, it completely explained Phobe Buffet.
I just KNEW the go go dancing was coming at some point....having watched her go go dance on various 60s TV shows. I think she won an Emmy for this role, too
Teri Garr, 1964- Good God, I love it!! She has always been an absolute, all time favorite of mine!! It's very hard to understand, how she has been stricken with M.S.!! We'll all have, some condition sometime!!! We love Teri, Keep in the fight!!!💖
Thank you, ghlyall! The whole day was built on spontaneity. I didn't tell Teri she would be dancing in the street until we got to Hollywood Blvd. It was a two day shoot, as it turned out. We had a lens accident on day one., though a good deal of the film had been shot. I will be going back to the negative this year and doing a new HD scan. Thank you for your post.
1964! Teri! wow! I was 12 at the time living in Glendale, ca. I also saw A hard days night at the famous Roxy tTeatre in Glendale....What a super special time. Thanks very much for sharing this....While the internet has so many bad ramifications, THIS is what it is all about to me! Mr. Harris, good luck in all else you do...
Loved Terri Garr. Ran into her several times over the years including a party at a friend's house up in the Hollywood Hills. A lovely person and very talented.
Teri was so adorable! I love the episode of Star Trek she did. Then there was that Fruit of the Loom commercial she did in the early 90s, when she was in her mid 40s and still driving the boys wild🥰
She had this way of seeming a simple-minded blond, but you always found real depth in her performances. A briiliant and unique actress. She made it look easy.
I am almost 64 and I remember seeing this when I was a young teen, I think Terry Garr did Alot of Cool Things back then that helped her become a Truly Amazing Actress, Very Beautiful To This Day!!
NOW THAT,S A GOOD PRESENTATION OF TERI AND THE CARS SHOW THE TIME FRAME. AND THE 57 PONTIAC ACROSSED THE STREET AT 3.23 IN HER DANCE SCENE IS LIKE THE ONES I OWNED IN THOSE DAYS !....////
Beautiful talented woman
1964 OUTTA SIGHT!!!

what a wonderful day. And it still comes thru. Thank you so much for the window through time.

Terry was so brilliant because Terri played Terri Gar in every single movie and we absolutely loved her
She never seemed like she was acting~

Nothing better encapsulates the vibe Teri Garr gives off better than this clip.

Terri Garr is always and forever the most beautiful and alive of all women. I always loved her witty tussles with Dave Letterman.
I think Dave enjoyed her jabbing right back at him, they had great comedic chemistry.
