I'd love to know how Spyderco does their m398 since its the most wear resistant stainless you can normally get (s125v is hard to come by and no one wants to work with it and Supracor/MPL 1 is like the holy grail). I have a custom in M398 at 64-64.5 hrc and it's been incredible. Close to s125v at same hardness in edge retention, but they wear differently (but it does get sharper than s125v).
It's an avocado, pretty sure exclusively from rivers edge cutlery, They usually sell out fast. Not sure if they will drop other models in the same colorway but I suppose it's possible.
Im holding my delica, it has a lovely wharnclife in vg10 and is sharp as a razor, i love me a distal taper. In my other hand i have my tenacious which is only in 8cr 13mov but its much better than you might think which i think is down to their excellent heat treatment. Im in the UK and i like my sheffield knives but i do like my spydercos.

The pd#1 edges are crazy sharp. Grabbed 2 police 4’s an Endura and a Stretch 2 XL and they are awesome. Takes a wicked sharp edge👍🏻
