    A few months back Midway had them for $35! Now they are 107$ over there!

    Awesome knife , it reminds me of my cold steel 6” ti-lite. I love the ti-lite, despite it being a huge knife, I love its shape when it’s folded up , it just slips into your pocket and it has a great snag and deploy mechanism.

    • @BladeBench
      @BladeBench  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I totally agree! The ti-lites are awesome and I’ve got a full vid of one of the Kris blade ti lites on my channel. Thanks for watching!

    Good stuff, i carry the cs raja 2 alot, been thinkin about gettin the cs hold out xl.

      @BladeBench  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I’ve yet to have either of those
      Knives in my hand but would love to check them out. I ended up getting the counter point over the holdout just due to me thinking it looks cooler. Thanks for watching!

    I would love to get my hands on the Boker Kalasnikov XXL with the bowie shape. I think its 4.75 blade on an auto; really cool looking.

    For a while these were only 40 bucks on Midway.
    Only complaints I have is the tip doesn't sit as deep as I'd like (very easy to get the point exposed, only takes a mm or so) and the spine was _super_ sharp, I had to take sandpaper to it to even handle it. The grind isn't isn't perfect as you said at 4:46

    • @BladeBench
      @BladeBench  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Wow $40 for the XL?? That’s a great steal and you’re right, the tip just barely sits in there. Thanks for watching!

      @@BladeBench edit: syntax error
      Yes sir I just checked and they went back up to 99.
      I might try to file down the flat spot behind the sharpened edge (idk what it's called) that rests on the cross pin when closed to try to get it to sit lower.
      Usual cold steel mods of bending the pocket clip and sanding down the grivory handle where it sits (I wished they used the old school rough g10 on everything lol) for smooth pocket carry and it's a pretty good. I wasn't even really interested but I couldn't pass on the deal. At this standard price I recommend the large espada over it every day but it you can get it cheaper just buy one to beat on you won't be disappointed. Lock up is still super solid but it's easy to depress and the lock bar itself doesn't sit as deep as I thought it would.
      Snaggletooth is a fantastic idea and plan on buying one for just for the ease of deployment

      @BladeBench  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Rick-dzm yeah the large size espada for me is almost a perfect knife. thanks again for watching!

    Midgards Messer has several with over 5" blade, and I have them all. I only have the Rajah I and the original Espada XL in micarta from CS, since I only collect 5"+ blades that are high end. I am looking for a Maxon Vortex in Timascus (sold out), but they have other, less expensive versions of this 5" knife. Except for certain CS, Maxon, and Midgards MMesser, I don't know of anyone who makes quality 5" plus blades. Please let me know if you find any others.

    The Daggerr Vendetta is 5", the Daggerr Pelican is almost 4" and has a pocket open option on some models. But the Pelican pocket open is not very good. I got my Counter Piont XL from Midway for $44! Watch Midway for deals on CS knives. That's where I got my Spartan, AD15 and 4Max Scout too.

      @@BladeBench Thanks for making them! I've just started watching your videos maybe a week ago or so (shorts are how I'd stumbled across you) and I've searched for a couple of the knives. If you sign up as an Amazon affiliate, you could earn a little bit just thru that - and a convenience for your viewers, who may or may not be blade junkies :)
      Either way - hope you keep up the great content and I'm with you, I do like my little 3.5-4" edc's, but it's nice to have a larger one sometimes.
