- Steam distilling essential oils with a 240 volt system is extremely fast and efficient. In this video, we show you how to use our 240 volt essential oil steam distiller. This is an excellent system for steam distilling essential oils at home, including lavender, bergamot, peppermint, frankincense and rosemary. However, for this demonstration, we take our system to the Rabbit Mountain Lavender Farm in Boulder, Colorado where our friend Dave shows us how he steam distills lavender essential oil and hydrosol.

brilliant!!!!!!! thanks for sharing
wow very useful
Nice video ! Is there any issues if you want to do alcohol distillation after you used the still for essential oil ? Will there be any oil residues in the condenser ?
Where one can buy a distilling equipment like this?
I enjoyed your this video, including mistake and then nicely covered correction.
BTW what was the weight of cold raw lavender? and what was the EO was 23 ml and Florence water ?
Nice video! If you run the still too hot you get less oil and more hydrosol. With that much lavender you stuffed in the still you should have more oils. Lavender should be a lower temp to get a bigger yield of oil IMHO. At higher temp you also get a slight burnt smell on your oil and hydrosol. How is this still different?
Can’t wait to make beer essentials oils 👀
😂
How would you compare the final result to the extract made by percolation? Is it the same? Very different? If there are differences, do "normal" people (not someone like sensory/smell/taste master) are able to feel them?
nice looking system. I would use it to make whiskey or vodka as doing that is legal in Canada! Cheers 😁👍🍺
Where did you hear that distilling liquor is legal in Canada? lol Not without a licence it's not. Just don't tell, and they'll probably leave you alone...a "friend" told me this. 😉
Will this method work for juniper monasperma needles?
i do have enjoyed your video , and gives me lots of ideas to trying this my self , thank you very much for your share , i am from belgium flanders ;-) Carl
so as i like it very much ,i already subscribed to your channel also , sorry for my english 😁😊
Hi! I hope you can help to find where to buy that machine
Can you use it for drinking water?
Does a still like this exist in copper?
What does the oil retail for on a $/ml ratio?
I did taste a local lavender beer once, micro brewery based in Yorkshire, England.
THX a Ton for using international standard measures like milli-liters ... its really not rocket science and much better to count as in Gallons ♥
When I prepare an oil where i can sell it online
How much is the machine?
Is that steam distilling essential oil buyable?
Yup! Clawhammersupply.com
How did we get from beer to here
A better question is how did we get from here to Beer…
Its almost as if you are putting the lavender in a thumper no? Why cant you just put the lavender in the first pot with the water and then condense it? thanks, tom
you will get less oil if you do it that way. With tough plants like rosemary that is the preferred way. Steam distillation is the way to go with laveneder.
Is it possible to get full details of the accessories ?
