This was really useful. I live in East Africa and have some demonstration farms growing Eucalyptus trees for timber. Would be great to be able to show people how to supplement the timber income by making eucalyptus oil from the leaves. Your video was most helpful.
I like how these videos feel like other high quality home tutorials from TH-cam instead of instructional/bossy business TH-cam channels
This was pretty cool team! I have been wondering about distilling essential oils for a while now.

Would you get better yield by cutting most of the green stems from the flowers, then replacing the volume saved with more flowers?
Thats actually really cool.
Excellent tutorial!

Cheers!
Besides some question already ask, I got a question about the plants. Does the plants flowering for a second time after cutting them? I hope you will go through the questions and take some time to answer them. Cost less time than making the video. Anyway thank you for the video.

Any thoughts on utilizing this method for extracting hop oils from homegrown hops for whirlpool/dry hopping?

how much does/would this set up cost any ideas?
Should take thin clear case of it. Put heated plate underneath it. Face down solar panel on top, like lid...See if the panel gets charge from facing the oil with heat rising under it.
Where do I go to buy this equipment?
Different from the usual content but very nice nonetheless! Interesting topic, though it's unlikely that I will be stilling essential oils anytime soon.

You're putting the lavender stems dry into the still? I'm just curious why dry versus not wetting them? I've seen soaking the stems so they're drenched and then packing it into the still. Is that not the right way or just a preference? What has been your experience?

When is the lavender at the right stage to cut for distilling
Depends of your lavander geographic location, climate. I believe when 80% of flowers are fully open & in the hotest part of the day, when plant juice it's in peak

Why leave the stems
Why not just cut the bottom green parts of the plants off and only put the flower portion in it so you can fit more?
Why not just put the flowers into a pot of boiling water and then collect the oil floating on the top, after it cools down?
CBD?
Is most efficient...if used ,supercritical fluid extraction..
Do you have any book or list for materials that I could distillate?
