- In this video I made a custom panel for the underside of my trunk lid. As you may know the underside of the trunk isn't the most attractive part of the car, so I took it upon myself to change that. I was inspired by other carpeted panels I have seen and decided to make something completely custom and one of a kind and I couldn't be happier with the result!
I used:
7/32 Plywood project panel (2ftx4ft)
Large Pieces of Cardboard (for template)
Black Acrylic Felt
Self-Tapping Screws
Hammer Stapler (1/4in staples)
9in Red LED bars (amazon)
Speaker Wire
Oversized Mustang Emblem
Various Fastners, zip ties, tape, wire etc.
Sick
Thanks man
U could make templates…I don’t have patience for this type of stuff lol
I still have the cardboard template and can easily cut out more of them if anyone would like a panel for their car. It was definitely testing my patience. I messed with the cardboard template for at least 3 hours trimming and testing the fit lol
@@MillennialDad92 I’d be interested in a template
@@DavidSmith-lo3ub I just seen where you commented on my Facebook post and I replied to it. Contact me on there and we can figure it out!
What tint do you have on windows?
It is 5% limo tint all the way around. I still have to do my windshield strip and may make a video showing how to do it. These cars are the easiest in the world to tint because of how the doors don’t have metal above where the glass sits.
@@MillennialDad92 yeah I just tinted mine for the first time and I wish I went with 5% instead of 20
@@dieselkumar6451 on my first car I ever had I went with 20. Soon after I wanted darker so I tinted right over top of it with 5%. It was ridiculous and a cop friend measure it to be less that 1% light getting thru I left the back window 20 so I could still see out of it. On your doors another layer of 20% would make it right about 5%.
@@dieselkumar6451 20% of 20% will put you at 4% tint, right where you want to be. Just buy some tint and tint right over the doors and you’ll be sitting pretty. I had mine like that for years and loved it.
@@MillennialDad92 that would be a better idea then having to remove and tint again.
