No Way Home was like a guy who instead of only continuing to build his own house, finished the two unfinished buildings next to it, making the entire Spider-Man street look better. And that's what a multiverse story should do. Not just using elements or characters from other realities/timelines, but also having an impact on those other universes and their characters. A big critizism against multiverses is that they remove consequences. But you can't remove consequences on a personal character arc scale, no matter through how many timelines or alternate realities said character travels through. For a character, being from another reality isn't much different narratively than being from another town, just on a larger scale.

This won't ever happen because Warner Bros rarely ever does what the fans want. And the Superman and Lois writers probably just want to focus on finishing their storylines for their final season. But I would give anything for one more multiverse crossover involving most of the DCTV shows like Gotham with David Mazouz as Batman, Lynda Carter's Wonder Woman and Birds of Prey (never watched the last two but hear me out) and especially the ones that were unfairly cancelled: Legends of Tomorrow, Stargirl, Powerless and I didn't watch it but also Swamp Thing. And I heard from the actress who played the tituar Naomi wanted to meet Superman despite being in a universe seperate from the ACTUAL Superman. Finally, I would have the crossover end by having all of these shows take place in the same universe like Crisis on Infinite Earths. Except for some shows that would contradict the timeline like Smallville and Gotham, obviously. The whole point of all these projects staying separate in its' own universe was stand out on their own, not relying on another show's popularity and messing up the timeline of other shows. But they're all over now and some characters in some universes don't exist; they might as well break reality and make them cohabitate in the same world! Their respective networks clearly don't give a shit about them. But the writers do! Seeing Lynda Carter's Wonder Woman, the Earth Prime Justice League, the Earth 2 JSA, the Titans, the Doom Patrol, Swamp Thing and Powerless retconned to be in the same world would be perfect for me! And they could also return to this universe in future projects once in a while like the DCAU! And it has to made by competent people who respect each of these shows. With better writing, direction, VFX, etc. Smallville has an animated series in the works; maybe it could start from there! And the crew making the show, mainly Michael Rosenbaum, is close with James Gunn. But I'd rather the entire story be a miniseries branded as Elseworlds as James Gunn put it instead of just a storyline on Superman and Lois.
The multiverse is supposed to be mind blowing or even beyond what the human mind can handle. The mirror verse was mind blowing in doctor strange. Some times it just ends up being generic special effects. It can be fun fan service like in now way home and when Deadpool meets the wolverines. But as we have seen it can also be used for lazy writing

Zod could have been replaced with (a version of) Brainiac just to change things up (not that it would have saved that absolute dumpster fire of a ‘movie’)
The Flash was a much better movie than Spider-Man: No Way Home. The multiverse felt like a gimmick in No Way Home where as The Flash told an interesting story about fate, what you can and can’t change and more. That’s why Flash is one of the top ten best superhero movies ever made
@@Fantagonistic Yuppers. Gambit. "I didn't know my daddy, but I'm sure I shot outta his dick ready." Loved Channing Tatum finally getting to play Gambit.
Nice video. But, I believe your premise regarding Batman in the Flash movie is incorrect. That IS supposed to be the Michael Keaton from Batman 89. It was just a poor choice of character non-development. Same with Zod and George Clooney. In Cloneys case, Barry’s small changes in the timeline merged timelines. I would also argue that in Deadpool and wolverine, the use of wolverine was even worse. Because, even though it wasn’t the same wolverine, the fact that it was Hugh Jackman just takesyou out of the movie, especially since the other Wolverines that they showed looked very different than Hugh Jackman. So why have him in the movie if he’s not the same Wolverine , which he wasn’t. They were just doing fan service for people to come out to see Hugh Jackman one more time. What saved DP and W was that It was a well written script.
I think if Logan hadn’t been so beloved and well received they would have used the original Hugh Jackman version, but they chose not to because of how many people were invested in that finale for the character. I appreciated that they made the D&W version different from the original to explore the character instead of just being a carbon copy. In Flash they say that sometimes timelines converge giving you similarities between universes during time travel changes as an excuse to use the same actor and similar continuity, but it’s not the same one. Especially since he’s wiped from existence and replaced with Clooney’s version at the end.
@Fantagonistic That part you said about Clooney's Batman erasing Keaton's Batman is actually incorrect. This is a common misconception. Sam Hamm, the screenwriter from Batman 89 and Batman Returns tweeted that the 2 Schumacher films take place on Earth-97. Whereas the 2 Burton films take place on Earth-89. The 3rd movie on Earth-89 would have been Batman Continues, and just because that movie never came out doesn't mean it isn't part of Earth-89's continuity. Like the scene of Nicolas Cage from Superman Lives in The Flash. Barry didn't erase the universe he was in with Keaton's Batman, he traveled from Earth-89 to Earth-97. He put himself on another strand of spaghetti like Keaton said. And yes, that WAS the Batman from the Burton movies. Why would they have gone to all that effort to get Michael Keaton, recreate Wayne Manor, the Batcave, Batmobile, Batsuits, and score Elfman's theme just for that to not be the Batman of Earth-89?
@ They explicitly said in the movie that sometimes the strands cross, not that they were traveling from one strand to another. We saw that the other universes were represented by the orbs towards the end of the movie. Everything they did while changing time was within the one orb. Barry never travelled to another Earth in this film, he just changed the timeline of the Earth he was on and it caused other things in the timeline to shift as well. I do know that the Burton and Schumacher films are based on two different earths. I would have preferred if this movie was Barry traveling the multiverse instead of the strange time travel rules they came up with.
@@Fantagonistic Bruce did tell him that he puts himself on another strand of spaghetti. Meaning another timeline. They weren't entirely clear on certain details. It was odd to show the other universes as orbs at the end. The time travel structure in this movie was the only way they could get Ezra Miller's Flash to meet up with Michael Keaton's Batman without straight up going to another universe. Time travel and multiversal travel on The CW Flash makes much more sense. What's odd is that during CW's Crisis On Infinite Earths event, Grant Gustin's Flash and Ezra Miller's Flash met up briefly. Meaning 2 Flashes from 2 different sections of universes with different structures of time travel and multiversal travel were able to meet with each other. The Flash movie overall was good. Yeah, some of the effects should have been better and they should have structured and explained time travel better, but for what we got it is worth a re-watch which I have many times. I just hope we get a Flash movie in the future that's more like The Flash we know.
@ I really like the CW Flash’s version of time and multiverse travel because it’s much closer to the comics. I was disappointed Grant Gustin’s Flash did not cameo in the movie as well

Dawg your premise is horseshit. No Way Home, Loki, Deadpool and Wolverine, Dr Strange 2 are some of the best and most successful projects the MCU has ever done. Outside of Marvel Everything Everywhere All at Once won Oscars and critical acclaim. Your presenting your opinion as fact and the numbers prove your false.
Ecerything, Everywhere, All at Once did the Multiverse correctly and made people really excited about the concept. No Way Home and D&W also did an excellent job at the Multiverse in my opinion so people loved them a lot! Loki used the idea well sometimes, but wasn't clear about the rules of multiversal differences. And yes, Dr. Strange 2 made a lot of money, but with the hype surrounding it I think it should have made over a billion dollars. There are moments in all these movies that are interesting, but all combined besides NWH and D&W they've done a poor job at explaining to people what the multiverse is.
@@Fantagonistic Meh No Way Home wasn't that great for me in cinema or trying to rewatch. Yea that's why he is the MCUs Junitor in my eyes. I hope he will finlay get bad guys who really hates Spider-Man instead of hating Tony Stark or other Spider-Men!!! He needs his Own Villians who hate Peter Parker and Spider-Man..this is why i will always pick Tobey's Spider-Man over the MCU Janitor Spider-Man.
Great job on this, got a sub from me. i can't wait for the next one. Keep it up bud!
Absolutely will!
“Sony is still threatening us w/…” 😂😂😂
I only watch it because I’m into the multiverse stuff
I love Multiverse stories in comics more than any other! That’s why I’m frustrated when they don’t know hoe to use it,

Burn me at the stake, but I wouldn't say no to George Clooney doing a Batman again.
Provided it's written in a semi-sane manner and without Bat-nipples.
I don’t care for TASM3. If they do make it, they need to have the Peter Meets His Father scene added back into TASM2.
I'm off to go watch ....SPAAAACE GHOOOOST !😊

Watch more movies, not just comic book movies....but more variety of genres and subgenres, that's all I would respond to that comment...
Imma save you 16 minutes: cause it’s shite
Zod could have been replaced with (a version of) Brainiac just to change things up (not that it would have saved that absolute dumpster fire of a ‘movie’)
You need to watch Sliders.
nwh damn near character assasinated every character in that movie lmao

"I care." - Luke Skywalker
The Flash was a much better movie than Spider-Man: No Way Home. The multiverse felt like a gimmick in No Way Home where as The Flash told an interesting story about fate, what you can and can’t change and more. That’s why Flash is one of the top ten best superhero movies ever made
What about classic characters who never got to live their story finally get to live their story? Of whom doth aye speak, laddie?
@@ChuckJansenII Gambit in Deadpool and Wolverine would be the best example.
@@Fantagonistic Yuppers. Gambit. "I didn't know my daddy, but I'm sure I shot outta his dick ready."

Flash better than nwh

@@plasticweapon As do I. Sadly a lotta people aren’t interested due to how they’ve introduced the concept to viewers
FIlm found stupid ways to introduce these characters, stupid ways to introduce villains that wasn't even consistent with its own plot. The two Peter's hadn't evolved at all like they had been stuck in time (Andrew still mourning Gwen 10 yuears later and Toby still doing 'will they, won't they?' I get your points about The Flash etc but NWO as a multiverse concept was also such a big letdown considering the scope of what they could have done. And Spider-verse proved that
@@au6769 My only issue with how they introduced characters is that I don’t believe Dr. Strange would have been so reckless as to do the spell that caused this in the first place.
@@au6769 Exactly.I think he's blinded by the nostalgia of NWH like alot of people still are.NWH was just a nostalgia bait the movie.Spiderverse is way better multiverse movie than the overrated NWH.
@@marktheshark7588I’m not blinded by nostalgia, but I do agree that Spiderverse is a much better multiverse movie.
The flash was mostly so horrible because of the actors off screen actions .
Then the star wars actors and directors had to start attacking the fans because the fans didn't want to buy into the WOKE DEI CRAP they made there story around.
Now it's happening again with snow white and the actress playing the part.
what happened to the good old days where the studio higherd good wrighters solid directors and then actors who stay faithful to the content do there job and keep there mouth shut before and during production.

Andeew Garfields spiderman was not beloved. It failed big time back in the day ! I dont get how everyone has forget it lol
Lazy writing, sex and race swapping, because they're not creative enough to come up with their own characters or let alone use the characters that are already there for their political messages, MCU and DCU are dead af
