There are some things that I would change but I don't think they're ruined I think they are a salvageable. It just takes good writing. Although, you make great points
@@Fantagonistic I think the problem is that they are afraid to use these characters. If you look at the first MCU Saga, then for all 23 films, even secondary characters had 5 or more appearances in different films, and in the main ones, all 9-10. And not all of these characters were liked by the audience from the very beginning. But they did not put them on the shelf, but used them again and tried to do better each time. Now each of the main characters in the new Saga has a maximum of two appearances in different projects. How does Marvel want people to love these characters as much as the original Avengers if they don't even get a chance to get to know them properly? Did the audience like Shang Chi? Let's not make him a sequel for a few more years! Did the audience not like the Iron Heart or the Eternals? Cancel all our future plans for them, and postpone what we have already done as long as possible so that people forget that they don't like these characters. JUST USE YOUR CHARACTERS AND MAKE THEM BETTER EACH TIME! Although the audience is also to blame. Because if someone previously didn't like, for example, the second Thor, then it was simply perceived as a bad movie. Now, if someone doesn't like something, then it equates to the end of the world and the coming of Satan! I don't know how Marvel should work normally in such conditions.
Simply due to her optimism Ms. Marvel probably could be saved if they just focus on her and only her no teams no other marvels just her having her own adventures again
Kang losing to Ant-Man completely nullifies him as an Avengers level threat. If Ant-Man lost with either o.g. Ant-Man and/or new Wasp dying putting in a position to need help would have given some credibility.
Truly believed we were gonna get a star crossed lovers story between kang and revonna and there was probably a good chance where we see rovonna betrays kang and steal the power (kinda like what doom did to kang) then she becomes the ruler to battleworld
@@unproblematicchicken9662 the Kang era could’ve been better than this RDJ doom shit but it is what it is maybe one day they will attempt to have Kang be the main villain in the future cause he’s a villain to a lot of teams in marvel including X men
Just put Kate Bishop in the actual Avengers at this point. She's like a similar age to Peter and Shang. They could all become friends, and I think audiences would love that
Honestly, young avengers have always been the discount team you read after you are out of Avengers stories to read and then you realize how you only were reading avengers cause Xmen is being rough lately
I mean, they are a derivative for sure, it's in their name but Avengers and Xmen have existed for ages as main cash cows, while the YA are more like just a group of friends.
@@quakethedoombringerand that’s because they aren’t young anything like they are young but it’s not like young versions of superheroes they’re just superheroes that are young
The problems with the Young Avengers is that the MCU removed and fired Kang the conqueror, the Young Avengers nemesis, therefore also removing Iron Lad the leader and the person destined to assemble the Young Avengers, also most of them just have bad, arrogant personalities like America Chavez is suppose to be a fearless badass, not a scaredy-cat, and how the MCU made Cassie Lang an unbearable asshole, or like how Ironheart makes us Iron man fans miss him even more, but for what it is worth Kate Bishop is my favorite and only best Young Avengers to ever come out of phase 4.
The problem is they introduced them all in TV shows that a lot of people didn’t watch. Multiverse of madness alone left so many fans confused and disliking the movie because they didn’t understand Wanda being evil all the sudden. Forming a whole team that were introduced “off screen” to movie watchers would’ve been a disaster
Holy shit, can't believe they really introduced Hulk's son like that! How embarrassing. It's truly stunning when you contrast the momentum the MCU built up over the first 10 years of its existence with how its potential has been completely squandered in the last five. Bringing back RDJ and Evans is a true Haul Mary that also reveals the franchise is creatively bankrupt. If you can't make a compelling movie with a property like Dr. Doom on it's own merits without resorting to stunt casting, you're admitting defeat.
Yeah but the dumbasses at marvel thought making all the Kangs the same actor was a good idea it'd be so cool if every time we saw kang it wss a different actor even a different race some times because if it wss like that every time there's a black character everyone would think its kang so itd be a better twist
@@Pat12379it would be better if they make it an entity that can become anyone, like RDJ, Michael Jackson, Jackie Chan, etc. That way they can not only get away with recasting (because multi-verse) but can also gaslight audiences into believing that anyone can be Kang in disguise. I don't know why they are only fixated on Johnathan Majors
Realistically speaking outta all of these characters Kamala is the one people probably know the most cause everyone knew about her even before the show. Besides Miles she’s one of the most well known newer characters in Marvel
@ it would still probably be Kamala because of cartoon shows she’s been in outside of the comics and the MCU. For the rest of the their popularity is tied to the comics and MCU. And if not Kamala then definitely Wiccan because of Agatha’s success and just gay people in general
The problem with the young Avengers is how they were introduced. We haven’t seen their hero journey, pretty much all of them are just amazing with their powers/abilities and so much better than the original Avengers. Cassie Lang was unbearable and unlikable in Antman 3, I wasn’t interested in Ms. Marvel but it seems like she’s going down the same path. None of the Young Avengers have made an impression on the viewers. We don’t care about them, we haven’t followed their journey like we did for Tony Stark and Steve Roger’s. The MCU just thrust them at us and told us to love them like we did the others.
That's true. Most of them are side characters, literal Mcguffins, or just too unlikeable to have a solo movie built upon. The only thing came close is Hailey from Hawkeye series, and even then she is already approaching the age where she should be in the adult Avengers group instead
The characters in New Avengers just aren’t appealing, and Marvel has done a poor job of making us care about them. Instead of introducing unfamiliar faces, they should focus on continuing with the beloved characters we already know and love. Alternatively, a reboot might help, but at this point, it feels like Marvel’s momentum has run its course. The excitement that once defined the franchise seems to be fading, and people are starting to lose interest.
@@ManikiMPACT although I agree that they are not charming enough, I would argue that rebooting legacy character is a really short sighted as well since the new actors would just be compared to the old one, especially RDJ's Iron man
All the kiddie Avengers they've introduced have seemed pretty much the same as each other and none of them likeable or charismatic. Mainly seem like a bunch of bratty teen girls.
@@loganr6203 Yeah she did have a more likeable charisma to her actually when she isn't screeching over the top. Kinda forget about her as I only saw her in Captain Marvels 2 but she was the only real highlight of that.
Yeah. They’re either all little Peter Parker’s who act like fanboys or just quirky and quippy. That’s not really interesting at all. There won’t be any real contention or anything with their dynamic as a team if they’re all basically the same character.
Hey kate was adorable, her charisma was the fact she was an absolute failure of a person and that makes her instantly one of my faves. Her chemistry with Yelena was one of the best parts of hawkeye
Actually I think the biggest mistake the MCU made was introducing them on projects before the Young Avengers, a very important factor in the comics is that no one knows who the hell they are, not even themselves, the kid that looks like a teen Thor? He's actually the son of the Scarlet Witch, the guy who looks like Hulk? He is actually a shapeshifter son of Captain Marvel and a Skrull, the girl with a bow and arrows? She literally came out of nowhere The mystery about who they are is a big part of the comic, even the actual avengers are confused by this kids running around in costumes, giving us all of their backstories on a silver plate doesn't work for this team
@@juanmiguel3301 I completely agree. It was super interesting to learn about each of them across the series. It was also a smart way to introduce new readers to some more convoluted elements of Marvel lore.
Am I the only one who has no interest in the young avengers? I’d rather Marvel focus their efforts into the Fantastic Four and the X-Men. And if there is to be an avengers team, it should only be the new avengers, not the young ones.
No you aren’t. These legacy characters are so boring and generic looking. You literally have to invest hours if not days worth of catching up on marvel tv shows, just to understand who they are. And I don’t think the average person wants to do that. I don’t want to do that and I consider myself a pretty big marvel fan.
@@shantaehalf-geniehero4318honestly the post credit scene should have been different actores acting as variants of Kang like Loki having different actors being Loki

If you look at MCU as a whole, we've lost a lot of potential Avengers movies along the way. For example, New Avengers after Age of Ultron, or Secret Avengers after Civil War. And besides it just being cool to get more movies about different Avengers, it would also make room for supporting characters like Natasha, Clint, Sam, Wanda, Vision, and Rhodey. And when it came to making them the main characters in the next phases, people would accept them better, because they would know them better. Then in the next Saga they could introduce the Dark Avengers. Valentina de Fontaine, on Ross' orders, would assemble a replacement for the original Avengers and the team would include John Walker, Justin Hammer, Elena Belova, Abomination, Sentry, and Bullseye (or Taskmaster if Bullseye wasn't available at the time). And now we are left without the Young Avengers, for which we spent 4 years on the teaser, and now they just pushed it to the side. And what's more, we were left without one more film about the New Avengers before Doomsday to better emotionally attach to the new team. Holy shit, we could get five different Avengers movies in each Saga!
Most of those were ideas/theories though there we're seeds but it wasn't groundbreaking for the plot since all roads clearly led to Infinity War. In this case there were clear seeds and buildup only for it to poof and blunder. (And ik that's barely the cliffnotes version of it but I just don't feel like typing it all out hands tired srry if you get the gist you get it 😭😭)
@@Fantagonistic They've been driven into a corner thinking that Avengers movies have to be these giant save-the-world or save-the-universe movies and thinking that's all the fans want. I'd happily watch a movie where the Avengers are on relatively smaller missions. Like, take a scene from the beginning of Civil War and make an entire New Avengers movie out of it. But team Crossbones up with some other cool Avengers villain from the comics or previous movies, because Rumlow alone wasn't enough for this team for the entire movie, and of course give them motivation and a plot purpose. And then just imagine, at the end of the third act, Crossbones detonates not a regular bomb, but a nuclear bomb in the middle of the city. And the movie ends with the Avengers just standing there helplessly looking at a big radioactive mushroom cloud and a city burned to the ground. The Avengers would have lost at the end of the movie, long before Infinity War, and that would have been a real loss, with no way to turn it back. I think people would have gone crazy leaving the theaters after that ending. I know it was a long time ago and these thoughts won't change anything, but I just thought about it and I can't stop thinking about it. Although it shows once again how many opportunities we missed in the rush to Infinity War and the Endgame. Looking back, doing them so quickly was a mistake. And now the same thing is happening, but worse.
The problem is Marvel leaned too much into Kang/Multiverse and not enough into "The Avengers are gone." This could have been the perfect Dark Reign era. "Black Widow" and "Falcon & Winter Soldier" already showed us that there is someone acting as a dark mirror to what Nick Fury and Phil Coulson were in the previous arc. But she seems to be getting her own mimicked version of the original 6 Avengers. We don't know WHY that is, we just know she is. And that's what they should have focused on. "WandaVision" perfectly explored why Wanda and Vision are off the board. They could have and should have leaned into removing big heroes off the board while simultaneously showing Val acquire another Avenger analog for her team. USAgent, Yelena Belova, Abomination, Bullseye (from the Daredevil series) and though there isn't an Iron Man or Thor person running around YET, but they could have used this opportunity to bring Justin Hammer back and use him to introduce Riri Williams OR use The Vulture to be their "Tony Stark". So that's their team. Then, the fallout from the Eternals is the world saw Arishem the Celestial in the Sky as well as the Celestial turned to stone rising out of the ocean. This has everyone on edge about aliens coming back. Just in time for the fallout of "Thor: Love & Thunder" to happen. Hercules, very loudly, comes to earth, looking for Thor. This is the opportunity Val had been waiting for. So she sends her team of non-Avengers to fight Hercules. The fight is huge and causes a lot of collateral damage and kills a civilian, which is ignored by everyone until the person that got killed unmorphs to reveal it was a skrull. Everyone freaks out and the public panics. "Who else could be an alien?!" That's right, the movie just became "Secret Invasion". The Thunderbolts, in their investigations, begin harassing civilians and making the public feel unsafe around them. Now, either they can wrap up the story in that single movie OR have it end on a cliffhanger with the reveal of the Queen Veranke or reveal that there IS a queen. Then it leads into either a series or a sequel movie. That's where the teens get reintroduced as they've become their neighborhoods' watch. As they meet where their territory clashes, they form 3 different teams, eventually meeting to solve a single, big crime. Together, they all figure out who the Skrull Queen is and how to stop their big plan. Deciding to work together permanently as the Thunderbolts are NO replacement for the Avengers, then they'll be the Avengers themselves. Eventually they come up against the Skrull Radical Cult AND THE Thunderbolts. And, after their very public wins, they've officially become The Young Avengers.
@@jerfuhrer2581 The world without the Avengers angle would have been the better route. I found it so strange how it did seem like they were setting that up and then just ignored it.
@Fantagonistic It would have been the perfect play place to introduce new villains and to have the villains win some movies. Or tell the movies from the villains' perspectives. Or just spend the time removing as many of thr leftover heroes from active duty as possible. Dr. Strange got lost into some dimensional maze; Wanda went crazy and died; Hulk's arm can't heal because of INFINITY DAMAGE.
I think Marvel ignores The Young Avengers on purpose because we already got this perfect, 2008 animated film, the Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow. Yeah it’s an animated movie you watch on TV, but, like the DC Animated Universe, it’s perfectly big and epic. When it’s big and epic, it wasn’t trying to look ahead to others.
The Young Avengers being set up only for Marvel to do nothing with them is really emblematic of how aimless this whole Multiverse Saga has felt. Its been nothing but a whole bunch of set up with no sense of direction or pay off.
Marvel being extremely reactionary and changing things on the fly has been a double-edged sword for them for so long. It worked out more or less until Endgame, but the delays and stuff like Majors' controversy seems to made them lose grip.
They completely squashed this team’s potential. Young Avengers work with the tie-in to Kang. Champions work with the Avengers being seen as no longer the heroes they were. There is not a narrative reason for their existence. Ironheart is replacing Iron Man, Kate is the new Hawkeye, etc? Just put them on the Avengers roster. You could even call their team The New Avengers, but building a team of characters from lackluster projects doesn’t make people want to see these projects. Put them in an Avengers movie first. Show in that movie why they are worthy and get the audiences to actually see something they are in. THEN create a team up movie for them. Thunderbolts already botched the comics Thunderbolts and Dark Avengers explanations for the team forming.
I don’t even think that is the blunder. I think it’s js their inability to capitalize off the Young Avengers hype, (not completely their fault) and now, all the actors they hired in the roles, are way too old to be called “Young” Avengers. Most of the MCU changes they’ve made have been for the better, so maybe this one will be too.
@@00pium_kingvampstan even if they had capitalized it, I would have had no interest in a bizarre frankenteam. Ms. Marvel specifically should not be on the Young Avengers and I lost interest in it once they got her involved.
@ What team should she be on then? She wouldn’t fit on the Avengers. She could fit on the Guardians, and obviously the Inhumans but they haven’t been introduced. (And when they were, they nearly killed Marvel TV before it even started.) and maybe the New warriors, but again, not introduced.
@00pium_kingvampstan strong disagree that she wouldn't fit on the Avengers. Ms. Marvel is basically the only teenage Avenger that ever actually works. Can't think of even one other.
I would never watch anything with the recast Cassie Lang!! I didn’t even watch the movie just what I saw online was irritating. She was nothing but an ungrateful brat who disrespected her father who literally helped bring half of everything back.
I really agree on what you are talking about because I was really hyped about Kang appearing in the MCU. I saw Kang in Earth's Mightiest Heroes and I really liked the villian. Though he wasn't sadly known as much. It really makes sense that he would be the main villian for the multiverse saga since he is a time traveling conqueror. After Endgame, it would make sense for the original Avengers like Captain America to pass on the torch to the Younger Avengers where they would later face a new threat like Kang. The original three phases were well constructed. But the newer phases seem to lose that structure looking more like the Corporate Influence seems to have taken over the MCU. They only saw profit gaining as more important than writing a good story for the people. It felt more like some of the younger Avengers were being shoehorned without proper explanation nor emphasis like Iron Heart which people didn't like as much. There is also the shoehorning of the priorities of Disney Plus where people are forced to watch the Disney Plus shows just to understand the story of the next upcoming movie which feels more like a distraction. The MCU's current story does feel too over convoluted, they really tried to squeeze in Kang into Ant Man 3. That really hurt the character's reputation. The stories in the MCU now don't look like they're really leading to anywhere at all. I was really excited about the character Kamala Khan appearing in the MCU since I really liked the character in the comics and the animated media. I was disappointed because I didn't think the actress physical body size matched the character and her powers were changed a lot from the comics. The most recent worst thing was Kang was thrown out at the last minute. They shoehorned Doctor Doom into the MCU. Then they make a last ditch cash cow choice of bringing back Robert Downey Jr who used to be Iron Man and is forever known as Iron Man to play as Doctor Doom. This is why many people including myself don't follow the current MCU anymore. Disney's choices and management with the MCU shows how corporate they are, they think profit gaining is more important than the best written story that the people would want to feel immersed in. Disney doesn't respect the original legacy of the Avengers. All this will cause people to walk away from the MCU's current state hurting Disney's business.
@@NightDefender1765 I wish they’d realize that writing the best story and profits actually go hand in hand! And yeah, Kang was awesome in Earth’s Mightiest Heroes!

@@Fantagonistic The "young avengers" having a 6 or 7 time-skip IS crazy but makes sense. -- Kate being in her prime and a mentor\leader could be fun. Like Robin in Teen Titans.
The Ant-man movie had a great chance to kill off the older antman and wasp, and setup Kang better if he won. I personally would’ve made MODAK the main villain of the movie, in like how Ronan was in Guardians of the Galaxy, and have Kang still be someone he is sided with. 😭 They were both handled terribly, especially MODAK, even in the aven-🤢gers🤮 game.
I totally jumped the gun, cause I thought it was gonna be how the Young Avengers ruined the MCU, but as a HUGE fan of the comics (Billy and Teddy share #1 fav Marvel character spot), I'm glad others see how badly they've been added. The fact they've missed multiple projects to introduce Hulkling, partially cause they fucked up his dad/mom's lore so egregiously, and made Peter Parker more of a qualifier than Kate Bishop cause it's taking FOREVER. It shouldn't be this difficult...
I respect this opinion. I disagree and think it's a bit bleak and pessimistic. Also, Agatha all along was one of the biggest shows this year with Billy's gay ass being a new fav and a great re-introduction to the character. Which is why they have been rumored to be giving him his own series as opposed to just tacking on his plot to Vision Quest .Riri was a great add to Black Panther and regardless of why anyone went to see it, they saw it and it was good so people will definitely be watching Iron heart. Also the actress who plays her brings such a real, fun energy to her I can't see her not being a huge hit.
I was theorizing/hoping that Skaar wasn't actually Skaar. Like I thought Bruce's "trip to space" in She-Hulk was going to be him being tasked with protecting Teddy/Hulkling, and having Hulkling shapeshift to look like a theoretical Skaar as a cover story. Would that have been a great plan? No. Would it be a better plan than actually having and introducing Skaar? Yes.
Honestly? I think the best Young Avenger characters there are is Kate Bishop and Wiccan/Billy. Buts that's kinda it tbh. Which sucks Because I'm actually a huge Young Avengers fan😅
I really like Kamala and her comics, but I think it would just be better if the MCU focused on new groups like the inhumans or fantastic four after all the mishaps with kang/young avengers. Anything avenger-related is just gonna be forgettable, even for the nerds.
finally a comic fan of the young avengers speaks up here! the young avengers are why i read comics today. back then i would have been so happy to see em on screen but as years went by the mcu kept butchering their characters so i was ok with never seeing em in the mcu.....unfortunately that didnt happen. and so far it's been bad not just introducing wise but as in characters. they don't feel like their comic counterpart and ive seen new fans but what im scared is of the synergy bs they might do.
Dropping kang was so dumb. Just recast him. Because now kang just vanishes without a trace from the mcu. And knowing how little disney actually tried to make good marvel movies since No way home, they would just take a massive success as, "oh, we can just throw the fans garbage and they'll still eat it." It's honestly baffling to me how many mcu fans still think the mcu will be or is good after a single good movie made by a director who actually gives a shit about their work and not directors and writers who had one good project and are given the rains over a multi-million dollar movie because it's cheaper to pay a rookie than a professional. People really need to stop expecting gold from disney. It's all just spray painted dirt at this point.
They should make young avengers animated series with the same cast and the story set in main universe (MCU) yk just like jame gunn creatures commandos. Animation will work better these days.
This is very sad for a comic book collector or salesman I remember selling this book ( young Avengers #1)at its valued price at a $100 now the book is only worth $50, all because of the information in this video, the MCU just doesn’t care about the fans or anyone

Or whether they will actually cut him out and replace him with Skaar and Eddie, because they won't have the balls to show Billy and Teddy's relationship on the big screen in a way that won't allow them to cut it for the Chinese market
Ant man should have died in his 3rd movie which would have lead to Cassie talking to everyone about how much of a threat Kang is. Only if that move was serious. Idk what’s going with the mcu rn. Tbh I just want street level shit now.

I agree. I still really want the young averagers movie, but it's taking too long. I'm still excited for the team and will watch it when it does come out
1) "people will remember" not they not, they are like 20 shows and people only remembers Loki and Deadpool 2) you forgot to mention that not even Marvel knows what to do with their characters, they tease Amadeus Cho by teasing her mother and a deleted scene from Hulk in Avengers Endgame. Then nothing, move to She Hulk has replace and drop Skaar, then nothing. They are absolute drop Hulkling and do nothing about that character like they did with the rest of Hulks xD
I honestly had already forget Patriot or Hulk's son existed already on the universe. Marvel needs to stop introducing characters in one second of a series nobody is seeing.
I have a strong feeling, it might still be possible, for the YOUNG AVENGERS team to be introduced, and later hopefully a (YOUNG AVENGERS) movie could get made.
Yeah, all the blame can’t be passed onto Marvel for this due to the pandemic delaying plans and production on most projects. And things like the writers strike on top of that didn’t help.
I'm most excited for Cassie Lang and Kate Bishop. I did completely forget about most of the others, other than Ms Marvel and Ironheart. EDIT: I'd say I'm between 'casual' and 'hardcore'. I don't read the comics, but I've tried to stay up to date with the shows.
And if we do get the champions i think the first 6 should be ms. Marvel, kate bishop, iron heart, America cheves, wiccan and either iron lad or patriot depending on the main villain
I'm worried that they'll turn Skar in to the Hulkling, if we look at his design from the She-Hulk show he looks more like Hulking than a green Conan the Barbarian
They just need to make a series about the west coast avengers. The avengers officially franchise and place hawkeye in California as mentor to a bunch of new recruits. It could have a ghostbusters tone where some action occurs, but the real meat of it is about the new recruits talking shit about each other and going through beuracracy. Maybe even incorporate that avengers land in california adventure.
I always wanted it to be a young avengers series anyways so this is a win but my fear is that they don’t use the young avengers line up. I do NOT want to see Ms marvel again or America Chavez because America is to overpowered. Patriot, hulking, Kate bishop, Cassie lang, Wiccan and speed are the perfect options and if they don’t want to do iron lad, they can bring back that kid from iron man 3
But yeah ofcourse they screw it up now ms marvel is building a random team of Kate bishop and will most likely recruit Billy which I don’t mind, as long as his twin brother is part of it. Patriot will have to be apart. I don’t know about hulking cause they had 3 projects to introduce him and said no. Cassie will be there for sure as well
At this point they should just wait a little longer with the Young Avengers and then try the whole thing with Miles Morales, Vison's daughter, Nova and a few other heroes. Maybe even Squirrel Girl idk.
To be fair when you write this all on paper it sounds like a 1 Billion dollar movie/ show set up. If Marvel/ Disney followed through even despite the Kang Mess they can still use the characters they’ve built up for a side story or future arc Use Kate Bishop, Skaar, Patriot, Being back Wanda’s kids and use Cassie lang and you’ve already got your Young Avengers to face off with what ever threat you have building up
The only possible way to salvage the young avengers is to like… Quickly assemble the next avengers. The ones who fight doom with the fantastic 4. Shang chi, captain marvel, thor, star lord, shuri, namor(?), antman, bucky, falcon, and doctor strange. They fight doom, but they’re severely outmatched. They all get wiped. Either temporarily killed or placed in hell or sent to a banishment dimension. Movie over. Heroes lose. And then, in the future, America Chavez meets a no-longer dead Wanda. They almost fight again, but Wanda explains that she is America’s only chance to stop Doom. With the power of the darkhold and America’s multiverse travel, they can find an alternate universe nearly identical to theirs, but before Doom arrives. Wanda goes to break the Avengers out of their banishment, and America recruits her friends to become the young avengers.
The problem is unlike dc with shows like superman and Lois that their sons struggled with having powers and had to learn and train and fail to eventually become somehow better but still never be able to reach their fathers strength, marvel did exact opposite.somehow the kids are strong af in like one second into the movie without a proper background
You forgot Kid Loki... And I read somewhere that James Gunn was planning on integrating Nova back in Vol. 1 and 2 but he just didn't want too much human/humanoid characters in tge roster. However Thanos razed Xandar so we might get the younger Nova
They haven’t ruined it yet imo, that’s a big overreaction. But they need to hurry up and announce the project already, as it’s already taking too long. Hopefully Vision Quest introduces Viv Vision, and potentially Speed, so we can at least have two members of the comic Champions on the team. I like the team so far, they js need to flesh out their personalities, which I think Viv, Speed, and Patriot will help with.
While I am not a fan of young actors in general, I do not think the actors themselves are to blame but the writers. Maybe it's the time constraints, studio interference, or just a lack of creativity but whatever is the reason the MCU, like many franchises, suffer from poor writing. Because they all have 2 to 3 very strong ideas, but then are challenged to interweave 30 characters into a larger story, which is EXTREMELY hard to do. This is why the better franchises in such instances are based off of a book series. This way, all thr characters are already intertwined and the blueprints to establish the world and the characters are already there. And in these cases, the only way you can mess things up is if you ignore the blueprints. You could technically make the story up as you go (e.g., the original Star Wars trilogy) but that only works with a small cast of main characters. If you plan to make any fictional universe and you need a whole ensemble then you better have a roadmap that has been pre-established (e.g., the first half of Battlestar Galactica).
Are any of these new heroes still salvageable to be big characters in the MCU? Or is it too little, too late?
There are some things that I would change but I don't think they're ruined I think they are a salvageable. It just takes good writing. Although, you make great points

@@CassandraElixia20 Building up their stories and giving them arcs is so important.
That's true. Most of them are side characters, literal Mcguffins, or just too unlikeable to have a solo movie built upon. The only thing came close is Hailey from Hawkeye series, and even then she is already approaching the age where she should be in the adult Avengers group instead
Kamala DID have her journey and she is great. Billy too, lol
The characters in New Avengers just aren’t appealing, and Marvel has done a poor job of making us care about them. Instead of introducing unfamiliar faces, they should focus on continuing with the beloved characters we already know and love.
I feel like they are gonna try to roll some of these characters into a “West Coast Avengers” movie, following after Secret Wars and Vision Quest.

Probably helps that her series is fairly grounded and safe
It honestly would be pretty fucking ironic if the young avengers getting one shoted by Doom during avengers doomsday.
I'd be okay with that. Anything to get Chavez off of Strange's coattails
Isn't it crazy that to casual audiences that don't watch the shows and because of the new direction of the mcu, Kang is a one-off Antman villain
Wiccan’s may have potential
Trying to combine the YA with the Champions was the principle blunder to me.
@agrimrana9518 skipping Carol's Ms. Marvel era was a misfire to me.

@@Fantagonistic Looking at what Marvel did with the Skrulls and Kree, Secret Invasion (even the post-credits scene was the perfect place to introduce Teddy - the Skrulls are talking about some prophecy about peace, and the camera shows our blond guy or something similar, Fury could have mentioned a prince hidden on Earth, whatever), I'm afraid of what Marvel will do with him. Or whether they will actually cut him out and replace him with Skaar and Eddie, because they won't have the balls to show Billy and Teddy's relationship on the big screen in a way that won't allow them to cut it for the Chinese market
First young avengers movie should have been secret invasion and have them struggle with thier mentors being skrulls
Ant man should have died in his 3rd movie which would have lead to Cassie talking to everyone about how much of a threat Kang is. Only if that move was serious. Idk what’s going with the mcu rn. Tbh I just want street level shit now.
I feel bad that Mrs marvel has been in such bad things, the actor they used for her is the best of both of those things, she’s funny and she does the best acting from half of the actors
@@EmeraldKing6987 Agreed.
Yeah she is good but the story is weird
At this point, I think if they just did a Scarlet Witch movie based on the Children's Crusade comic and then gave us Wiccan and Hulkling's relationship in some other movie, that would be plenty of Young Avengers for me. I love the comic series, but I just don't see the need for all of that in the MCU at this point, beyond Wanda's story.
I agree. I still really want the young averagers movie, but it's taking too long. I'm still excited for the team and will watch it when it does come out
Good vid!
@@drakegrandx5914 Thanks!
ME PERSONALLY
just needa see more Kate Bishop
Hollywood isn't into these older Avengers, only when they were younger.
Iron lad was always my favorite Young Avenger
1) "people will remember" not they not, they are like 20 shows and people only remembers Loki and Deadpool
2) you forgot to mention that not even Marvel knows what to do with their characters, they tease Amadeus Cho by teasing her mother and a deleted scene from Hulk in Avengers Endgame.
I am not a nerd but what about the kid from Thor love and thunder?
I have a strong feeling, it might still be possible, for the YOUNG AVENGERS team to be introduced, and later hopefully a (YOUNG AVENGERS) movie could get made.
You also gotta remember that the release order of phase 4 was completely screwed up by the pandemic so a bunch stuff was out of order.
Yeah, all the blame can’t be passed onto Marvel for this due to the pandemic delaying plans and production on most projects. And things like the writers strike on top of that didn’t help.
And COVID 19
@@NOAHandmycreations Bro that’s what I said.
Oh you said pandemic I thought u said government opps😅 and I'm thinking of a story and how to make the champions bring mcu back to live
And in season 2 and if season 2 villain is kang then use patriot, stinger and skar
I'm worried that they'll turn Skar in to the Hulkling, if we look at his design from the She-Hulk show he looks more like Hulking than a green Conan the Barbarian
@@Ali-xx9iz I think that was their plan, just merge the two characters. Hopefully they’ll change their minds.
They sould make a New Warriors movie first.
I'd rather see Titans first.
I ADORE the original New Warriors
That scare reveal was so werid like oh yeah this is my son that i never talked about and was never shownee un the movie but like he totally existed
why are they allergic to recasting ppl like there’s no reason kang as a character has to be gone just bc they don’t want the actor
Apparently they had a contract where they can’t recast him
I always wanted it to be a young avengers series anyways so this is a win but my fear is that they don’t use the young avengers line up.
Cassie will be there for sure as well
Looking forward to the possibly maybe Iron Lad video you're likely not working on. 😂
All I know is that Marvel needs to do something or I feel execs will kill it.
@@Multi1 They may reboot the whole thing sadly.
If Marvel/ Disney followed through even despite the Kang Mess they can still use the characters they’ve built up for a side story or future arc
Use Kate Bishop, Skaar, Patriot, Being back Wanda’s kids and use Cassie lang and you’ve already got your Young Avengers to face off with what ever threat you have building up
The only possible way to salvage the young avengers is to like…
Quickly assemble the next avengers.
Skaar existing in the MCU but not Hulking (at least so far) is infuriating!
0:33 they did this dirty, she should've been in quantumania
That iron lad story sounded nice. They freaking ruined it, didn't they?!
@@kinman3051 Yep. Bummer.
The characters aren't going to be young enough by the time young avengers actually comes out
You forgot kid Loki whose still in the void
They haven’t ruined it yet imo, that’s a big overreaction. But they need to hurry up and announce the project already, as it’s already taking too long. Hopefully Vision Quest introduces Viv Vision, and potentially Speed, so we can at least have two members of the comic Champions on the team. I like the team so far, they js need to flesh out their personalities, which I think Viv, Speed, and Patriot will help with.
I agree. They’ve only had at least one appearance so far and not a lot to show for it. Hopefully they’re given that time to flesh out.
They should have released it like yesterday.
We have to give it a Chance
Agree never judged without watching it
In my mind the Only Young Avengers are from the Animated Film
Here's how I feel: scrap this, since nobody really wants it. Focus on Blade, Midnight Suns, FF and Doctor Doom.
