I have a rotary parlor and milk 2300 3 times per 24 hours. When the new parlor was built I put in a Multiquip 640kw Komatsu diesel generator. It has saved us numerous times. Works so well we will go off grid every 60 days and milk with the generator for a few hours to keep it limbered up. Also it wasn’t cheap at around $250k US so I feel the need to run it some lol. Keep up the good work.
Congrats on 2k subs! How many acres do ye have and how many milking cows would ye have at peak time and how many replacements would ye keep back

Nice looking farm and parlor, power has going out during milking sucks we have pto driven generator for that , we have lost power for a week before

I don’t know putting up and talking down milk miters can be a pain.

Was your last parlour in same location, how many units was it? I have packo tank that beeps when power goes or any other problem which is handy.
Martin O Neill yes it’s was in the very same location, we completely demolished it and built the parlour, it was a 6 a time pipeline system in a 12 cow byre
I have a six unit but can only fit 5 cows in a row. They must have had small cows back in the day lol, or I should get into jersey to get the 6.

Wayne Blake yes off course but we don’t get enough of power cuts to warrant purchasing one, now if it was a regular occurrence I’d probably if a pro driven generator.

Dont scrap slats at all and dont see a problem. Different strokes for different folks I suppose. Clean and bed cubicles twice a day. Wats ur reason for scraping slats
You should buy a tractor generator. Some morning our day you come out to milk and there's a power cut all you have to do put on tractor and you can milk

Why not use the pto generator
random video guy that only happens ever 2 or 3 years and it’s always comes back now within a few hours so it would be worth the expense of fitting a generator.
@@IFarmWeFarm so u have no back up power supply if the power on the farm goes
random video guy no thankfully we’ve never needed it, we can always hire one if it’s an emergency or I have friends that would lend me there’s so there’s no problem
