4 year carnivore here. I came from the diet you recommend, yet I was pre diabetic, had gum disease, IBS, arthritis, dangerously high BP and more. Since eliminating grains, fruit (apart from wild berries) and veggies, and eating considerably more saturated fat, I have cured all my issues, and in the best health (backed up with blood tests) and with the best body of my life. Sorry gents, your profession is based on keeping people drugged and sick, your advice is worthless.

Everyone has a right to their opinions, but might want to do some REAL research!! I'm 71 and thanks to carnivore I am better than ever! Lost weight to 123, have overcome fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, type 2 diabetes, 5 spinal fusions, high blood pressure, plus anxiety and depression!! My doctor is rapidly lowering or stopping a lot of my meds!! Like metphormin, metoprolol, gabapentin, mobic. I had to go on disability at age 50, but now feel better than I have in years!! Off my walker, and only occasionally using my cane!! Don't knock this way of eating and the doctors who are helping SO MANY PEOPLE, until you give it a try!! What are you afraid of?? 😂🤗🙏🙏

It appears these ‘doctors’ have had ZERO nutritional training whatsoever…
Telling my N=1 story to help get the message out there:
During the extreme lockdown here in the Philippines, January 2021 I was obese type 2 with pre-diabetes and high blood pressure. I was suffering from metabolic syndrome. I understood the comorbidity I had as a 58 year old would greatly affect me if I contracted the Rona. I had to lose fat, reverse hypertension, reverse my NAFLD and reduce my HbA1c.
Sitting in my armchair at the beginning of lockdown I saw that the keto/ketovore/carnivore diet claimed it could ‘cure’ my ailments. I watched a bunch of videos and tried to make sense of the linked papers supporting the claims. End result was that it simply made a lot of sense to me.
8 months later, whilst still sitting in my armchair (most of the time). I had lost the 30kg/66lbs of fat that was required to get me down to a ‘normal’ BMI, I GREATLY improved my blood pressure to the point it raised my wife’s eyebrows, she’s a First Responder. My blood sugar was well back in to the ‘normal’ range and I vastly reduced inflammation.
I also reversed IBS that had controlled my life for 40 years (I lost jobs because of it), got rid of decades long debilitating heartburn, my Testosterone went up drastically and I stopped snoring … my wife is happy 🤓 I was ‘foggy’ & forgetful, possible early stage MCI, I sometimes also slurred my words and forgot what I was talking about mid sentence, this has completely reversed! Undiagnosed but recognised by my family I got out of a bad case of lockdown depression.
A few months ago I further decided to cut out most vegetables from my meat heavy Keto WOE, only adding on occasion a little onion, garlic, green peppers and tomato for some flavour… always salting to taste. Improvements are continuing with a pace with better mental health, blood markers, skin condition etc.
Simply eating nutrient dense meat, HEAVY in animal fat, eggs, seafood, salmon … single ingredient real food is all it took …
Whilst cutting out processed food, sugar/carbohydrates and seed/‘vegetable’ oils and most dairy.
We THRIVE when eating our evolved, species specific Proper Human Diet along with some intermittent fasting to mimic the way our ancestors survived.
I’m sure there are thousands upon thousands of people that have similar anecdotal stories to tell … Please tell them … get the message out there!

3 years, 👍🏼 Bravo! And no exercise, time to start to build or keep muscle, unless you are young but it is still recommended. Also 20 min walks in the sunlight. Getting that heart pumping faster, will help to make the heart muscle stronger and healthier. Don’t forget chicken and pork and avocados for potassium and stay hydrated ( also other supplements that keep you hydrated) , red meat lacks enough potassium and we need 4700 mg per day and I doubt 10% of the total population meets that requirement.

@@jisyang8781 My dearest relative did not overeat. He had a thyroid issue and speaking as someone of average (not fat nor thin), but with a thyroid issue myself, let me just say that most people with thyroid work out more consistently, eat sensibly than most people. Most people without thyroid issues neglect to realize it is a real thing and is often undiagnosed. People with thyroid (whether hypo or hyper) take endocrinologist ordered medication, do blood work and lab tests and frequently have to readjust levels over their lifetime. And sometimes people with hypothyroid eat virtually nothing and work out and gain just as people with hyperthyroid eat like crazy and might lose to dangerous levels. And we wish that our thyroid gland was like the average individual who could just choose fad diets and lose (or gain). After years of being both hypo and hyper (thanks to the wrong dosage of medication which is also not fun), I do not mess with any silly fad diet and just eat healthfully as my mother did and in moderation. Also FYI tragic loss (which I recently had) or even overstimulation can kick the thyroid from low to high. Contrary to what the average person may think, neither is great as you realize you are not in control of how your body responds. To just be of average weight after working out as a paid dancer and singer for years is a relief. Frankly, I believe people should listen to their doctors and their bodies and not the latest fad that runs down the pike.

You are correct we can get all the vitamins and minerals our bodies need from eating all meat when you include the liver and heart. When we are not running off pure carbs and sugar, our body requires far less vitamins like vitamin C! Not to mention... for carb and sugar eaters, their bodies are unable to absorb Vitamin C as well, no matter how much chomping they do on vegetables and fruit.

@@ribeyemanster You can't with certainty but we do know from many studies that elevated cholesterol is not healthy in the long term. We also know that elevated animal based protein strongly stimulates IGF-1/leptin which is linked to cancer. We also know that animal based does not supply various plant phyto-nutrients and other anti cancer compounds. Cooking meat (which most people do) destroys the enzyme complement critical for proper digestion and creates a variety of toxic/cancer causing compounds. As well, with a lack of fiber the critical microbiome will suffer creating leaky gut which can promote autoimmune and immune dysfunction issues. Good studies need to be done between a junk food diet, raw/organic plant based and animal based to get a full picture but based on what we do know so far about large consumption of animal products I suspect this is not the way to go long term.

6:46 Studies. There are *ZERO* randomized controlled interventional long term studies of *ANY* diet as regards long term health outcomes! They cannot be done! They would require test subjects to be in metabolic lock-down from birth to death under constant supervision. They are not ethical and would be far too expensive (not to mention you couldn't get subjects to agree to that). What we are left with are retrospective and prospective cohort studies which rely on food frequency questionnaires, are associative by their very nature, are muddied by numerous confounders, and the results are buried in the signal to noise ratio.

You don't necessarily go daily, because you absorb more food (less waste)
Also glucose and vitC use the same receptors. Without glucose in the body, the same receptors for vitamin C won’t have to fight off glucose from the bloodstream in order to nourish the rest of the body. You get small amounts of vitC in fresh meat and organs .. enough for the body to use. You don't see scurvy in modern carnivores (Sailors who got scurvy ate hardtack, grog and preserved meat )

Factor in how many children and mothers died during child birth or how many broke a leg or cut themselves and died. Think how many times you would have died wirhout modern medicine?
Meanwhile you dont have to wear scrubs to look at the data we have. As plant matter consumption has gone up so has the rates of diabetes, cancer and heart diease. The average American has a diet that is over 70% plant based and they are sicker than ever.
You also made the fallacy of assuming that because food was scarce our ancestors didn't eat optimally. You could as easyisly assume when food was scarce or they failed at a hunt they became foragers and ate plant matter out of necessity to survive. And given most people would naturally pick a steak over and handful of leafy veg it seems more likely to me. You said it yourself. You had to force your kids to eat veg cos they naturally dont want to. You put beef or chicken in front of a child and they will yum it up.
Finally id say this idea of "balanced" is nonsense. They is nothing inherently good about a balanced diet, I believe it was a marketing slogan. You need to eat a species appropriate diet. A cow doesnt have a balanced diet.
Over 84% of vegans quit. 90% of those cite catestrophic health failure. Meanwhile your comments section below is overflowing with peoole who have come off all meds and healed themselves on carnivore. As for vitamin C there is some in muscle meat but unless you are eating it raw it typically would be broken down with the heat of cooking because it's water soluble. Organ meat is a better choice for that reason.
Regardless of how inconvenient it is, decades of scientific research that is peer reviewed and published shows saturated fat tied to heart disease and cancer.

@@TalkingWithDocs I can provide as much data as you did in the video. A lot of what a state were just counter statements. That's the point. Just throwing out words like "may do" or "could cause" isn't useful either way.
But there are plenty of studies on cholesterol and sat fat now. There was another recently from RCSI. Plenty have come out of Australian academia recently if you care to research. Statins do not increase your life expectancy. Where are the wards of heart patients on carnivore diet?
The vitamin c statement is a fact, meat does contain it. It's found in meat and we don't require very much, as a carnivore diet is high in hydroxyproline and hydroxylysine. It's also demonstrable that there isn't an epidemic of scurvy amongst the carnivore community . You made the claim that the carnivore diet causes it so the burden is on you to provide evidence, which again you didn't.
The vegan stats come from the humane research council. Even so you're asking people to discount reality. I look online at vegan influencers and they almost all look Ill weak and aged and I'm not sure I've seen a vegan with healthy skin.
I look at carnivore and they almost all look younger than their age, healthy and strong.
Perhaps not scientific but if youre going to tell people to ignore all that observable evidence you need to come with some hard scientific facts, not "maybes" and "could bes".
If you want more studies on the negative effects of plant based diet dr mason can provide. There have been zero controlled studies to show the benefit of a plant based diet...in fact it's impossible to do so, both for plant and meat based.
I don't know if you two lads are nutritionists or your doctorate is in the field of nutrition but it does not sound like it. A study by Ogilvie et al. (2022) found that vegetarians, vegans, and others who eschew meat "show a lower bone mineral density," and "vegans consistently have higher risk of fracture at multiple bone sites, especially at the hip."
A study by Simeone et al. (2022) looking at infants between 4-18 months of age on a macrobiotic diet free of animal protein found a "significantly higher risk [...] of skin and muscle wasting in 30% of macrobiotic infants compared with 2% of the controls" as well as "a higher prevalence of children with inadequate growth [...] with insufficient energy and long-term nutrient intake, or classified as wasted, with severe malnutrition," observed in nearly 8% of vegetarian/vegan children compared to only 0.6% of omnivorous children.
Perhaps equally shocking, it was found that "babies in the macrobiotic diet group reached independent walking on average 3 months later" than omnivorous diet babies (Dagnelie et al. 1994).
After researching and analyzing multiple different studies, Simeone et al. (2022) quite definitively concludes:

"...the case reports are all consistent in demonstrating severe neurological outcomes and growth deficits in children on a vegan diet, due to low vitamin B12 and vitamin D levels, with anemia, stunting, brain abnormalities and demyelination. The children with vitamin B12 deficiency all had psychomotor developmental deficits or neurological symptoms, some even anemia. In one case, in addition to psychomotor regression, four bone fractures were found due to nutritional rickets. The reason was prolonged breastfeeding from a vegetarian mother followed by a vegan diet for the infant after weaning. [...] in diets without meat, fish and meat products, the most critically deficient nutrient is vitamin B12, but deficiencies in calcium, iron, iodine, zinc, and selenium, essential amino acids, ω-3 LC-PUFAs (EPA and DHA) and vitamins (riboflavin, vitamin D) may also occur. […] Finally, although vegetarian diets are often recommended as a prevention tool for overweight and obesity, […] the meta-analysis of the results found no protective effect of vegetarian diets in the early years of life."
A 2021 study found "recent epidemiological studies suggest that higher consumption of ultra-processed food is associated with increased risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD). […] Research ranging from laboratory-based to prospective epidemiological studies and experimental evidence suggest that ultra-processed foods may affect cardiometabolic health through a myriad of mechanisms, beyond the traditionally recognized individual nutrients. Processing induces significant changes to the food matrix, for which ultra-processed foods may affect health outcomes differently than unrefined whole foods with similar nutritional composition. Notably, the highly degraded physical structure of ultra-processed foods may affect cardiometabolic health by influencing absorption kinetics, satiety, glycemic response, and the gut microbiota composition and function. Food additives and neo-formed contaminants produced during processing may also play a role in CVD risk. Key biological pathways include altered serum lipid concentrations, modified gut microbiota and host-microbiota interactions, obesity, inflammation, oxidative stress, dysglycemia, insulin resistance, and hypertension." (Juul et al., 2021)
Lending further credibility to this link are the findings of Lee et al., (2022) which state “Processed and ultra-processed foods increased from 60% of foods” between 1800 to 2019, and that “non-communicable diseases rose over the twentieth century in parallel with increased consumption of processed foods, including sugar, refined flour and rice, and vegetable oils. Saturated fats from animal sources were inversely correlated with the prevalence of NCDs.” (Lee et al., 2022) The data suggests consumption of meat promotes health, counteracts obesity, and is correlated with far fewer diseases than carb-laden, processed plant foods.
Oxalates are an organic compound commonly found in many plants, including leafy greens, vegetables, fruits, cocoa, nuts, and seeds. Though it has beneficial functions in plants (such as binding excess calcium which would otherwise hinder sunlight absorption) the effects of oxalate in humans is a very different story.
It has been found to cause:
    Autoimmune conditions
    Thyroid conditions
    Gut Inflammation
    Kidney Stones
    Chronic Pain
    Localized Irritation
    Chronic Inflammation
    Impairment of normal functions
and a whole host of other less well-known diseases.

Maybe it shouldn't be a long term diet - but maybe it is a wonderful way to help people get to a healthier place. There are quite a few people who have been doing this for years, and seem to be very healthy.
I've been doing it for a month, and feel so much better. My husband was curious, but then said it was too restrictive. He went to his pre op appointment for an upcoming surgery and told them about his wife's crazy diet. Amazingly the doctor said it was a great diet to do before the surgery and that he wished all his patients would do it. Amazing! In just a week so much of his inflammation is gone. I don't know what your specialities are. Are you two doctors experts in nutrition, human physiology, biochemistry/biochemical pathways and bioenergetics?
If not then I will respectfully say that you are talking about a subject that's completely out of your field of expertise. You two should do much more unbiased research before influencing others considering your online reach (it is irresponsible). You clearly have a bias as your lack of knowledge about the carnivore, the keto diet and most importantly on physiology/bioenergetics is obvious. You lost me completely the moment you said "when you eat a diet that's restrictive regardless of what it is, chances are your calories are going to go down". Do you guys understand what a calorie is? That's shockingly ignorant coming from two doctors. I'm sure you are good in your respective field of expertise but you certainly missed the mark completely with that presentation.
I am asking as I DO have a level of expertise on the matter and as such cannot agree with the core of what you are saying. I just finished another debated on another channel and don't have much time right now. I'll try and get back to this another time. Suffice to say for now that real unbiased science clearly demonstrates that the carnivore or ketogenic diet is absolutely NOT restrictive and are actually among the healthiest diets you could have. Science is not a "one size fits all" concept so people should pay attention to what works best for them. For instance I know many who do better on a bit of non-starchy vegetables (e.g. sauerkraut..good source of k2) along with their carnivore/keto lifestyle (better bowel movement for example). But also note that fibre can be a problem for a huge proportion of people with IBS/IBD. Having said that, I absolutely do NOT support vegetarianism and veganisms for scientific and health reasons as they have a strong impact on insulin resistance/pre-diabetes/type2 diabetes, inflammation, hormonal imbalance (due to low consumption of healthy animal fats), autoimmune disease, fatty liver disease (including juvenile NAFL and NASH), plant toxicity (oxalates, phytates and lectins), mitochondrial damage/cancer through glycation/production of reactive oxygen species or free radicals among other things, nutritional deficiencies (DHA/EPA (only a small percentage of ALA from plants gets converted),B12, amino acid deficiencies such as methionine, lysine, leucine among others depending on what you are eating). A meat based diet is more bio available and more complete. I also suggest you brush up on your paleopathology. That's a crude summary. I can't elaborate further for now. You cannot possibly put veganism and carnivore or keto in the same "extreme and unhealthy" category. That is pure IGNORANCE. So to you two doctors I say DO BETTER.

Carnivore is the human ancestral way of eating! Since we are talking about people curing things with carnivore diet- here is my story!
So everyone knows I am 46, turn 47 soon- but look like I am in my early 30’s. I am now 122lbs and 5’7”. I have done a zero carb carnivore diet for 9 months now. Before I was saved by the carnivore diet I was 165lbs (weight would continue to creep up since I was 40 years old.) And I had so many other issues that are now cured. One was i had fibrocystic issues before carnivore. It built up over a six year period of western / SAD diet. Doctors said it was normal, nothing we can do. “Part of aging and now normal.” Nope! Then I tried the Mediterranean scam grain diet for 6 months- made things worse and even put me into peri menopause and many other issues like cysts that got to be quarter size round, so painful! Fibrocystic masses too were big! I was fed up and decided to go dig and dig to see if anything would reverse this! Found Dr. Baker, Dr. Berry, and Dr. Chaffee with carnivore diet! Then found out cruciferous veggies can ruin your thyroid and prevent natural absorption of iodine found in foods! I had eaten lean skinless chicken breast (a half of one maybe once a day), rices, and broccoli for 6 years- age 40-46 and daily! I want ladies to know they need to avoid cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, cabbage, Brussel sprouts, asparagus, and cauliflower to prevent fibrocystic breasts- but plants in general cause it! Your body needs iodine for your lady organs and all other organs, but especially your thyroid! They really mess up the thyroid which messes up your hormones and causes all other issues! One big domino affect! I ask people to go watch Dr. Chaffee with Dr. Sally Norton on plant toxins! Fibrocystic breast issues are now what doctors have settled as “normal!” I truly feel it is considered an auto immune issue / plant toxic illness of inflammation that can be reversed with carnivore! If you look the rates of fibrocystic illnesses is drastically increasing- including breast cancer- and it’s posted on line that nobody knows what causes those! They tell people not to eat saturated fats! I eat fatty meats of beef and eggs- and 8 months on carnivore no more cysts and i have only one smaller fibrocystic mass left that is super small- continues to shrink- not the large mass it once was- shrinking drastically on carnivore diet!
Carnivore diet cured so much for me!
    * No more perimenopause- completely reversed!
*Period cycles all timed perfect with 4 week intervals. And no PMS symptoms, but only the actual menstrual cycle itself!
    *No more night sweats
*No more waking every 2 hours at night!
*It used to take me 20 minutes or longer to fall asleep at night when I would first go to bed at night- before carnivore. Now it takes like a minute or less. Haven’t noticed since I am out fast!
    *No more life long eczema
    *No more cold hands
*No more cold body temp in general! Used to feel like a reptile - only warm in texas sun.
*No more IBS symptoms (gas, bloating, stomach pain, constipation, diarrhea)
*No more feeling low energy by 12pm and zombie by 4pm
*No more purple looking hands in winter
    *No more brain fog
*No more arthritis that I felt in hands, knees, and hips- or elbows
*Lost 45+ pounds from former baby weight and peri menopause weight.
*Always had 20/20 vision with slight stigmatism- but in March doctor said my stigmatism is reversing!
*Don’t sunburn as easily anymore and tan well.
*Wrinkles around eyes seem to be much less. I am 46 and look like I am in early 30’s.
*Gums look super healthy. Dentist seems irritated as my teeth are not dirty when cleaning every six months. Think they know they won’t make money off me.
*No more sore chest from monthly periods- no swelling feeling of fullness or discomfort that prevented me from sleeping on my stomach. Now I sleep every night on my stomach!
*Fibrocystic Breast issues reversing! Almost all gone after 6 years of buildup!
*no cravings unless they are for meat
*no more angina symptoms before a period- which started about 3 years ago.
*No more feeling weak like almost passing out and dizzy around ovulation and periods
    * no more fingers swelling- that started a few years ago- rings kept being tight- is pattern I noticed. One ring I had resized larger and it’s super loose now. Will have to resize smaller.
*feel stronger- now lifting barbells not just hands weights. Dr. Baker said since I am 46, and 5’7” at 122lbs- need more resistance training to add more muscle weight. . So bought a 47lb barbell off Amazon and have 40 extra pounds added to it. Will continue to progress with that.
    * i had started growing grey hairs in one of my eyebrows, few hairs at a time, but no grey in my blonde hair yet - but assumed it was coming before Carnivore. Now on carnivore I have had no new grey hairs growing in eye brows and still no grey hair in my natural blonde hair. And in the sun it gets super light highlights.
    * no more body odor!
    * I used to get a little anxiety with large crowds- like if attending special events- but since on carnivore I don’t get it that much.
*I was a bit OCD before carnivore, but so much more relaxed so barely like that.
    * I was a relaxed person before, but somehow am even more relaxed and never stress about things.
*Since I was a young child my sense of smell has been terrible. But 9 months on carnivore my sense of smell has gone crazy! I smell things even far away! Amazing!
*no more allergies! I was allergic to cedar and oak pollens- and mold- but since carnivore I am no longer reacting to those outdoor pollens which is amazing!

I know when people go on carnivore they are trying to heal something, but if they aren’t like me and notice small things- they may not notice they are healing way more than they realized- things plant foods were causing! And they need to remember, processed foods are made from plants- but so are whole foods (raw or cooked!) they are all toxic!
The carnivore diet cures! ☺️👌🏻 The body is a network made of multiple gears- and if one gets messed up it causes a whole domino affect of problems like I had! The carnivore lifestyle is not a fad, it’s the ancestral human way of eating! Go Carnivore for a few months and see how you feel! ☺️👍🏻

Glad you are doing well but most studies would contradict what you are asserting such as this metadata study from the National Institutes of Health: Plant-based diets like vegetarian or vegan diets might influence circulating levels of inflammatory biomarkers, thereby reducing the risk of chronic diseases. This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to investigate the associations of veganism and vegetarianism with circulating inflammatory biomarkers in comparison to omnivores. Literature search was conducted in Pubmed and EMBASE until April 2020 and mean differences of biomarkers were assessed for: C-reactive protein (CRP), interleukin-6 (IL-6), interleukin-18 (IL-18), interleukin-1 receptor antagonist (IL-1 RA), tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-ɑ), E-selectin, intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1), monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1), adiponectin, omentin-1 and resistin. Of initially identified 1073 publications, 21 cross-sectional studies met the inclusion criteria and were included in the systematic review and meta-analysis. Vegan diet was associated with lower levels of CRP compared to omnivores [mean difference − 0.54 mg/l, 95%-CI: − 0.79 to − 0.28, p

And this also from the NIH on animal based diets and inflammation: Diet is a major factor determining gut microbiota composition and perturbances in this complex ecosystem are associated with the inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Here, we used gnotobiotic approach to analyze, how interaction between diet rich in proteins and gut microbiota influences the sensitivity to intestinal inflammation in murine model of ulcerative colitis. We found that diet rich in animal protein (aHPD) exacerbates acute dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced colitis while diet rich in plant protein (pHPD) does not. The deleterious effect of aHPD was also apparent in chronic DSS colitis and was associated with distinct changes in gut bacteria and fungi. Therefore, we induced acute DSS-colitis in germ-free mice and transferred gut microbiota from aCD or aHPD fed mice to find that this effect requires presence of microbes and aHPD at the same time. The aHPD did not change the number of regulatory T cells or Th17 cells and still worsened the colitis in immuno-deficient RAG2 knock-out mice suggesting that this effect was not dependent on adaptive immunity. The pro-inflammatory effect of aHPD was, however, abrogated when splenic macrophages were depleted with clodronate liposomes. This treatment prevented aHPD induced increase in colonic Ly-6Chigh pro-inflammatory monocytes, but the ratio of resident Ly-6C−/low macrophages was not changed. These data show that the interactions between dietary protein of animal origin and gut microbiota increase sensitivity to intestinal inflammation by promoting pro-inflammatory response of monocytes.

Also from the NIH on breast cancer and cruciferous vegetables: In summary, the current study suggests that cruciferous vegetable intake is associated with reduced breast cancer risk, in particular with broccoli and cauliflower intakes. The inverse association of cruciferous vegetable consumption with breast cancer risk seems to be more apparent in premenopausal women. Biologically, dietary ITCs obtained from cruciferous vegetables have been shown to modulate estrogen metabolism, which may, at least partly, explain the differential effect of cruciferous vegetable intake on pre- and postmenopausal women, although other mechanisms may apply. These data also indicate the successful impact of public health efforts on encouraging vegetable consumption, which may change consumption patterns and modify the results of association studies on vegetables and disease.

It is a good way to go to deal with some big issues like inflammation due to allergies and also high blood sugar levels. Once some stability is found, one should SLOWLY reintroduce certain foods at a time, after weighing the benefits of that food. Inflammatory grains like white rice (high sugars) or buckwheat (high oxalates), might never be the best to reintroduce, due to the negative effects outweighing the positive. Individual fruits and vegetables should be looked at in the same way.

I respectfully disagree. First of all, as you must know, our digestive system is set up for both plants and animal flesh. We metabolize heme protein far more efficiently than plant protein; both of which are broken down into the amino acids to be re-assembled as human protein. You know this. So, why are you're saying something that's blatantly wrong? After recovering from serious drug/alcohol addiction, I regained my strength and endurance by a 90% heme diet. I eat about 6-7 lbs of red meat a week, as well as two dozen eggs a week, excellent meat from distributors that sell meat with no extras pumped into it. I do not eat meat from the supermarket that has red food coloring in it as well as growth hormones, etc. That's crap. Yeah, I pay about 15 bucks a pound for my meats. I spend a lot of money on meat. I'm almost 70, and I am now in peak shape. I work out at the gym every day working on different muscle groups. It's about a 4000 calorie a day diet. No, meat is good for me. I will not give that up, good sirs! I am NOT like most men my age who have just thrown in the towel on serious fitness. I am very fit. I no longer have high blood pressure. I threw my BP meds away two years ago. I won't even say anything to the Joaquin Phoenix crowd who say it's tantamount to murder being a carnivore. Your body clearly retro- converts vitamin k2 to vitamin k1, phytonutrients? If you are consuming cows that graze on grass their entire lives, the muscle meat by itself has sufficient amounts of phytonutrients, calcium? You can simply consume bone broth or even egg shells, and even then calcium isn't an issue on a 100% carnivore diet. If people can make negative claims based off of opinion, I can do the same. HE IMMEDIATELY WENT ON OZEMPIC AND IS “ eating less” . I tried to encourage him to try KETO, BUT HIS DOCTOR TOLD HIM ITS JUST A FAD DIET. HE WOUKD RATHER TAKE A NEW DRUG AND EAT LESS. I GUARANTEE HE WILL NOT REVERSE HIS DIABETES.
BTW, KETO IS BASICALLY ATKINS ANDTHAT HAS BEEN AROUND FOR MANY YEARS. , HARDLY A FAD,
AGAIN, THANKS FOR RESPONDING TO MY COMMENT. TAKE CARE. IM SURE YOU ARE GOOD DOCTORS.

Ha! yes, I remember Mutual of Omaha. I felt bad for "Jim", because no matter where they were, the old guy would go 'We're going to send in Jim..." - the lion's pride, the bear den... etc. Very good point about the diets though - everyone _is_ passionate about extreme diets. I have found you can try to caution people, but most of the time they have to learn the hard way by trying it.

Of course, Jim Fowler got the last laugh (if you care to look at it that way) - he took over as host of the show, and passed away quite recently (2019, IIRC).

I eat a plant based diet. When a friend of mine told me that I needed to eat meat or I would grow weak and unmuscular. I told him to tell that to the next gorilla or Holstein bull he met.

But what about the Inuit or First Nations people who live in colder climates and predominately eat animal based diets? They don't have a lot of dietary options to supplement for micro-nutrient shortcomings. So it can be done, right?

@@TalkingWithDocs But do they have the issues that the studies you mentioned claim they should have in much higher rates than other human populations? that would be much more persuasive. its not enough to say they are unhealthy as there are many reason why they could be that have nothing to do with meat.

Certified brain fog from eating a carnivore diet Ken Berry in his book on page 103 he says nuts and seeds are very healthy, the nutrients and fiber are great. Page 187 says I eat many servings of colorful veggies everyday. Page 192 says there are many days each week I eat no fiber at all. Page 205 says I often go days without eating anything but fatty meat. There are no references in the book to any study because he never read any studies he just says whatever he wants.

Its not just saturated fat that causes high ldl. If you are deficient in saturated fat and lower it even more, makes sense it will hurt your liver and ldl will increase
