I think you are doing a great job. Even though I already know how to use the podcast app, you cleared up quite a bit for me. One thing more I’d like to know is how not to have the episodes removed after listening, as I often fall asleep during a show and want to listen again, or I want to play a great episode to a friend.
I really love online magazines that read short stories to me. I particularly LOVE the Classic Tales Podcast. That reader is amazing. Or anything, Science Fiction!

I am a huge nerd, but have resisted Apple podcasts. I finally decided to switch due to Watch functionality and this was very helpful! Would be nice to do a "follow up" that digs into auto-deleting episodes, etc. but this got me started nicely.

Hi man, thanks for the lesson. I’m tech savvy and this app is so unpleasant to use. However since we are stuck with it, I’m hear to master it. One annoying feature is that it jumps to unfinished podcast which led I’ve skipped for a reason and don’t want to go back to. Often I cannot easily navigate back to where I was. Additionally, the library doesn’t show me all my subscribed shows, as I was deleting them more were appearing. So confusing.

I'm new to podcasts and the podcast app and went to TH-cam to find a how to and arrived at your video. Thanks, very helpful.
Couple questions about downloading: If you've subscribed to a podcast does each new episode automatically download to your iphone? Or do you have to manually touch the cloud icon each time to download an episode? Or is there an option to set this up automatically?
(I've listened to podcasts so far only by streaming and do this mainly when I'm running local mountain trails after work for exercise and often go in and out of cell phone LTE service and they stop -- so I'm very interested in downloading them first.)

I just want to know how to play the entire backlog of a channel in order. There are some great channels that are a series that you have to listen to from the beginning in the order they were released.

Is there a way to set it up so that when you add something to a queue it automatically gets downloaded, or are downloading and queuing two different actions? 2. How can I listen to all episodes in chronological order? Listening to the most recent episode doesn’t make sense if the podcast is a story series. I want to start at the beginning
Click the [ … ] three dots and of that specific podcast channel, settings, and choose the option to play in sequential order.

I have trouble with one Podcast not turning off when I want to go to another podcast. I can pause it, but not turn it off. Do you have a suggestion? It only happens on my favorite podcast. Thanks and I enjoy this podcast and learned a couple new tricks.

Where are the settings for the Apple podcast app
Podcasts I have notifications for 4 shows but only receive the notification for one show how do you rectify it to where podcasts are notified.?

My favorite is Bryan Lorrits
Definitely learned a couple things. I find the podcast app poorly deficient in handling some of the simplest functions. For example the 3 dots and the trash can function. So I have built up way more podcasts than I care to listen to or have time for. I press the trash can. Delete from library. But the title does not clear. My experience then is to scroll bar through the entire episode to get it “gone”. And god forbid I press the share button. Who the heck did they put that thing in there for. Yeah I know, I sound a little upset. But you have no idea how many times I have just decided to flush the app and go listen to some music or maybe nothing at all. And when I return, the old podcasts requested themselves “thinking I need to listen to them again”. Hopefully you’re doing a podcast on the youtube app. I’ll check. Because it also seems to be optimized for unusual functions while either disguising or being poorly designed to handle basic things like backup 15 seconds and show me the URL. Etc.
What do you recommend for listening to podcasts, do you recommend listening to the oldest episode first I’m going to the newest or vice versa. I’m guessing it’s personal preference play never know what would be the best way to do it

When a podcast ends, it jumps to another show altogether. I have all the settings correct. I want the specific show to continue playing and not start playing show y after show w just finished playing. Make sense?

What do you if you want to listen to a older podcast that’s not updating new episodes anymore? Do you have to manually add the episodes you want? That’s kind of annoying, if you haven’t listened before they should just show up in your feed automatically. Maybe they’ll fix it In iOS 13.

This was helpful if you want to download podcasts, but I have very little storage space. The place I listen to them has WiFi so I can just play them without downloading them. I want to create a lineup of that will play in order (up next) but without downloading them and storing them in the library. How do I do this?

Nice video. Question for you: how do I search and find an specific episode within a podcast? Example: I want to look up the episode named “colors” within Radiolabs channel. I’m coming from android Castbox which does this pretty well.
Use the search feature but search “your library”. You’ll need to subscribe to the podcast first
