This was beyond one of the best tutorials I’ve watched. Perfect voice pitch, sound and quality; even down to the timing of the video, all on point! I was engaged the entire time. Thanks for sharing this helpful information!
Podcast titles should be clear and easy to remember for better search results. Including relevant keywords in the podcast description aids in targeting the right audience. Uploading podcasts to multiple platforms like TH-cam, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts is crucial for maximum exposure. Love this tutorial and your amazing advice!
What do we gain from setting something as 'podcast' versus uploading it as a regular video? Does it get shown to more people? Is it promoted or searched for differently? Both formats being videos, with narration... Love the comprehensive no-nonsense explanation, thank you!
They’re fundamentally a different type of content. Podcasts can appear in different places for people looking for them, and even in the TH-cam music app.
@@PrimalVideo TH-cam has one of the best algorithms. I haven't researched the TH-cam podcast algorithm extensively. Native podcasts offer a limited search experience compared to Google Search. Perhaps I'm overthinking things. Is it worthwhile to build a new podcast audience when already established on TH-cam? Can this "cannibalize" content?
Helpful - thank you! I already have a TH-cam Music Artist channel with 1400 subscribers and a few dozen videos. But I want to start a video podcast that is mostly unrelated. Should I use my existing TH-cam channel as a jumping off point and put my podcast there (maybe 15% my current audience might be interested), or should I start a new channel from scratch for the podcast?
Thank you so much for this information! I have two podcasts that I plan on starting. I was injured and won’t be returning to work for at least a year. I am taking the opportunity to do what I’ve been putting off for two years. I have scripts for an episode each week for two years. Each episode is 45-ish minutes. Thank you for also providing alternate options besides Fiverr for graphics. I will relook into that. Now I just have to set up a filming room and it’s off to the races. Again, thank you very much.
Amazing video! It helped me a lot! Can you please tell me if there is any software out there where you can record from two mics if you have guests? Thank you
Really good ,guide I've watched a lot before starting my own podcast, this is definitely the most clear and most helpful one. - also on my podcast, iv eonly just started and the occasional expletive slip out is it best to bleep them out or is it ok to leave in. I listen to a few podcasts a few have expletives in but I dont want to risk my channel so still uncertain any thoughts from anyone appreciated thanks
This is a great pace to speak and I really like the fast pace of the speaking in this video quite a lot. I think most podcasts talk way too slow. We need to encourage people to speak more efficiently and faster especially if they’re foreign (for American 🇺🇸 Intellectuals)
Thanks for sharing. If the podcast is audio from another platform that you're importing in, I don't see any issues using a static image. There are times it's relaxing just listening to something without videos.
Thank you for making this! Has anyone had EXTENSIVE problems with audio in Squadcast/Descript on a Mac. I have a MacStudio and no matter what I do the audio is an issue. Sometimes it won't pick up at all...other times it won't connect the mics I have connected to the mac and I can clearly see in the mac settings that the various microphones are connected because they register in the system settings but in Descript/Squadcast...nothing. The most frustrating thing is that the solution is never the same to make it work.
Thanks for this great video. I am new to youtube channel creation. I have an idea to create a podcast however, I want my youtube channel name to be different from my podcast name. What do you think, should I have two separate names for the podcast series and the youtube channel or should I brand the youtube channel with the same name of the podcast? I am asking this as a beginner looking for effective growth of audience to my podcast. Also, I have an idea to do things more than my podcast on youtube in the future.
Having a different name for your podcast and TH-cam channel can be a good strategy, especially if you plan to create diverse content beyond the podcast. It allows you to target different audiences and gives you flexibility in your content. However, if the podcast is your main focus now, using the same name can help with brand recognition and make it easier for your audience to find you. Good luck with your channel! - Hazel, PV Team
I’m already a TH-cam partner. Can I just upload the episode like a normal video/vlog & then put it under the podcast playlist category. Instead of going the lap top route you went? I don’t currently have a lap top.
Quick question on the gear. I've been hosting an audio-only podcast for a few months. I have the Blue Yeti with headphones and pop filter on the mic. I don't quite get how to transition to video podcasting with that same set up... looks a little cumbersome with the big headphones and a big pop filter in front of my face. Do I need a totally different set up or lose the pop-filter and headphones and live with it? Thanks for your quick take on this.
Great questions! Regarding headphones, do you need them to hear guests or music or anything? If not you could just remove them. If you do need them, you can switch to something smaller - I sometimes use my AirPods or the headset that came with my phone. You can also just wear your big headphones. The pop filter is a more important consideration because it is odd if it covers your entire mouth. I used to have a HUGE pop filter until a guest laughed at me for how big it was. 😁 I ended up ordering a smaller one - I'll bet you could do the same. Alternatively you could try lowering the microphone or putting slightly to the side and see if it still sounds okay.
Does TH-cam podcasting have s many topics and language restrictions as posting video regular videos? It might be best to host your podcasts elsewhere and then share the video to youtube feom those places since youtube always changes what is acceptable and what is not and removes content/monetization/pushing out your content. There is more freedom on other platforms so if youtube removes your content (where you have it) you wont be losing it in other places.

aye !
So the only reason I may need to use podcast software is if I am interviewing remotely. Do you really need it for TH-cam?

The big one is that podcasts get distributed to the TH-cam Music app.
