I've been trying to beat the game using only Slime monsters and it's been going pretty well, I think I have my main team for the rest of the game with a Grandpa Slime as my magic user, Slionheart as my healer, Gem Slime as my tank (selflessness is a balanced ability btw) and a Shogum as my physical attacker. Your guides have been incredibly helpful, without them I wouldn't have known that Perfect Speller or Hair Splitter were a thing. Thank you.
Slimes are extremely powerful so you can actually make a good team of them!
If you think selflessness isnt balanced just wait till you go into pvp where they abuse that with the 2 monsters that stun and debuff all your stats for killing it, then they get revived to do it again. If that;'s not enough then you'll love seeing the green fairy dragon thing war cry spam you and stun lock you because it's the fastest thing in the game.

Barbarus the Dragon has been my favorite since DQM joker 2. He was event only/ladder rewards. I've wanted him for over 10 years now. He was my second make after Uber killing machine, currently beating the game with him. While I love it, I just hit the upper echelon.... so I'm kind of stomping with my team. LOL
Barbarus? The one from DQ9? If so, you can synth him already. I made him when I was going for Nokturnus.
@XLamonteCoxX yes I fixed the spelling error now. But yes him. And I'm well aware! He's on my team now! I'm just hitting the upper echelon. Haven't even done one yet, just unlocked it. Upper echelon that is.
Yesss I’m so happy with the inclusions from 9 in this game. I was definitely missing that from Joker 2
What talents do you recommend?
@flamedmahoganytable9749 I'm currently running him for fun, so I've been using Barbarus/Wisdom booster/Zam Virtuoso. But if you wanted to actually use him as a online battler I'd recommend impactor or perfect speller added with wisdom boost. The last talent is more how you want to run him, I'd suggest agility booster. But you could always add a talent to counter act his weaknesses in Debilation/ Water/ Earth/ Electric/ or light. Rather than just straight plain Jane agility boost.

One of my favorites since DWM2 is the Baleen Mage and Cetacean Sorcerer
My favorite atm are Briny Bronco and Hell Niño. Bronco since he’s easy to get early and with Water Virtuoso wrecks green dragon early to farm up monster levels fast and you can easily teleport to him so he’s the most convent early game xp farm for me. I use Hell Niño cuz pretty good stats with Hellitosis from the blow hard tree as my main to clear the story. They both have their respective meister trait as well as I had to give Hell a Ward talent since Hellitosis needs both castslasher and meister to not drain all my mana after 2 casts XD.
i actually had no clue that krystalinda was the best meta monster until i got her- i originally got her because she was cool and only found out after- now she's my most powerful monster, consistently dealing damage in the 600s and completely ruining the upper echelons-
What size krisalynda are u using? S or L? And what skills did.u put to her?
I just got Dark Prince. I didn't know you can get Krystalinda. I loved her in DQ XI 🤩
Will you ever make an egg farming video as it is quite painful getting the egg exclusives for synthesis ? Would love seeing an efficient way to farm and the list of the best maps depending on the target !
Yeah I am trying to get there - but if I want to keep the same video quality, then it takes a lot of time!

The FINAL boss is immune to ice, so I suggest a Jasper or another Dark elemental user be built along with Krystalinda.

I have everything, except that I need a Marquis de Léon, that is an egg exclusive, only in rainbow eggs, so, yeah, I'm farming a LOT
Always a disapointement when I finally get a rainbow egg but it's a random A rank monster, but, when I'll get it I'll have it for good so I'm not giving up

One of the best monster in the game. I got her with Perfect Spell, Wisdom 4 and Wisdom 3 all maxed. She easily deals 900 dmg to any monster

Slionheart with Supreme Healer as talent. Cuts down on MP cost and increases potency of heal spells due to his traits and even when small can go 2-3 times

Great video! Can you help with healer talent builds? I have a Grandpa Slime and I hear that there are healer talents that require the same compound synthesis method as Perfect Speller. Any ideas?

What are the best talents to use with Krystalinda? I currently have Perfect Speller, Wisdom Booster IV, and Crack Ward. But should I be using something else in place of that last one?
Yeah I didn't know how to make Dora-in-Grey so I just skipped it and went for Murdraw instead!!
Now I have a team of 3 S ranks(Jasper UB, Murdaw and Uberkilling Machine) and 1 X rank(Lord of the Dragovians) and now I feel ready to take on the upper escilons!!!

Why is Krystalinda considered so good? What about Baramos? He's the same but with Frizz and has bossesbane in addition.
Can you maybe do a video on how to decide which talents or traits (I forget what they’re called) to pass on to the children during synthesis? I’ve kind of just been passing on hp/mp/wisdom booster or anything that boosts multiple stats. I kind of feel like that may be hurting me more than helping me though.
Boosters are very powerful - but you need to level them up to Level IV for it to matter! For example a top build for Krystalinda :
- ( Chosen Attacking Talen - preferably with Ice Spells )
- Wisdom IV
- One of the 4 Elemental Defenses

What talent trees do you reccomend for Krystalinda? I have Crack virtuoso for Kacrackle, Wisdom III and Wisdom IV.
A special Ice Tree from Zoma - higher tier monster - Wisdom IV and probably a defense talent
Your gonna want polarizer
I rune mine with Perfect Spellcaster (there's another rank S that has a better Ice damage tree, but haven't been able to build it yet), Wisdom 3 and Wisdom 4
If you're not making your 'ultimate final' Krystalinda, Refrigerator from the snowgre is a good choice to hold her over.
Maybe i havent got it because of my German but i don't get it. The monsters won't fuse to it. what did i do wrong?

Krystalinda is waifu lol but I have to say Slionheart for healing and 2 turn attacks, and Überkilling Machine for critical damages. Also too Overkilling Machine with critical damage and two turns

Well it is not necessary - bring nothing new, but saves crapton of hours since you can gather the same monsters you made instantly.
I don't want to progress the story. I want her after the Yellow Crystal.
I have L size linda she cast quite often cast critical spell but she quite weak .
But i love to have sexy mage in my team 😂

Your guide is incomplete it does not show The monsters that is supposed to come out of those four so it does not work

Why do people keep calling this game the 3rd one? It's the 4th game
I love how people praise this game for being balanced, but then we come up with "Best unit" vids anyway, and it's ALWAYS the painfully generic Slime and Human characters. Like, why even bother having fun with the game when THIS C@$& is just inherantly better than the hundreds of actually cool and likeable designs? Like, no matter how much I get into competitives, I refuse to use her. What's the point of it being a mon-tamer if the "best unit" is an uninspired human character you could find in millions of other games?
Having bosses from main line dq games as high lvl monsters have ALWAYS been one of the appeals of the monsters series. And she's new since this is the first monster game after DQXI. Also slimes are the face of the series. They specifically try to make those bosses and slime monsters as the coolest. It just so happens you don't think they're cool. But unfortunately for you you're in the minority.
@@llinium I'm not "in the minority" @$%&-@$$. That's just pandering to one interest. There's absolutely no excuse for doing that. You could have other monsters be strong to appeal to a wide variety of people like, say, the people who like dragons or animals, but no. It's such a grand idea to pander ONLY to people who like humans and slimes, instead.
My god, so many mon-tamers are like this. Pokemon LOVES pandering to people who like scrawny, spindly monsters, and big menacing monsters get the shaft in comparison. Digimon ALSO seems to love humans passed off as monsters, since most of their strongest monsters are, and the rest are robots, so, once again, if you like big menacing dragons or beasts, F-U!
I think the meta has already changed, now it is just use acceleratle and try to cc the opponent before they can do anything, then kill them.
