I would use the Armoured Wartoise as fusion material for a Wyrtle I read it on a spreadsheet so at least when I get the full game I have already gotten all the monsters I need to fuse into Rank E Monsters so at least I can go through more of the story and find other monsters I want to find like the Dreaded Dragooner and the Slime Snack.
Don't know if you talked about item drops yet but.... I got a strength ring from the cyclops boss. It's a good early item to have for boosting attack for Monster taming. As for the other bosses I only got mystery meat from the Green Dragon and nothing from the lizard.
I think they changed the talents with update. is not possible get "Crack virtuoso" or "Deep Breather" anymore with low rank. I got the same monsters and my reptile for example came with "shallow breather" is not good like "Deep Breather" and i need 100 points to unlock Chilly Breath and not only 10 points like in your video. They changed it with update I think . Thanks for your videos
I like the game but even after 5 hours and reading all the text, watching cutscreens etc it all still feels a little overwhelming for a new player like me. Your guides have been a great help though, so thanks!
Depends what is wonky for you. Is it a bit dated graphics and 30 fps? Yes - but the game itself is very fun and entertaining and for me at least that's the thing that matters! I recommend it!
@HDHaZmY I don't care about graphics too much only that new star ocean game bothered me. I love the world of dragon quest I just don't want it to be like pokemon scarlet
Wdym? As in they only take 3 skill trees? That's how it goes for synthesis, when fusing a new monster it can carry over up to any 3 skill trees: the one it can naturally learn, and those from it's parents
@@DavidAndrean62yes they are nerfed and only get 3 points instead of 6 or 9. Your basic just caught monster gets 6. Your synth monster gets 9 points because it has 3 talent trees. But when you carry over from the demo all your monsters only have one talent tree
Hunter Mech (L Size) is a bit of a waste. Before you carry that over I would syth it with any regular size monster to make it small. It's Talent "Tactical Commander" or whatever it's name is, does not work with L size Tactical Commander. They don't stack and Hunter Mechs overrides the 1-3 attacks per turn, to 1-2 attacks per turn. Hunter Mech is one of the few monsters that you actually DO NOT want as an L size.
@@Spnzr1 it’s pretty easy. L monsters are going to appear much larger than normal in the overworld. Some small monsters will also look large ish, but you will know the difference. For example a Skelton soldier will look massive and be as tall as a tree. They take up two party slots and are usually given three traits to start instead of one. Also their stats and resistances are generally better. If you catch any large monster you can use it to turn any other monster into a large monster by breeding a few bongo drongos with your monster you want to create and turn large, Bongo/ Bongo + Monster you want to make large / Bongo usually will then result in Large monster when you take the above combination and breed it with your tamed large monster. Hope this helps :)
No it means that making my Hunter Mech large was a waste because they already attack 2 times in S form - and the 3 Times attack in L form does not work with it.
Be mindful of which skill trees you invest and inherit from each of it's materials. The Hunter Mech, from my understanding from the mainline games, is a monster that likes to hit hard and fast. Focus on getting at least one each of a skill tree that focuses on attack and speed. The third should maybe be one where it can get one or more physical attacks, like Flame Slash

A slime main? Ah, I see you are a man of culture as well.
Nice love your monsters. It seems you took your time with them.
I could have spent much more for some I wanted - but I left them instead for the full game ^^

You can also get items from treasuer chests - but these seem like fixed drops not random! Gotta see the full game!
I kept my 2 shiny monsters, hunter mech, snowmangler, king kelp, cannonbrawler, whizzard, and one floating thing that looks like a grim reaper
Nice video. One question I have is once a monster becomes L if it is synthesised again can it shrink to be S? Can’t wait for more content
Yes you can shrink it back - which I guess I could do for my Hunter Mech - just synthesise it with a "small" small monster

Your guides have been a great help though, so thanks!
I got 4 mech with atk booster 4, whatever the signature skill is called, and agility boost 4, train coming baby.
The Attack Boost and Agility Boosts will reset unfortunately - only the monster itself carries over - Traits reset.
I read that grandparent synthesis was a thing so i merged 4 slimes hoping for a king slime. That didnt seem to happy
I can confirm there are monsters you need to combine 4 monsters for!
@@HDHaZmY in the demo or just in general?
For the whole game - there are grandparent synths
@@HDHaZmY cool! That's what I thought. I'll have to try again with the slimes. I think the older games had mixing 4 slimes created a king slime
@@klissattackYeah I believe you are correct. Probably wasn't available for the demo though
what about if i havent played the demo?
I feel like I'm pretty good at this game but I haven't tried fusing yet.
I have a question. I just bought the game today and never played the demo. What would be best for me then?
Choose a cruel cumber as a starter and keep steady
@@christopherbrown1988 dang…. I already got mud man marionette
@@jacobislucas its all good. Still can work for ya! Early game is ok for now!
Have a random question how can I defeat big monsters early on? The blue cyclops ect?
Easiest to build up high level Magic Monsters to use Ka Spells - I have guide on it!
What’s the best starter monster?
@@rob9031 slime is also a good second monster, it’s frizz move does a lot of damage
But the normal blue slimes are easily captured in the first area and show up often its NOT worth starting with anything BUT that Cruelcumber one.
@@veghesther3204 I know, just saying they’re a good partner for super early.
I hear the demo was wonky? How is the full and would you recommend it. My favorite DQ was the one on ps2.
