But the most terrible thing about this junk cap is the lack of criteria about how to keep a good position of the boat when a critical wave is conming. Bon sang, quand je vois çà, çà me fout hors de moi; prendre la mer avec un petit canot avec un passage difficile comme celui là, avec un moteur de 6 chevaux!!!!!!!!! c'est de l'inconscience. L'échelle fixe obligatoire pour pouvoir remonter à bord elle est où c'est à çà que cela sert. Mais perso, et cela me conforte dans mon idée, une puissance de 6ch en mer c'est beaucoup trop faible; il y 30 ou 40 ans c'était 9,9 et ce n'était pas de trop. The bigger the wave the more he goes off the power when it should have been on, and in between waves he doesn't hurry up to get anywhere so the waves are endless.
Once in the water, he should have released the boat and floated to land in his life vest so the others could save the boat.

For about a decade now, the US Coast Guard requires a boating safety course to operate any vessel in tidal waters. I used to be an instructor. Amazing how little even "experienced" boaters knew.

Inadmissible qui lui a donné son permis bateau, il a du l'avoir dans les chiots son permis. Lorsque qu'il y a des vagues de série, il faut la prendre de face et a pleine vitesse.. Si la puissance du moteur ne suffit pas, alors en fait demi tour et on reste a terre. Cette homme mes la vie d'autre personnes en danger et perd le contrôle de la situation et cela se voit dans la vidéo.

Here is a tip from an old California surfer to boaters who obviously don't know: when you try to get through the surf, don't go toward the direction where the waves have not broken yet- go toward the section where they have broken. It is not intuitive, but it works.

I gave up on them the moment I saw them dragging their fenders in a skiff they'd loaded down to only about six inches of freeboard at the transom, so the fact no one died is a much better outcome than I was expecting.

And to top off an already bad situation I think only one of the four had a PFD! Maybe two. And once the “captain” went overboard no one even took control of the boat. They just sat there floundering and scooping 1/2 cup of water at a time!

I keep a looped rope tied to a gunwale cleat. You throw it over the side and it works as a step. Big men don't always have upper body strength but they usually have strong legs.

First, he's incredibly lucky he was able to grab the bow rail or he would've been shredded by the prop. Biggest mistake he made, a aside from buying a boat in the first place, was going thru the surf at that low speed. Had he been near on plane with the others as far forward as possible, even in the cabin, they'd have been fine.

Austen Gully I’m guessing there is no bilge pump. Why else would they have a bailing bucket handy in the open. Only one I’ve had on any of my boats is the one that holds the emergency kit and doubles as the watertight storage when not in use. They specify cut a jug into a bailer like used on little sailboats with no bilge pump.

He should be helping to rescue(?) the skipper who looks like he just might drown. All three of these "men" appear to be more helpless than the next. The kid is the smartest one. He's wearing a life jacket and probably would survive if the boat sinks.

Tu vois que les paddles et surfeurs à la sortie du port ça peu avoir son utilité ^^(rapport à discussion que l'on a eu sur ton autre vidéo). Le premier surfeur qui intervient est un bon copain. Avec des "touristes" comme ça (le mec venait de mettre son bateau à la cale) tu vas en avoir souvent de belles vidéos avec la belle saison des vagues qui arrive :)

Si se fijan en el video a partir del minuto 2:40 hasta el 3:00 existe el llamado "calmón" que sucede en cualquier mar abierto, es decir, tendrían que haber esperado ese momento y hubiesen entrado sin problemas con casi 20 segundos de mar sin oleaje..
