Apparently, yes. Amy says so herself. If we discount what she said, then the train did not pick up on the hammer, which feels unlikely, unless they register Amy’s Hammer as a tool. Is there a size limit to identifying hammers as tools?
Now back to not thinking so hard about April Fools Sonic Visual Novel and just enjoying the vid.

There's one thing that I just noticed that I don't think anyone mentioned (or maybe it was), but at the beginning of the game, Amy used her Piko-Piko Hammer to try and smash a shelf that was blocking the exit of the storage area. At that time, the hammer broke from the handle when she used it. I know that Tails fixed it, but if the hammer broke for a shelf, how the hell did it destroy the train itself without breaking again?
Obviously the train is an eggman product, whereas the shelf isn't

34:00 Man, this kind of hit me hard. I, and I’m sure many of us here know what it’s like to feel that constant self doubt. Even after being so successful for this long, reaching these new heights, feels like it brings even higher expectations and I know that can feel terrifying.
I’m an animator and recently a group project I’ve been working on released a trailer, at first we were worried that it wasn’t getting as much attention as we’d wanted. But then we found a reaction video for our trailer and the guy was just so hyped and excited and happy that it was just so sweet and joy provoking.
In this kind of job, it’s so so so easy to get swept up in all the numbers and stats, because after all, that is how we measure how much pay and objective success we get and so forth. But an important thing to never forget, every single one of those numbers are real people with real lives and real emotions. Real people who love to watch your content every time you put something out there.
You have 255 000 individual people that truly believe that you are good enough. I think maybe searching for ways to meet your fans would be really helpful, like maybe at conventions or something. Heck, even your regular streams have been great for interacting with your audience, I feel as though you went from another entertainer to a real person I’d legit wanna hang out with because of those streams.
Apologies for the essay, it’s a bad habit of mine. Keep working hard for what you love, keep trying to improve in whatever way you see fit, but even if you stopped, you’re already good enough for me. So it’s safe to say you’re good enough for the rest of us too 😊

But as of the last few mentions, they've been getting much more intricate and involved. Like, at first, the girlfriend and Steve were just flat characters, but now I think the girlfriend is a divorceé and in this video, Steve just came out! It's just fun to see a joke become more layered and intricate

Basically, the TH-camr who actually scripts this is fully aware of the joke and what the joke is. But Charriii5, the character he performs, is not aware.

Honestly the visual novels should be a thing for every April Fools from now on. I think the next one they do should involve an escape room (since they mentioned escape rooms towards the end of this game), maybe with some kind of 90s theming (Because 1: I think it would be a cool homage to the decade Sonic started in and 2: I wanna see what kind of 90s theme outfits the characters would have. Maybe put Sonic in his favorite clothes from the OVA)

The only bad voice in the series belongs to Amy tbh, she sounds like a 45 yo woman trying to sound girly and UwU like. To be fair I don't remember how the side characters sound like, as they barely appeared in the last 10 years lol

His Amy and Tails voices can be grating, but I can hardly blame him; as a full grown man, try voicing a teenage girl and an 8 year old boy.

One thing i might say on the ninjutsu thing, ninjutsu is a combination of multiple martial arts and practices, not just one.
And you'd be surprised what fits under "martial art". A large portion of, for example, karate, which falls under ninjutsu, is about figuring out someones tells and how they react to certain things.
So, in a world with hedgehogs that can run at the speed of light, i wouldnt be surprised if it is possible to learn to read minds through ninjutsu

25:04 Personally, I always saw it as a separate walkway towards the front of the train. Think of it like there’s two rows people can walk in to get from one end of the train to the other. The only difference is this one is far more secretive. Considering this train was revealed to be built by Eggman, it makes sense to put in some thing overly elaborate like that.

Honestly I get the feeling. I really do. I'm not perfect, nor do I try to be, but as someone who is striving to try to be better it is extremely painful and depressing mentally when I try to do something the way I want and I get told otherwise by someone who I know knows more about the thing. I see talent and I look and feel like I'm never gonna be there because of my circumstances. It's just pain and mental heartbreak.
However keep at it and trying to improve. Regardless of what goes down the today or in the past you can wake up the next day and make a difference in someone's life. Just trying to help someone is my personal goal and I thought I share that. So keep at it Charrii you got this.

Charii's voice acting is really top notched here, with Shadow's being genuinely better than many of Sega's voice actors and Tails being on the opposite of the spectrum (though understandable, even a professional would struggle to sound like an eight year old).

For the bit at the end, just want to say that even though most people will never be the best you don't have to be, you make content that has built up a community around you, that has kept people coming back, watching, enjoying and sharing it. Even though you may think that you don't match up to the talent that is around you, at least this "no one" thinks you do. I have no idea why, but the "I am; it's not." after Rice Bingle says "I'm not smart enough to know if personacity is a word." really got me. To be fair the fact that Espio made up a word to rhyme with "tenacity" and "vivacity" absolutely destroyed me anyway but something about the "I am; it's not" made it a whole lot funnier.

They just said they don't like watching EWW-like videos in general anymore because they are often made to be purposefully nitpicky and unserious about the thing they're based on, which yeah that can be fun but it's sometimes tiring when it's just being nitpicky and unserious and not really useful to do as the only means to criticize something.

@10:00 I think it's adorable that Knuckles wouldn't fight Tails. And the examples you list is when Knuckles was kinda that frenemy/rival stage. Sonic Battle would be an example of official friendship.
Plus I like the idea Knuckles would teach Tails how to fight.

My guess is Mobius’s population of Mobians (their proper name, not simply Anthros), basically work like continents. On some continents are primarily Mobians and on some are primarily Humans maybe that’s just because it’s where their species have evolved and acclimated to. And in the comics we’ve seen several Humans aside from Eggman in Mobian populations, like Snively and the Iron Queen and such, so it’s possible some Humans move to Mobian continents either permanently or just visiting as tourists, and vice versa. For whatever reason, Sonic has conveniently only visited places where both species living amongst one another is oddly rare. That’s how I choose to interpret it. And I mean, with the fact this universe (granted this game is questionably canon) possesses both Mobius AND Earth, and there’s presumably travel between both planets (aliens have been a weirdly recurring thing and it’s shown with characters like Eggman that space travel is clearly achievable), maybe it’s just the majority of Humans are on Earth and the majority of Mobians are on Mobius, and travel between both planets is simply enough of a hassle that while it’s not unheard of, it’ll be pretty rare to see someone from your home planet move to an entirely different one

Sonic, before realizing that the train was a badnik, asked the conductor if there was a bakery nearby, and then used the phone to call them and ask the bakery to make the cake. How did he pay, then? Either the conductor paid for it, or the bakery just gave it for free cuz, well, it's Sonic 😅 Would have been nice if they added a few more scenes where they explained these circumstances, not only the cake.
Honestly I’m surprised he didn’t bring up how Sage is back and has her original Red and black color instead of Blue and white like how she was at the end of Frontiers. Which means this takes place after frontiers. So did Tails go on his own for a bit and came back for Amy’s bday or is this soon after Frontiers before everyone separated for a bit???
Sonic also mentions him getting a speed boost after getting a lot of rings in his last adventure... which is exactly how the ring meter in Frontiers works

I don't know why but while watching this video, I felt very comfy. Like I can legit turn off my brain, crawl in a small space (I like small spaces), and relax while watching this video. Charriii does such an amazing job with this. I can feel cozy and relaxed and forget the world exists. Come to think about it, there's a lot of fictional stories where they still have out expressions and references while lacking the reason they started being used. Then again, we almost just as often suspend our disbelief because relearning it would be hard.
I really have to say that you are a really good vocie actor for most of the characters especially how you did Vector and Rice Bingle, as it felt as it was the normal voice actors from the games.

You sure about that, Eggman? If we're going by the opening cutscene for Sonic 1 in Sonic Origins, all the badniks did was harass and capture the other animals. None of them were actively targeting Sonic specifically. Even the Motobug that Sonic destroyed didn't pay any mind to him zooming by.
To bring up Amy backup Piko Piko Hammer (and I’m not sure if this counts), in Sonic X Amy is shown to summon her hammer at will at any given time and any size she wants. I like to think that makes her a weapon conjurer.
I've enjoyed your EWW's all the way back to sonic adventure 2 and have since watched all of them. You're absolutely good at what you do, don't worry about trying to stack up to everyone else because there are probably people they feel the exact same way about.
the piko-piko hammer is literally a toy. well it's a toy in real life, and considering how ineffective it was stated to be in sonic adventure, it's likely supposed to be that toy, so the train wouldn't take it.
though the fact it's a lighter backup, implies that at some point amy started taking her self defense more seriously and got a more deadly version, but the fact we know this one in the game is lightweight and easy to break, likely means this one is definitely comparable to a toy.

I think I would definitely like a Chaotix Visual Novel Spinoff similar to this but some sort of Silver spinoff would be great. Maybe since Silver has been less speed and potencially could be more puzzley, maybe there could be some sort of time travel mechanic. Where you have to change a specific thing in the past to change something in the future. Like plant a seed in some soil, then time travel in the future, and find a tree that grows... A key or something
Another idea is a cooking spinoff featuring Cream the Rabbit as the main character. Maybe something similar to Cooking Mama or those cafe Hello Kitty games with all the minigames, only you play as Cream. And to make it more comedic, have Shadow be an employee who delivers food to over people wearing a cute uniform, while driving his motorcycle, as a minigame

Can i just say, i love how you voice act the characters in this. Specially, Blaze and Rouge. Most people would just do meme-y sort of voices for them but you actually put effort and do a great job at voicing them.
