The Axopar 28 is the Hillary Swank of boats. You just can't decide if it's good looking or not.
Best video's on the web:-) We are looking at a new 28 cabin next week. Can't wait. We will be using her for weeks at a time so I need to figure out storage for all the extra stuff. I guess cooking will be on a Colemen, showers on the aft deck, pots pans and food will need to be stored somehow. Mostly we would be 3 to 4 days between re-supplies but when we are headed to Alaska we need at least a weeks worth of supplies or more. Plus spare parts for the engines etc. Including one extra prop. I used a spare prop before on our last boat. But it was for a partner vessel, same engines. I know the 28 is not designed for what we are going to be doing, but I will make it work. Thanks Dan for all the awesome info. Maybe you could speak to the 28's long term stays on the water.
Twins only:-) Why does anyone run a single? Althugh my last boat was a single and kicker combo. And I had to use that kicker to get home once. I'll never go single again.
Turn the gyro on, she is a rock and roller:-) You're making me sea sick.... just kidding.

Good presentation. Electric Spotlight, handy, candles don't show much. Great idea throwing the kids out the back, but don't forget to lock the swim ladder so they can't climb back on board. I'd love one of these boats, c'mon lotto.
Correct re the swim ladder and yes these Axopar's are really amazing on the water. Glad you enjoyed!
How is she at anchor? Does she roll a lot?
Too often boat buyers forget about family and friends who DON'T do well on boats without cover.

Can you tow these?
Yes plently of people tow them with F150 type vehicles and dual or triple axel trailers but you might be over width depending on where you are. Pretty big boat to tow unless you know what your doing. Also the Axopar such a great hull you can just drive it anywhere
are these boats any good with rough seas? Seems like the deadrise is very shallow. probably wont handle a good chop right? any insights would be appreciated thanks
very good in rough weather. Many videos showing it in some nasty conditions.
Exceptional in rough water. The cutting bow slices through the waves instead of lifting and slamming like traditional fuller bows. Short and sharp stuff or even big rollers i've driven Axopar's in all conditions and i have always felt safe and comfortable. Plus they are super fun to drive!
I was thinking the same thing. But check out Boat Test's TH-cam video. They run it offshore in Miami. Not the worst conditions but it looks less than pleasant. They claimed it handled chop/swell beautifully.
Axopar boats are built for handling rough seas comfortably, safely and fast. I've seen videos of Axopars cruising comfortably at 35 kn in rough waters, no issues. But of course that doesnt come free, since they do lack interior volume compared to boats of similar size.
So its all about what you want for your money. Axopar is all year, all weather fast boat.

T. V. Yes since 2018 the Axopar 28 can be ordered with up to twin 200hp. Must be new order because of the wiring loom etc. looks great with twins btw

T. V. it’s similar top speed at WOT because of power to weight ratio. Approximately 44 - 46kts. Unless you need redundancy of twin motors the single 350hp Verado is just fine
