    I'm very impressed with the Landzie demo and was thinking great this will be an excellent addition to my lawn arsenal, so was set to buy one. That was until I saw the price - am I alone in thinking a fair price for this would be £80-£100 for what is essentially a mesh can, that is nothng revolutionary whatsoever in terms of the design and materials...!? £250 is ridiculous, but am sure they will still sell. But not for me unfortunately, have got to justify the spend...

    As a professional this is a great buy at a great price. I currently use a £1000 bannerman mini topper topdresser which is great but it's a lot heavier, hard in tight space and 4x the cost!. It also has 2 punctured tyres so guess what my next purchase is going to be....

    I bolted a peice of 2"x2" x 4' long to a Rake and that works for levelling for me. Really cheap, easy to store. As for the perforated bin on a handle that could be knocked up in an afternoon. But a garden sieve does the same.

    Thanks for the review. I have just sieved a bulk bag of Rolawn topsoil for a new lawni(it is better quality than the local builders merchants supply, but then it is also twice the price) and I can see the benefit of it sieving the soil as well as spreading it. But I would still buy a lute for levelling and save £100

    Taken from a letter sent to the Company President... With no response.
    "As I begin a new season ready to overseed our 100,000 sq. ft. property, I wanted to express how very disappointed I remain with your 44” Compost and Peat Moss Spreader purchased June 29, 2021 (Order Number 9989). During its first use the hinges securing the cover broke off one by one with the result the cover was damaged. I am a Master Gardener and fully followed the directions. When contacted, your Customer Service Department sent new hinges and some type of long pin (?) with an explanation they were aware of the issue and this should fix it. No instructions. Frankly, I don’t have either the pop riveting or welding skills needed to fix it so I just put it in back of one of our sheds.
    Nevertheless, I ran across it again today and wanted to voice my still raw disappointment that I spent $699.99 on this unit and still had to rent a peat moss spreader to do the task on our property because of 1) a poor engineering design and 2) an inadequate response to solve the problem by transferring its solution to me, the customer. Frankly, in looking at your site and Swardman’s site I was taken aback by references of both companies touting their emphasis on engineering quality and core values that focus on the customer. This also seemed to be advanced by Michael Suchanka of Swardman in a statement advancing your company. Hey, I’m just a customer, not the enemy, not a Beta Tester, just a very knowledgeable private gardener going on down the road disappointed.
    Finally, I am neither looking for nor expecting any resolution to this matter since I have already chalked it up to another lesson learned and misspent resources expended."

    Great video!! I'm a newbie to lawn care. I got interested in this product so I bought it and used today. I ordered tote bag of garden soil and mixed with composted manure. soil was very moist and there were lots of soil clumps. I felt like not much soil didn't come out of the spreader. I didn't know what I was doing haha...I spread too thick on some areas and many spots were thinner than I expected. so I ended up spreading some more by hand.. I'm learning~. it is also very expensive here in Canada as well 🤐

    I want to sow some cover crops in a garden patch I had peas planted in. I would like to use the "no dig..till" method to so these cover crop seeds. I wonder if I could just spreading out the seed on top of the clean/non-disturbed soil, then add a thin layer of compost over the top of the seeds using this device? I could also spread out some wheat straw as well, like people do when planting grass seeds. I see that others sow cover crops by simply raking in the seeds to the topsoil, but covering them with a think layer of compost using this thing would be much less labor intensive and faster.

    • @GardenLawncareGuy
      @GardenLawncareGuy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't grow seeds but if you are looking to cover them with a thin layer of compost this will do that no problem very quickly and easily. If you get bagged compost it can be quicker to load into the machine vs a bulk bag and wheel barrow but depends on cost, site access etc.

As a result of redoing our patio that goes around our lawn I now need to raise the height of our lawn by like 2-3cm, I’ve bought topsoil and ready to the job but I’m not sure if I need to kill off the old lawn or just cover it over with topsoil and seed a new lawn ontop? Could you please advise. Great videos. Thanks Ben

    • @GardenLawncareGuy
