Leave a comment below and let me know what you think of the Landzie compost spreader!
I'm going to get me one. I love being in my yard
Nice 👍 Thanks for watching.
Thank you for sharing this awesome video sir. I have been looking to buy this for a long time. You made my decision to buy it now really easy, 👍👍👍👍👍
Glad you found value in the video. Thanks for watching.
Looks great, Julio. The Landzie is simple but genius. Not to mention you also get a good workout in the process as well! Keeo up the great work.
Thanks. I appreciate you watching.
Great video. Thank you
If you're adding more than 1/8" at a time to try and level uneven areas i could see where this might not be the right tool for the job. But that sure looked smooth. Nice work. Nice lawn!
nice good work brother 👏
Thanks. I appreciate you watching.
This tool looks amazing. Curious if you've had any experience or issues using it in damp or wet conditions? Also, can you recommend any Canadian retailers for this product? Thanks!
How many bags of soil did you use on this front lawn? And do you prefer garden soil over lawn soil? Thanks
I’m looking to top dress my lawn with about 7 yards of compost material. How many bags did you put down, and how long did it take you with this spreader?
What size drop spreader fo you use. Why drop spreader over broadcast spreader?
What mix or packaged soil/amendments do you find most effective? I noticed Scotts premium garden soil in the video but wonder what other varieties you have found success?
Actually I did a job where in a wheel barrow I mixed one bag of the Scott’s premium garden soil with one bag of vigaro premium lawn soil which looked more like a dryer peat moss type thing and the two mixed well and spread so nice as the Scott’s tends to be wetter, so the dryer vigaro really works well with it. The lawn popped within a few weeks and was so lush and green. Thanks for watching.
Hi I plan to do a overseed in coming Sept. I will scarify lawn first then overseed. Is it better to use compost or top soil in this spreader to top off after overseeding? Thanks
I would do a mix. Straight compost can sometimes be too strong for new seed. Top soil will spread better in the landzie as it’s finer. If you can only do one type I’d stick with topsoil. Thanks for watching.
I have a Vevor 24” Compost Spreader, but I doubt there’s a lot of difference between the two, so I’m not concerned about that.
I was curious as to how much topsoil you averaged per 1,000 square feet of lawn. I picked up one 1.5 cu ft bag of Miracle-Gro Herb & Vegetable Soil to do a little patching up around the lawn, but it seemed to be a lot better than the run-of-the-mill stuff most manufacturers call “topsoil” these days. How does this compare with your Scotts Premium topsoil?
I’d rather pick up too many bags than get caught short while doing this, so I was just trying to get some idea of how many bags to buy.
Also, I’ve been advised to put this down BEFORE I overseed my lawn this Saturday, so I don’t “suffocate” the seed. Do you concur with this?
Did you mix in the grass seed in with the soil inside the compost spreader or did you drop the seed afterwards?
I always drop the seed first using a drop spreader then cover with soil with the Landzie or the old way of dumping piles of soil and raking them out. Thanks for watching.
I just got my 24" Lanzee a week ago and the first thing I learned is make sure your compost is not moist!
Yes I learned that pretty quick as well as you can see in the video. Thanks for watching
Nice video, one ☝🏻 question, can I mix the soil with seed and use the spread and that is ok 👍🏻, or it is better spread the soil and after spread the seed?? Thanks
Yes of course that will work. You want to have good soil to seed contact and protection from drying out. Never just put seed on top of soil. For best results always mix into soil or cover with soil. Keep watered. Thanks for watching.
@@LawnCareBusinessSuccess thanks
What’s the benefit of such a thin layer of topsoil in this particular yard?
Client happiness! I wanted to add some nutrients to the soil and cover the seed I had just put down before filming. Client did not want the lawn covered in soil for weeks. So doing a thin layer I find is the best balance. The lawn will pop from the new nutrients and after a rain all traces of the soil have worked their way past the grass and are at ground level, and it accomplished my goal of protecting the seed and keeping it moist between watering. Thanks for watching.
Shows you just how much of a waste top soil is, collects all the mulch for you.
The bag soil always wet, if open the bags and waiting 1 or 2 days let the soil dry, that could be more better.
