@@consumerreview2k Hey! I finally got my 77G3 about 2 weeks ago. I love it. It’s perfect. The brightness and clarity of the picture are insanely good. The 3D pop that you’ve talked about many times in your videos is there in everything I watch including regular SDR HD content that’s been up scaled by the G3. I didn’t expect to see that and it’s a great surprise. I thought the 3D pop of the G3 would only happen with 4k HDR content but this tv does it with everything! Amazing! The brightness is fantastic in my bright living room. It brings out all the details in the picture with such clarity it’s a visual overload for my eyes. The panel uniformity on my 77G3 is perfect. It’s so pristine! Great job LG! I won the panel lottery. I can watch it from any angle and the picture stays perfect. No off axis tint or any DSE whatsoever. The whites this tv produces are pure white and extremely bright and detailed. Motion is excellent and upscaling is phenomenal. It’s exciting watching familiar content and seeing lots of detail that my old plasma could never show. I’ve watched Avatar Way of Water, Pacific Rim 2013, Foundation, The Batman, Dune part 1, All Quiet on the Western Front, lots of HDR content on TH-cam, Netflix, Disney Plus and Apple. No dimming for anything I watched. Everything played perfectly and remained at the same brightness throughout. The A9 Gen6 processor is very powerful. I can’t get over how good this tv is! I needed time to become familiar with it and to watch a lot of content before getting back to you. I’m sorry about the delay. The G3 integrated perfectly with my Yamaha surround sound system. I’m so happy I purchased this TV! Definitely worth the wait.
Your videos are the most honest comparisons. So far, it's G3 for me. I used to love Samsung, but these new technologies change so fast that I usually wait and get surprised by another brand. lol If you compare movies with a sun without Dolby vision, you also get a blown out sun instead of seeing the circular shape for the non Dv believers. Money is tight right now, and I don't usually buy the first couple of models for certain electronics and cars, even when I have the money but never say never. If I find a good deal on both tv and even if the G3 is a little more than I would still go with the G3.
@FadeTOBlack2181. Hey thank you for the comment and checking out the video. I can certainly do that. But I'm not sure if it will automatically shut off vrr and all when doing so.
@@consumerreview2k Thanks for the reply and consideration. If you have an xbox series x you should be able to do it. I am using a G3 in cinema home with vrr and all still enabled and the picture quality is superior and I can't detect any more noticable input lag. I'm curious to hear your opinion.
@@FadeToBlack2181this is quite common. I heard from tech with kg that gaming outside of game optimiser mode looks way better picture quality on the g3/c3
I think overall the G3 so far. I like how the user menu is more intuitive and how you can fine-tune the picture better versus the S95C. And I like how the lg g3 menu guides you in the correct direction when needed, and you're stuck on a user issue when messing around with the settings. But i do like the color volume better on the S95C.
I do understand the difference of the extra depth the LG brings to the picture with DTM active. I do like this too. Though, I would not just call this ''detail''. The effect of the DTM is to create stronger shadows and brighter highlights (It does not work the same way on the S95C, only lifting shadows and brightening the image.) That is what gives the look of depth and appearance of more defined edges. Howevever, the cost of having DTM active on the LG is how surface area texture, colours and light behaves. In some cases, darker colour regions or lighter colour regions are missing detail on the G3. In other cases the textures are being over worked IMO. A bit like applying a filter on your phone photo that looks cool, but not on every image. Overall, I totally agree you can go back on forth on these in terms of where they each excell.
@exhibitD79. Hey, very nice to hear from you. Thank you for the informative comment. Overall, it's a tough call as they both have their own individual advantage over the other. It's a tough one
Hey man, I've been hearing a lot of users mentioning this about the G3 (and now G4) being more superior over the Samsung models on this aspect, but I just don't understand. What do you mean by "3D pop" or "3D look"? I think I understand that you're talking about graphical details of what's on screen, but it is not an actual setting you have to toggle, is it? Or is it named differently? I'm looking to purchase my first OLED display and I'm trying to weigh my options so it'd be great if I know what to expect beforehand.
@kamikaza00007. Hey, thank you for the comment and for checking out the video. Means a lot. The 3d pop just means that the image being displayed looks more 3 dimensional. The contrast is enhanced along with other image processing behind the scenes being done to just look like the image sticks out more. It's mostly due to an oleds infinite contrast and edge sharpness. Along with other factors and settings, too, of course, such as tone mapping etc etc. But no, it's not a particular, let's say, dedicated 3d setting that you enable or disable through the menu settings or anything like that. Just for the most part, it seems like LG kind of created that look and mastered it better than the competition in my personal opinion. Yes, others are noticeable, and as an owner and an enthusiast of this, I think that yes, other manufacturers, especially Samsung and Sony are trying hard to copy that look because you can tell little by little that they are so improving that 3d pop that everyone talks about woth the lg. But for me, it's still definitely a noticeable difference. I think the LG oleds, for some reason, are the best at making a 3d image look so good.
I think the S95C is really killing it in Ghosts of Tsushima against the G3. I don't get why people are saying that the G3 is dominating here, or that the colors look off on the S95C. I actually think the colors look more natural--from the green of the trees, the yellow of the leaves, and even the rocks look more natural to me personally.
My S95C looks nowhere near that pink lol Sharpness at 20 is crazy and the cool colour temperature is awful, barely anyone uses warm 1 nevermind cool. each to their own I guess.
It doesn't look as pink in person. It's the camera that exposes the pink more out of the qd oled. If my room lights were on it would be less noticeable. Also I don't keep sharpness on 20 at all times. I only wanted to show that even with sharpness all the way up it still can't get to the level of detail that the g3 can reach with the g3 sharpness level being down. So just like the g3 can't reach the level of color even when it's higher versus that the s95c can with the color, the s95c cannot reach the level of detail that the g3 can with sharpness all the way on it versus the sharpness being lower on the g3.
love the video been wanting a comparison like this forever, im still undecided on the two but i noticed the pink was so heavy i said instant pass but reading the comments everyone says its not that pink. so very hard to compare in videos like this is the s95c always looking way more pink that it actually is
Have you tried turning off VRR and just leaving ALLM enabled? It will allow you to play in a other modes for a better picture. It will also still have a usable gaming refresh rate.
@504cool. Yes I have done this. I did notice a very small of motion processing faults..when you say usable gaming refresh rate, please tell me what you mean by that?
@joywonderful5804. Hey nice to hear from you again. Yea your right in some cases especially in fire scenes the s95c looks more detailed. I'm just saying the way you can tone the detail in the lg is more tunable.them the s95c.
@brady3468. Hey thank you for the comment and checking out the video. I purchased the couch at ikea. It's been years so I don't even know if they sell it anymore sorry
No it’s the camera lens he’s using picking that up. I personally own the S95c 77 & it has the best uniformity & pure whites I’ve seen on an oled. And that’s coming from owning 4 previous LG oled models.
@jeffjeff-ppz5bz. Can't go wrong picture quality wise. I can say that the biggest issue I have with the S95c is the dropouts. When the tv is actually working good its pretty hard to say you don't like it. It is a beast of a tv for gaming. Overall, HDR options in game mode are a much level than any of my tvs. I love it. But the dropouts make me want to pick the tv and throw it in the middle of the street sometimes.
I am returning S95C - I love the quantum oled technology but the one connect box is crap, produces too much heat that I get dropouts all the time. Are you experiencing the same heating issue?
Watched Tech with KG video he showed LG has really dull colors in game mode. Is that your experience? Its the video with thumbnail: truth about lg g3 oled tv
@DJFITME. Hey thank you for the comment and for checking out the video. Means allot. I do not personally think the colors are dull at all. I just posted another side by side video and you can see for yourself when you have a free moment. My most recent video. Please lmk what you think.
@@consumerreview2k Does look good on that video liked G3 more than the S95. I have 2017 Q8 and looking to buy new tv but not sure should i go with LG oled or samsung mini led QN95C. It will be 90% for gaming. Im too scared to go with samsung oled because they are kinda new to the oled thing i think LG has less burn in risk. QN95C would be lot brighter and better colors but idk. I dont switch tvs often so that why its hard to choose as it will be tv for next 6-7years
@DJFITME that's a tough one. All good choices. Samsung tvs are more plug and play and the settings are not as customizable. But are very bright and colorful. They are a little lower end in quality. And the software updates are known for downgrading picture quality so if you purchase any Samsung tv I recommend not to connect the tv to the internet.
apparently a recent firmware update to the G3 has made Game Mode more brighter. anyone know if this is true? .. watching this video, for the most part i prefer the G3, but you can definitely notice the S95C has more brightness and detail in the very dark shadows, such as at 22min mark... but at the same time, the smoke looks better on the G3....
@user-wm5on5bq4h. Hey thank you for the comment and checking out the video. I haven't really seen a difference in brightness but I will check again. The smoke always looks better to me on the G3. It always looks more realistic to me.
Great video. Very honest. G3 for me. How noticable is the pink in person on the S95C? I would love you to compare the QN95C to both these tvs as im still a mini led man at heart..or is mini led dead compared to oled?
@@caphan8897 I'm in a bright livingroom with 2 windows & lots of ambient light. The s95c is very bright & more than capable in this setup. It comes into it's own with night-time viewing though!
You cant do tru motion in game mode. You can select standard to use it but I only do that for older 30fps games with ant judder on 10 with black frame insertion. I always set the Lg hdmi input to PC for ps5.
Men i owned a s95c for two months now and I feel like its too yellow too washed out i think i shouldve gone with the lg3 im frustrated to not even being able to compare. Maybe I shouldnt use warm 2 but the best setting is apparently warm 2
Hehe great vid as always ogc. Lump everything together....hdr movies, streaming, normal stuff, tv over the air, gaming. Which would you say is the best outta the two?
@Tekeme_DCUO. Hey, nice to hear from you again. So far, I like the g3 more overall. I think it has better overall motion processing better. The tv has a better judder handle, a better picture settings menu for more fine tuning. Overall, a more accurate picture out the box for all categories. But I like the color volume better on the S95C better in gaming. And I do think overall game settings look a little bit better for high color games on the s95c. I just wish it was better on motion handling better. It almost seems like last years motion handling and processing on last year's s95B was better than this year's S95C, but I haven't used it enough to absolutely tell. But I did notice more uneven patterns in the judder while watching 4k movies while streaming when I had both tvs playing the same movie through my splitter on the S95C. And I hate that tvs still has that issue today. I don't get how they can't fix that issue without some kind of sacrifice still. It's getting old. And idc what anyone says. Sony oled tvs whether it's qf oled or woled, they don't have better motion handling then the lg oleds. They just don't. No tv is perfect, but for some reason, ever since Sony came out with this new cognitive processing, it really got worse for them. So I'm really happy with LG. But between these 2 particular tvs, I have to my preliminary choice at the moment is the g3. It is very possible I change my mind once I fine-tune the settings and break it in more later on down the road.
@@consumerreview2k hope you saw a couple of tips I dropped about increasing the colour and brightness with the hdmi override. @120382brian. I only use recommended gaming settings from calibrators. I don't use a reference monitor. And even so, what I noticed is that even using recommended settings, sometimes I feel like some games look better than others within those recommended settings by most calibrators. And I trust their judgment due to their level of expertise. But there are many times when I personally don't care for accuracy, too. Certain games where I would like maxed out brightness because you want to he able to see the objects better from a far distance for example. So the brighter the better. It's 50 50 for me. All depends on the game im playing.
@manyakgaming1346. Hey so sorry for the late reply I'm trying my best to reply to everyone. As the channel it gets harder to keep up. Game mode of LG G3 is broken as per Rtings. It is less brighter compared to other modes, may be for bringing down the input lag. Hopefully LG may patch it.
@pavanakumar270187. Hey, thank you for the comment and for checking out the video. Yes, I've heard from several others that specifically game mode was not working compared to other uears.but not as far as brightness goes. More so on the game.menu end. For example, the preset modes within the game menu were not accessible but that was fixed and a few other things too. With that being said, it seems like they are saying it's broken brightness wise because it's nit as vibrant as the S95C which is a qd oled. But when let's say comparing the new LG with the MLA TECH to let's say last year's G2. It is brighter them last years g2 game mode settings/game optimizer. I.have both the g2 and the g3 and I can say they are about the same smoothness and response time wise. But the g3 can get brighter in game mode over the g2.
The specific G3 difference/issue in game mode is 'Colour Booster' is disabled. This is however active in all other picture modes. There is no fix for this. It's disabled to reduce input lag. So you cannot enjoy the full brightness of colour that other picture modes have. But, you could play games in other picture modes and enabled ALLM. This work around does mean though you can't use HGIG. If you value accuracy, you will want to have HGIG available so HDR works as best it can. But then if you value accuracy, you would not be playing with DTM active either. So really, I think this just comes down to options vs gaming experience. There isn't really a clear "this TV is overall better for everyone".
Oh one other thing...what about the hdmi over ride in the secret menu, 1113111 and put it in BT2020. Wonder what that would do, also you can change from v2 to v1 at the bottom, v1 gives extra brightness, and the max cll and that stuff, set at 1000,4000,10,000. Have a go and see what it does!!
Why does the Samsung S95C look like it has a pink tint? Also, I've read that QD-OLED's are more susceptible to burn-in than the LG models? Is this true?
@devastatir9412. Thank you for the comment and checking out the video. I apologize for the late reply. I think per Rtings they rate the LG G3 the best tv for preventing burn in.
Not yet. I have a ps5, and Mk11 looked bad compared to GOT. I couldn't fix the way it looked, and then I found Plasma for gaming channel that you can connect your pc to fix washed out colors and shadow crush on certain games. I just thought if Im going to get a pc to fix these issues with windows 11, then I thought I might as well pc game. I will wait for the next gen consoles to come out to see if they still have hdr issues. If all is good, then I will stay with consoles, but Pc gaming from research seems a better match with oled and qdloed to get your gaming experience to its full potential.
@@consumerreview2k after watching a few calibration videos, the tv is spectacular in every way. A very well made purchase and the best tv I've ever had.
Yea, that's what I said last year and bought the A95K, but the a95k had horrible motion processing. The judder control to max and still not good. And the input lag while gaming wasn't good either. Ever since they started with this new cognitive processor its been a processing nightmare. Too much ai processing causes those issues. Hopefully, they will fix that this year, but it doesn't look like it
@@consumerreview2k yeah it’s pretty on par for motion, I have the lg c1 and I’m not seeing much difference. What I’m noticing is how much softer images are on the c1 and s95b compared to a95k. I game a majority of time on the ps5 and it pretty much gives it a huge resolution boost when choosing the performance mode 60 fps on console. No more choosing between resolution 30 fps or performance 60 fps. 30 fps on any oled is horrible, until the console can push 4K 60 then Sony tv is great. The clarity difference is insane. Games look completely different on the Sony than on LG C1.
@@consumerreview2k yeah you had to figure the sony out for motion, I find it better than the LG. I watch a lot of golf which is one of the hardest sports for oleds. You need to have both cinemotion on high with smoothness on 1 or 2, it’s better than de-judder on 3 on my c1, I got this thing on lock.
Imagine a LG oled having qd-oled tech implemented into their display, it would annihilate the samsung tvs especially with their superior image processing compared to the Samsung'a set
@representtj12. How are you doing? Thank you for the comment and for checking out the video. Oh man, or even if LG can change their woled tech and into a different type that they create themselves to have the same effect all while keeping the MLA implemented. They would run the show. The processing is grade A, for sure. Definitely at Sony level and sometimes even better, especially in the gaming department.
Great Comparison and commentary! I really like the S95c, but I couldn't get past the frustrating quality of life stuff and found the experience buggy, it may be "better" than the G3 but if it's not night and day "better" then I think i'd prefer the G3 simply because I'm used to LG and it provides a lot more picture controls that I know how to use. I felt the Samsung was limited in terms of settings - for example LG lets you pick your Color Temp between Warm/Blue 0 - 50, while Samsung only has Warm 1, 2, Cool and Standard. So I always had a hard time getting the exact temp that I liked. Now the drawback to LG is, with all the options I find myself playing with settings more than simply enjoying my TV, like I do with the S95c. I also had issues with upscaling and aggressive ABL. It was frustrating, in the mornings tv looks super bright and gorgeous, but a few hours later it wasn't much better/brighter than my old G2. Plus I watch TV and Movies 70 percent of the time and use DTM for gaming. So I've never had an issue with gaming on LG.
@MichelelleAlexandria-EM. HEY, it's really nice to hear from you again. Thank you for the kind words. So can I please ask you. Does that mean that you owned the s95c and exchanged it for a g3?
I have both, and I think that the S95C is slightly better overall. However, if you're coming from LG, my recommendation is to just go with the G3. You can't go wrong either way :)
@CinemaPunk. Thank you for the comment and checking out the video. Do you mean pushing red as like a red tint on the overall picture or pushing red on the red specific red colors in the game?
@xen9235. Hey thank you for the comment and checking out the video. I'm a fan of samsung, Sony, and lg. They all bring something different into the ownership experience. And they definitely have their own advantages over one another.
@@DrunkenRhinoceros i meant to say, i have s95c, and I personally never notice the pink tint, i think you notice when comparing side by side with other tv, same with lg g3, lack of color volume & greenish tint, you will only notice it comparing side by side.

And I go way back to 2016 for lg oleds specifically. But everyone uses tvs differently, so you can't take it from just a single person. I think it was smart to have a heatsink with lg and Sony. It goes to show they care more about the longevity of the tv by doing such a thing, which is greatly respected for me
@scottmarkel7037. Heyy thank you for the comment and checking out the video. Yea its funny cause although the s95c is generally brighter the g3 does have its moments where it's brighter in certain scenes when gaming. Mostly in daylight or whiter scenes for sure
You have completely destroyed creators intent in this video 🤣. Until unless you are putting both TV’s in accurate game mode they both are similar. colors are not over saturated on S95C plus TH-cam are not doing justice to both TV’s . S95C will show more colors because of qd-oled technology no matter what but that doesn’t mean it’s over saturated. If you see other calibrators videos you’ll know G3 game mode is similar as in G2 . Game mode on G3 undertracks color luminance that why also S95C looks over saturated to you but its not.
That’s why these side by sides on camera are useless & don’t do TVs justice. Your seeing what the camera lens filming the shot sees not the naked eye. I own the S95c & the whites are the best I’ve seen on any oled. You have to see them in person to really appreciate how good they are.
@janhucin6349. Thank you for the comment and for checking out the video. It's not nearly as noticeable in person. It's barely noticeable unless it's next to another tv like that of the g3. And even then, it's still not as noticeable as what you see in the camera
When people say "colour volume" in my opinion, it's just another way of saying over saturation by default. I doubt game designers created their games using qd-oled monitors. So to respect the creators intent, for gaming it's the L.G for me.
There are still games that have bad Hdr implimintation, and a lot of youtubers are saying samsung is the best for Gaming for minuscule lag advantage and 144hz which no console has. I agree about color volume meaning over saturation and I know for sure creators for games don't even sometimes design games for oleds. You need a pc and bunch of programs to fix those games.
@garryj6311. Hey, thank you for the comment and checking out the video. I can see the logic in that. The way I see color volume or understand it is how much more color it has versus other tvs. So if they were side by side and at the same color level by picture menu, which one has more color versus the other. This to.me is an indicator of how much more colorful one tv can get versus the other at the same point.
@herewego1067. Hey thank you for the comment and checking out the video. The white balance in the camera is what sets the qd oleds to give a more pink and orange tint through camera. As I like to always explain this in most my videos just like any other person youtube does the same. As far as biased goes, I'm definitely not. I invest the money to own these tvs. I like to just explain things through my personal experience that's all. Sometimes the settings could look off due to the camera exposure and white balance too.
@eman1549. Thank you for the comment and for checking out the video. I think the reason why ppl love the qd oleds os cause it's the first time ever oled tech was taken to a higher level with color volume.
I think it is a valid point about the samsung colors. I have watched a another youtuber, I think it was vincent comepare the G3 and S90c to sony's $30,000 reference monitor and the G3 was pretty much spot on and the s90c looked a it off and over saturated imo. The yellows on samsungs qd-oleds are also way off and I much prefer and better whites and white highlights the g3 can produce. All of these factors influenced my final choice of the G3.
Once again your doing better than other TH-camrs on comparisons on gaming.

Is the S95C really that pink too? If yes this is not for me. What would the reference image look like?
No it’s the camera lens he’s using picking that up. I personally own the S95c 77 & it has the best uniformity & pure whites I’ve seen on an oled. And that’s coming from owning 4 previous LG oled models.
The camera is picking up the qd pink tint in person the screen is pure white and perfect
@xxxxxx4085. No it's not as pink on person. Not even close. The other comments are absolutely correct.
Great stuff man
Go for the s95c thank you ! ❤
I don’t understand the difference in 3D pop and Color pop does both give the similar 3D experience?
3d pop is more field of depth perception.
I am returning S95C - I love the quantum oled technology but the one connect box is crap, produces too much heat that I get dropouts all the time. Are you experiencing the same heating issue?
@Moessie. Hey thank you for the comment and checking out the video. Are you playing on the ps5?
I’m in process of returning my 95C due to same issue

If I were to choose one. I would go with the g3. But that is just me. I understand everyone has a different opinion and it is very respected.
apparently a recent firmware update to the G3 has made Game Mode more brighter. anyone know if this is true? .. watching this video, for the most part i prefer the G3, but you can definitely notice the S95C has more brightness and detail in the very dark shadows, such as at 22min mark... but at the same time, the smoke looks better on the G3....

How do u know whats accurate? Dobyou have a refrence monitor?
@120382brian. I only use recommended gaming settings from calibrators. I don't use a reference monitor. And even so, what I noticed is that even using recommended settings, sometimes I feel like some games look better than others within those recommended settings by most calibrators. And I trust their judgment due to their level of expertise. But there are many times when I personally don't care for accuracy, too. Certain games where I would like maxed out brightness because you want to he able to see the objects better from a far distance for example. So the brighter the better. It's 50 50 for me. All depends on the game im playing.

Game mode of LG G3 is broken as per Rtings. It is less brighter compared to other modes, may be for bringing down the input lag. Hopefully LG may patch it.
Looks beautiful on mine

@mexdrago3009. I do not pc game. Do you pc game on a tv by any chance?
Not yet. I have a ps5, and Mk11 looked bad compared to GOT. I couldn't fix the way it looked, and then I found Plasma for gaming channel that you can connect your pc to fix washed out colors and shadow crush on certain games. Yea, that's what I said last year and bought the A95K, but the a95k had horrible motion processing. The judder control to max and still not good. And the input lag while gaming wasn't good either. @05tsamra. Heyy thank you for the comment and for checking out the video. Yes it is.
G3 best! I see personal against s95c

Son what in your opinion is creators intent exactly?
S95c is bettet tv compare g3
BRUTAL PINK Samsung 😂😂😂😂
Camera. Outside human spectrum.
LG G3 for me
Samsung s95c💪💪 N1🏆🥇
I have the S95C and I LAUGH at this biased review, my screen doesn't look as pink and orange as yours. You 100% messed up the settings on purpose
Sometimes the settings could look off due to the camera exposure and white balance too.
g3 smokes the s95c. Everyone raves about quantum dot. Samsung tvs colors be off.
Im big fan of lg I have 2 lg oleds cx and c1 , but I have to say it looks better on samsung s95c to me
