I've gotten a lot of questions about fitment, hopefully this helps you guys! Get your FORGELITE Wheels and save $250 on them with code "HPO" here: bit.ly/4cHDzJo 👍👍
Compelling video, Justin. The fact you were “annoying” in your research, reaffirms why subscribers believe in following your recommendations……..especially where vehicle control and safety are involved. This isn’t a splash guard review video. Your detailed and reasoned approach in selecting this manufacturer, then actually installing and high speed test (in the wide open destination you mentioned) reinforces the integrity of your research on these wheels and the company who made them. Nice job!
I love seeing all your videos talking about your modifications. I’m making a list for when I eventually get my own Corvette C8, and I won’t let you down. I’ll make sure I use your links to not only help me with the large amounts of mods, but for discounts and contributing on your end of the deal. Those wheels look really nice and I love how you can get custom engravings. That’s sick!
I called these guys a yr or so ago as I got them mixed up the guys Brink of Speed uses. These guys are stellar with customer service and answered all my questions. Total CHADS!! When I get my ride theyll get my $$
Yes, FORGELITE has higher quality products than forgedlite with a D. I've done all my research and would highly recommend FORGELITE over pretty much any other wheel company out there for high performance wheels. When you go to order let them know I sent you to save $250!
Another great video. My advice from past experience to anyone looking to retain as much resale value as possible, keep your stock wheels and for that matter any stock parts you replace. This will allow you to return the car to its original state which is very important, especially with limited edition cars.
I for one agree with you Justin you want that perfect performance wheel then the shop should be able to answer all in any questions you have and it sounds like ForgeLite is a fantastic company.
Great info sir . I've ordered alot of wheels with custom offsets. It is difficult for some to get the idea of this topic. There are other aspects that come into play, like pad height and how large your calipers are. Really like the idea of knurling. Dont think I've seen that before.
I haven't seen that before either which was a very welcome surprise. I love the idea of how performance oriented these things are while also looking absolutely perfect!
I’m looking to get some wheels for my C8 stingray. Do you know the proper flush offset for stingray or maybe they can help me with that..these look really good thanks, Justin.
They will absolutely help you with that! Just let them know I sent you and you'll still save your $250. They know the offsets that fit perfectly with all Corvettes!
You asked so I will ask you. I really like the wheels you have on your Z06. I would like a suggestion on wheels like yours for my 2022 Hypersonic grey C8.R. I want mono block wheels and to keep the current C8R look. Black or something dark. Although I have seen non black wheels that look great on most C8s. Next question. What national company is the go to for mounting and balancing C8 wheels? My Chevy dealers has marked up my wheels with their balancing machine
I would check out Forgelite wheels website and contact them. Tell them what you're looking for and that I sent you. They have excellent customer service so they will help you out and you'll get that $250 off for mentioning me. I haven't gone to a Chevy dealer for mounting/balancing tires in a long time. They aren't trustworthy most of the time. I go to a local place here called Westpoint autoworks. The guy mounting tires there has been doing it for 33 years and guaranteed me he wouldn't scratch my wheels. That's what you need to ask if you are looking for a trust worthy place. Let them know you are VERY particular and if they scratch the BRAND NEW wheels you're about to get that they are paying for a replacement. If they are ok with that then they are confident enough they won't scratch them and that's a great place to start.
Justin, would you recommend Forgelite for C7 wheels? I have a C7 Z06 (w/Z07 package) and stock wheels. I have read that GM stock rims cracked, or we're not true. We'll I haven't had one crack but at high speeds (in Mexico) over 130 the car become almost uncontrollable. It's scary start bouncing and weaving. It's great until that point, which leads me to believe the rims are not true. So I am looking for a good rim supplier. Thanks. Dave
Hey Dave, yes, I'd recommend Forgelite for any car. I'm actually looking at what style I might put on my ZR1 in the future. If you go to their site and request a quote for the C7 they will help you get it perfect. The stock C7 wheels have been known to crack or bend because they aren't forged so that is very likely what you're experiencing.
No, it will be different. If you contact Forgelite and let them know I sent you they will give you $250 off and set you up with the right offsets for the stingray.
I made this mistake and just bought a set of wheels that were “perfect “ offset according to the seller. +10 on front and +15 on rear from stock. I had 20 mm spacers on factory rears and they set flush and perfect to me. Ended up running 3 mm spacer on my new aftermarket wheels which when you spend 4K shouldn’t happen. Thanks for video.
Yes they sure do! Any car you could possibly want. You can still save the $250 off with mention of my name and they'll help you out in achieving that perfect fitment for any car.
Man, Justin, you are right. Aftermarket wheels are confusing. Especially when there are Forgelite and Forgedlite name brands. I guess those are two different companies? I (like you) really do like the clean look of your wheels without the extra external hardware. Based on what I think I heard you say, there’s a definite difference in their qualities. Is that right?
That is correct. Forgelite (without a D) is a much higher quality wheel. They have higher quality control which leads to a much nicer finish and better quality overall.
@@HorsePowerObsessed Thanks Justin. I was able to “read between the lines” based upon some of the comments and your answers on recent videos about the different (but similarly named) wheels and just needed some clarification from a known and trusted source. Thanks for the info. D
Gotta remember the z06 is wider than the stingray for anyone using this for reference. I can’t remember where it wider.. but I’m sure it’s the rear quarter and panel above the rim.. I’m positive that’s where it’s wider
Absolutely. My wheels cost 6k. Starting is around 4k I believe. You won't go any higher than me if you get the same kind of options I did which included custom engraving as well.

I appreciate that, Larry! You are definitely one that gets exactly how much goes in to finding a quality part regardless of how big or small.

I appreciate that my friend! I only recommend the highest of quality parts so you won't be disappointed!
Wheel offset makes a huge difference
GIGANTIC!! It's almost all that matters lol
Sounds like a really good company. I will be getting a set soon. Thanks Justin
I highly recommend it. Make sure you mention HPO sent you to get $250 off!

Thank you! I appreciate that.

100% agree. This is why I haven't sold my stock wheels yet.
Great Video Justin! offset and fitment are super important with aftermarket wheels!
Yes they are! Literally MAKES this car!
HPO, Great vid, Thanks! Are you still using the wheel spacers on the back?
Thank you! No I'm not. These wheels have the offset that make them fit perfectly without spacers.
@@HorsePowerObsessed I'll bet that took some time to calculate in the buy.
I for one agree with you Justin you want that perfect performance wheel then the shop should be able to answer all in any questions you have and it sounds like ForgeLite is a fantastic company.
They are 100% it!!
I had Forgelite make a custom set for my 2020 GT 350 HE in 20”. Those guys were awesome to work with.
Agreed! Great company with excellent quality wheels.
Justin,
Those wheels are 🔥🔥🔥 man!
Gotta love high quality products, great customer service, and weight savings too 💥

car looks great!! ❤❤
Absolutely love these wheels and weight savings is awesome!
Thanks! I’m loving them!
The right offset is absolutely key for getting the best look.
100% agree!

What size tires did you go with
Who ended up mounting the tires for you?
West Point auto works on Monroeville
Is that where you went before? I’ve seen them recommended somewhere recently…
@LT4POWERED yes, I’ve gone there a few times now.
I got a 23 C8 stingray with z51. does +29 front and +22 work on stingray too?
No, it will be different. If you contact Forgelite and let them know I sent you they will give you $250 off and set you up with the right offsets for the stingray.

You’re very welcome. Offsets are a real pain to understand but thankfully in my situation I didn’t really have to do much to get it right!
Do you notice any more rocks hitting the car with the wheels flush ?
No I haven't but I also have PPF and XL splash guards in the front to stop that kind of thing from happening.
Sounds like a great company to do business with!
They were great to work with!
Do they make ZR1 rims and Z06 rims for C 7,s that look like the oem.
Yes they sure do! Any car you could possibly want. You can still save the $250 off with mention of my name and they'll help you out in achieving that perfect fitment for any car.

I got an email that shows the 2024 corvette build. No ZR1’s to be built. How can I email you what I received from GM?
All the best
Mark
What do you know about future ERay allocations for 24?
I know of a dealership that can get you one pretty quickly for 10k over. If you want to do it email me at Horse.Power.Obsessed@gmail.com
👍 well done my friend!
Thank you 👍

Do you use compressed air or nitrogen in your tires
Just air. There really isn’t an overly compelling reason to use nitrogen until it’s more readily available for use in tires.
Justin, can you give a ball park figure of a starting point cost? This is real info that would help, if you don't mind.
Absolutely. My wheels cost 6k. Starting is around 4k I believe. You won't go any higher than me if you get the same kind of options I did which included custom engraving as well.

Carbon fiber will be so nice. But looks so sexy Z06 C8 Corvette Still Champion. 🏆
