I have the Racing Red 2009 Buell 1125CR with 12K miles on it and I absolutely love it. I bought it and the stator and rotor needed to be replaced amongst other things such as the water pump. I found a mechanic that is basically a Buell encyclopedia and has assisted me through the process. All and all, this is an amazing bike and highly recommend it. It is a pleasure to see so many others enjoying this bikes.
@@mattstonington1 if I buy the 08 1125r with 10k miles on it I am currently looking at thinking about buying..... I may very need to know the mechanics name and contact info as well
Thanks for watching and the kind comment James! I enjoy motorcycles and try to keep about 10 different bikes at a time. I then sell one and buy another just to enjoy something different for a while. I have sold many good ones. This Buell 1125 CR is a good one!
Nice review of a great bike. I have an 09 as well with 7K miles. Love it. You didn't mention the common charging and stator burn out issues with these. So, I'm wondering if your bike has had any upgrades (stator, regulator, rotor, etc) or indication of voltage problems. Mine has the Harley harness fix, but I'm going to change the stock regulator to a series one to avoid future problems. Sorry for the long comment... Hey, enjoy your ride and have a nice Christmas.
Hi, I am looking at a used 2008 1125r with 10k miles for $2900.... whst kind offer should I give on the one I am looking at? 10k miles kinda scares me it is probably fixing to needs some serious servicing? How much should I offer for the bike or run from its mileage and lack of repair shops? I doubt the Harley shops would touch it... Memphis etc...?
@@mattstonington1 matt... I may need the same info if I buy the 08 1125r with 10k miles on it I am thinking about buying...pm me the info if the vlogger sent it to you...thanks buddy

The 1125 is a great example for real world weight. I have no idea where the often published weight of 375 comes from. My 2008 R Model scaled 460 with about a half tank of gas. The weight savings by modifying the exhaust is another number often published but seldom confirmed.
Where would you say the power is? Do they have good power down low and midrange or is it mostly top end like a race bike? I used to own an xb12r and I didn't like the way the motor responded in the sense you always had to be in the right gear. You couldn't just roll around a roundabout in 3rd or 4th and smooth throttle out, it would probably throw you off or konk out. Nice video.
This bike sucks around town. You can’t find the right gear and you have to keep your eye on the temperature and voltage as soon as those big fans turn on.
@@gregoryhungerford6712 The 1125 Buells do have some cooling issues that you need to be aware of. However, these Buells with the Rotax 1125 motor are one of my favorite Buell models. I love my 1125CR. No bike is perfect but the positives of the bike out way the negatives many times over.
I am looking at a used 2008 1125r with 10k miles on it for $2900... what should I offer for it being so many miles? Most video's on this bike everyone has low mileage 2k or less... 10k makes me think some major service is fixing to be due on the one I am looking at? And I don't know of any Rotax bike repairs within 300 miles in any directions of Mississippi.... these are very much like Ducati 1198S or Aprilia RSV Mille R 1000 cc's bikes... nearest shop is TX, GA or Florida

This thing has power everywhere! It is a very strong motor with a lot of low end and high end power.

Can you readily get new drive belt and how hard is it to change?
You can and it is not really that bad. Figuring out how to jack it up can be a problem for some.
I really want this!
My '09 CR just turned over 12K miles
Cool!
Is yours kind of noisy? Possibly cam chain issue? Any info would be appreciated
That is the nature of the Rotax. They are very noisy. Add a loud exhaust and forget about it!
Not anything more than normal.
So these are water cooled?
Love those Buells!

I guess it all depends on the condition of the bike. They are really great bikes.
Is this bike faster than Kawasaki ninja 400?
It’s a nice 👍 😊
It's Mom Agent Matrix
Yes it is!
UGH. Hate those mirrors and the exhaust just doesnt look right. Sounds great but it just *&^$%# up the lines and flow of the bike
The motor on this bike requires very strong mirrors and these mirrors do not move or shake.
