I hear ya RedArrow73... Pretty sweet seeing some of those old badass motors... Even one of those old Hemi head Pontiac or what I'm reaching out to them is a 10 liter 567 Arias... No more 30 year old cast junk for me.. It's been a long time coming
Yes these blocks and heads are gorgeous BUT..... The real GENIUS or GENIUS' are the ones that designed the machines that carve out these block and heads....
I still can't figure out why you'd take an extra hour or two to mill off 200 pounds of aluminum when you could cut off large chunks with a bandsaw first - such as the space from the top of the cylinder bore to the outer corner of the billet slug. Or cut off from the top of the block to the top of the billet slug. It would save a lot of time, wear on your CNC equipment, and there would be fewer chips to clean up.
It's aluminum, machines about as fast as you want to go, given you have enough HP at the machine and these aren't lightweight engine boring machines, they're full fledged machining centers. You could spend a lot of time sawing chunks off, handling, repositioning or throw the cube in a vise setup, like they have here and machine away the excess in a lot less time.
@@AndyB718 Doesn't change any of the 'billet' properties as the grain structure isn't interrupted. You removed it in a sawing process rather than a milling.. but nothing really changes.
David Allen Most of the motors only run for 30-45 seconds at a time and run on fuel that burns at a lower temperature. Eliminating coolant channels increases strength aswell.
No 4 bangers? I know it's harder to make power with them but I'd just like a High end head for a good N/A build. You guys should team up with kent cams and do some work for the first gen escorts :D
Jesse thinks Dart knows engine blocks. But Jesse thinks Dart should investigate the use of "pronouns" in Dart's videos. Jesse thinks Dart's TH-cam videos uploaded to TH-cam, would be better if Dart didn't say "Dart" 57 times in Dart's videos. ;p
I wish that there was a more in-depth video of the block machining process from the raw billet to the finished block. Nice video nevertheless!!.

Any 2 stroke big blocks?
amazing

Good to know we use computers to bash rocks together.

Be no point in Billet if you cut it in pieces.
Its strength comes from being a solid billet block.
What a dumb comment.

It's just faintly possible the manufacturer who has done this for many years before going all billet might have thought of that.

What is maximum HP for this engine Block?
3000 hp or more
3.000 hp on a small block probably 3 thousand and up on a big block
Nice
Can you produce open deck block
Which weighs more a pound of iron or a pound of billet?
DIG OR DIE PERFORMANCE neither they weigh the same because they are both a pound....
Depends on which one you drop on your foot. lol
@@TheDustyaman really.
Dig or Die Performance:
LMAO ... LMAO ....
Which weighs more...?? LMAO .... Great laugh ... i needed that today .. !!
Thank you SOOO much .. !!
Lol 1 pound of aluminum still weighs the same as a pound of anything cause it's still a pound I get what you was trying to ask but still funny
Does DART offer German blocks?
I'm sure they do.
Nine.
I'm gonna start saving my aluminum cans now so I can take them to dart to melt them down to make me a block lol
At some point i will need to get a price on how much a Dart Billet block with heads would cost then get it built.
No four bangers ?
I wonder how they do deep complicated water jackets, and oil passeges.
My guess is that these are for drag engines and have no water jackets.
They are dry deck blocks and heads that run off methanol for drag racing
So why can't we get dart products in 2022?
Huge missed opportunity, should have read "Think out side the block"....
I want a reliable durable 140 in³ Evo motorcycle engine
but but.... there is no coolant channels?

Some billet blocks have coolant passage.

hard to make power what you on about please my fj20 engine makes 390 kw what you talking about
+sellingstock Trying to find dates on an online forum must be difficult - good luck to you in your quest
DART already has a Honda block, and it's a great improvement over sleeving stock block.
engine porn ... i dont even need 3000 hp :p
i'd have a custom S38B40 please
they should cost half of what they do...hell that would be a perfect world,,lol
Make me 2 please
409 anyone?

I bet you didn’t forget who made them.
