In my country S20, about 190 USD cheaper than iphone 11. Event this is not the pro version. I took S20. Not bad at all. For design, iphone 12 look great for me 🤣
The s20 really killed the iPhone in most aspects wow.... The skin colors alone are ruining the iPhone and I can´t understand how people say that it produces "natural" colors... Zoom is way better, only worse thing would be that SS which is only avaiable in 1080p. Other than that, I´d go for the s20 any day, and it will even be much cheaper.
This time samsung finally going for a more natural color, also in selfie mode you can change the color temperature which will slightly improve ur skin tones if you not satisfied with it. I personally using warmer tone which gave me better skin color for my Asian skin lol

How can you say the front cam was better on the s20?! It blows out your face, and smooths over your skin making you look like a doll. The dynamic range was better on the iPhone too.
1:12 as someone who takes selfies, I much prefer the skin tone on the iPhone you can NEVER get a good golden hour shot on any Galaxy phone sure it's more like real life but the iPhone gives that beautiful smooth skin tone astatic when the sun hits your skin and for selfies I much prefer that over true to life colour but that's my opinion :)
I can disagree with that because I take lots of selfies and during the golden hour its still looks just as good tbh, and u also gotta remember the screen resolution will also make tha difference 🤷🏽♀️

Both great phones. Ofcourse S20 has the edge now cause it is 6 months further but iPhone12 will be better than s20 and S21 will be better than Iphone 12 etc. Enjoy the eco system you like
The s20 is technically an s11. The s20 came after the s10. Samsung isn't ahead at all. Apple is still in the lead in making the latest phones but samsung is already making the s21 so Samsung is now in the lead.

@AuthenTech in case you didn't know, you have 2 ways to launch camera app from lock screen in the iPhone a) slide your finger left b) long press the camera button Double pressing the Lock button has a different function , activating Apple Pay, which is a great feature for those who are using it.
It have the S20+ and it is a monster, especially the best screen in the game. But as he showed in the video, the camera has one major flaw, it handles shots directly into the sun pretty poorly. 5:02 and 7:07 are two examples. It completely blows out the sun and often also the sky. That is annoying because I love taking these kinds of pictures.
You can lower the exposer while taking your photo to help and then go into editing mode and bump the exposure back up without messing with the sunlight🤙🏽
My boyfriend's sister got herself a new iPhone 11 Pro Max and i've been so jealous. I own a Samsung 9+ and i've been eyeing on the pretty iphone design, especially the back part of it. Also, as i love to sing on Smule, the iOS smule offers much better recording quality and effects than the android, hence I held onto my old iPhone 6+. After watching two of your videos (this one for the cameras and the other general comparison - 40 points on pros & cons), I have finally buried that urge to switch to the expensive iPhone (which I barely could afford) and learn to be content with my Samsung 9+. I am waiting for a few more years to see if Samsung comes up with anything else... as worthy as S20 or even better (: So, Thank you so much Ben for such good videos!! x

Awesome review Ben! I've been looking high and low for a camera test on fast moving objects. I like taking photos of race bikes on the track but not sure if the s20 can take a clear image of a race bike moving doing over 300kph.
Iphone 11 has better colors and has the more natural look. I like it better. Iphone may make your skin look a tad 'red' (suntan) but the S20 makes you look like a flat out albino. (like you're from Iceland)

For videos hands down iphone is still the king in dynamic range smoothness and highlights details and wider field of view and better soundrecording also iphone also has 4k fps cinematic video in both front and back and cinematic stabilisation for 4k 24,30 0r 60 fps with hdr.. and all lens can do 4k 60 ,and all lens of iphone has 100 %focous pixcles only advantage of s20 is zoom and 8k but in 8k it uses telephoto lens so it is zoomed in and stabilisation sucks ,basically rhe s20 has only 2x optical zoom same as 11 pro further is hybrid zoom not optical... but in this video front cam video s20 has a lot of over exposure prb

1:51 better camera stabilization and background noise cancellation on S20. 11 Pro's advantage is the quality enhancement which is more warmer than S20 but seems to be unrealistic.
7:48 when shooting super-steady it's using the ultra-wide angle camera and cropping the exact normal wide angle camera while compensating the movement, while when shooting 8K it's using the 64MP telephoto (the narrowest angle camera) because 8K is using minimum 33MP each frame, so it's not about megapixel as canvas it's more about camera angle coverage as canvas. this is the exact same technique gopro using for hypersmooth recording.
Really good review. You tested everything. Is there Hypersmooth with 1080p at 60fps available? The S20 takes really good video. Without laggs, good stabilisation, good constrast. Apples advantage in videos is almost gone now. S20 focus is too fast. Its annoying and unrealsitic.

As another TH-cam Channel - not quite the size of yours, I might add - I've been using a Canon G7X Mark II, but am considering going with a phone, since it's time to upgrade with Verizon anyway. The S20 is quite expensive, but looks like it might be worth the extra bucks. If you have any history with the G7X, how would you say they are comparable?
S20 has a decent camera setup but iPhone 11 Pro looks better overall and video is still top notch on iPhone. Got a few friends and family members who are pro photographers who still prefer apples approach. For people who work with camera for a living pretty sure that’s a good recommendation/comparison
Just a suggestion brother. If u r on android, plz use Filmic Pro app for video recording. Samsung's stock app is inconsistent so better use 3rd party apps.
Thanks to great, unbiased video. This is the only video I've ever seen that detailedly comment on many things including HDR. As you commented, the iPhone 11 has a stronger and more delicate HDR processing, but there is pretty much of flickering. I am dissatisfied that S20 does not always turn on the HDR when taking pictures, unlike iPhone..

i would choose S20 if it has the same colour profile like an iPhone, especially skin colour. i uses social media (stories) a lot, colour profile would be life saver if i uploaded video on worse bitrate (happens all the time when having bad internet connection).
Sub 6 5g, 120hz with 240hz touch input Amoled display, LPDDR 5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, one of the best camera sensors for $1000. S20 is the way to go. I don't care about Samsung's stock camera software, I'd use Google Camera port anyway
TH-camrs made a bad reputation for the s20 ultra. Just wait and see the new sofrware updates to the camera... then it will be a real champ with no bad points. Yes its worth it

Hey Ben, the S20 can’t physically produce Super-Steady Videos in 4k because it uses the 12MP Wide-Angle lens to shoot the video and crop-stabilize it using software (EIS).
My favorite phone was galaxy s4.... But when the edge style started I left and used Xperia... Then iPhone for 2 years... Now sooncgoing back to the fabulous Galaxy S20 ❤👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😄
Every camera comparison video I see seems to have different results. Typically iPhone would be more color accurate, but this video seems to show that Samsung is being more color accurate for example.

Filmic Pro issues with S20 line (generally 3rd party camera apps) kills the deal... Hate to say it since I was doing research on this for the last several weeks! Why Filmic Pro and not the stock Pro Video? Yes, tell me about it, I had S8+, which used to have Pro Video. It disappeared after OS upgrade. I don't hold high hopes that Samsung won't do it again some time in the future, and bring it back as a "NEW" feature of their future lines of phones.

How much Difference is there in Photo Quality between the P30 pro and the regular 6.2 inch S 20 if it comes to Zoom Range 5 - 10 x Zoom in your Opinion ?! my only problem with the s20 lies in the microphone, while many people prefer the good noise cancellation, i dont like how much it drowns out the background, if youre taking a video and its really quiet it will be pretty awkward, but on the iPhone you get the more natural sounds, but like he said, and I said before, at the cost of sometimes having much more wind in your videos, honestly the iphones microphone is my preference though. both are great phones in the end.
Nice comparison, but it seems that you underrepresented indoor shots. I do not know how it is with iPhone, but I find S20 indoor quality with artificial light quite disappointing.

Turn on auto hdr and focus on the sun. Dont just point and shoot.

S20 has a decent camera setup but iPhone 11 Pro looks better overall and video is still top notch on iPhone. Got a few friends and family members who are pro photographers who still prefer apples approach. For people who work with camera for a living pretty sure that’s a good recommendation/comparison
Just a suggestion brother. If u r on android, plz use Filmic Pro app for video recording. Samsung's stock app is inconsistent so better use 3rd party apps.

Thanks to great, unbiased video. This is the only video I've ever seen that detailedly comment on many things including HDR.
As you commented, the iPhone 11 has a stronger and more delicate HDR processing, but there is pretty much of flickering.
I am dissatisfied that S20 does not always turn on the HDR when taking pictures, unlike iPhone..

i would choose S20 if it has the same colour profile like an iPhone, especially skin colour.
i uses social media (stories) a lot, colour profile would be life saver if i uploaded video on worse bitrate (happens all the time when having bad internet connection).
Sub 6 5g, 120hz with 240hz touch input Amoled display, LPDDR 5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, one of the best camera sensors for $1000. S20 is the way to go. I don't care about Samsung's stock camera software, I'd use Google Camera port anyway

TH-camrs made a bad reputation for the s20 ultra. Just wait and see the new sofrware updates to the camera... then it will be a real champ with no bad points. Yes its worth it

I end up using AirDroid and really like it overall. It's not as seamless as AirDrop, but a close 2nd place

Hey Ben, the S20 can’t physically produce Super-Steady Videos in 4k because it uses the 12MP Wide-Angle lens to shoot the video and crop-stabilize it using software (EIS).

Every camera comparison video I see seems to have different results. Typically iPhone would be more color accurate, but this video seems to show that Samsung is being more color accurate for example.

Nice full review! Just that on that night shot of the sofa, kinda feels weird that the iphone photo is warmer than the s20? I thought pictures taken on samsung devices are warmer than iphone because iphone mostly produce more natural photos
iPhone has turned much more warm over the recent years, and Pixel and Samsung are seeming to go more natural, it's an interesting shift
My S7 photos have a proper white balance compared to my friend's Iphone 10. So no?

Filmic Pro issues with S20 line (generally 3rd party camera apps) kills the deal... Hate to say it since I was doing research on this for the last several weeks! Why Filmic Pro and not the stock Pro Video? Yes, tell me about it, I had S8+, which used to have Pro Video. It disappeared after OS upgrade. I don't hold high hopes that Samsung won't do it again some time in the future, and bring it back as a "NEW" feature of their future lines of phones.

Although the Galaxy may have a lot of advantages over the iPhone, I’m just not used to the layout and navigation of it. Once you’ve had Apple for so many years you don’t want to try a different brand lol. I’ve become too used to it. Anyone else?

Hi Ben. I loved your Camera Comparison. Do you mind asking you a Question ?! How much Difference is there in Photo Quality between the P30 pro and the regular 6.2 inch S 20 if it comes to Zoom Range 5 - 10 x Zoom in your Opinion ?!
If the Differences up to 10 × Zoom are not that huge , and the Quality from the Samsung is still decent i would to buy the S 20 once our Shops have open again. Currently all Shop s are closed over here in the Heart of Europe.

my only problem with the s20 lies in the microphone, while many people prefer the good noise cancellation, i dont like how much it drowns out the background, if youre taking a video and its really quiet it will be pretty awkward, but on the iPhone you get the more natural sounds, but like he said, and I said before, at the cost of sometimes having much more wind in your videos, honestly the iphones microphone is my preference though. both are great phones in the end.
Nice comparison, but it seems that you underrepresented indoor shots. I do not know how it is with iPhone, but I find S20 indoor quality with artificial light quite disappointing.
