    Any color scheme on a 580 is great because it’s the best SAB machine engineered to date period 👍🏻

    very nice machine, one of my goals for one of these someday. Going to grab the goosky s2 and get better with that one before the sab 420 or 520.

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Get an S2 and practice a ton once you are comfortable flying that you can move into a 420 than 580. The S2 is a fantastic learning Heli!

    I particularly love the low head speed flying. Do you think SAB will ever sell a DD version of this model? Looking forward to your low head speed flight of the SAB 420 Raw with the RT 420mm blades.

      I was hoping the new RAW 500 was going to be DD but it’s not. I hope one day! I need to get the RT 420s on the RAW 420 and get some flights in!

    Is the piuma an own breed or is it as „beginners big Heli“ as is the glorious 580

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The Piuma is a combination of the RAW 580 and nitro 700. It’s a nice heli. The 580 or Piuma is a beginners heli. Main reason is part cost.

    Man I’m torn between this on 6s or a piuma on 12s 4400 packs… I wouldn’t be doing crazy fast 3d with either

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Both fantastic helis. The Piuma is a stretched 580. If you build a Piuma i highly recommend 12s! If you want a low head speed 700 size heli then definitely the Piuma. If you want something smaller that still flys good then definitely the 580.

    yo jeff how are u doing. I just wanted to ask you i crashed my goosky and was running the 3 bladed head. And i bent the 2 shafts i think but will replace them all, do u know where i can find them because I didn’t find anything in microheli site. But man that 3 bladed head is such a beast, don’t like running the 2 bladed head on my goosky lol

      The M2 head parts are the same, only difference is the arms from the grips to the swash. They are longer on the S2. The feather shafts, head block and blade grips are the same.

    Is there much of a difference between the kraken and raw versions apart from looks?

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Build wise there is differences as well as flight performance. But they both are fantastic models!

    • @_RIL_
      @_RIL_ ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@westhobbiesrc8051 I see, could you comment on the flight performance differences?

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@_RIL_ personally I like the RAW more. It fly’s lighter and better for hard 3D, the Kraken fly’s great but you can definitely feel a difference in weight as well as the fuse while pushing the heli around.

    • @_RIL_
      @_RIL_ ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@westhobbiesrc8051 Oh I see, so the holes in the body of the RAW helps reduce the drag I guess. I appreciate the response! It helps with choosing one or the other. I just ordered a Kraken 580, I really love the look of it :)

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@_RIL_ The open body design and standard tailboom really help with sideways and smack style flying as the air flow can pass right through, it also helps with tail performance in time. The Kraken 580 is fantastic and I’ve flown both many many times! Great choice!
