    I really love how you two work together. It's something special that is becoming less common exponentially.. You two seem to be living your best life and that's amazing. You two and your family are incredibly lucky. Cherish it!!!

    Received mine from RC Going about a week ago. Flown it 4 times already. Love it!!!! Amazing scale heli!!!! Couple of little hints for a new buyer of this helicopter: Rig up a tail rotor ground protection guard out of some bent heavy gauge wire similar to clothes hanger wire because the stock setup allows the bottom reach of the blade to go a little beyond the protection of the tail fin.
    Also make sure the blades are tight enough that you can hold the heli sideways and given a light tap on one side so as to spin the main rotor around without moving either blade from they're straight out position.

    I bought this FW450 heli after watching your video and I flew it very easily for the first time. Also a RCERA C138. Thanks for your nice and clear demo videos.

      Thank you for being her with us. I love doing this, and with Megan's help, it's been a blast, but tons of work. When they're GREAT like this Heli, and so many of the RC Era Heli's - it makes life easier AND FUN!

    I bought that exact same helicopter , it’s amazing , easy to fly and very scale. I did have 1 issue and that was calibration. I had to look up video on how to calibrate it using my computer , it was easy and only took about 5 min . Other than that , it is as advertised and you hit it in the nail when it comes abrupt stop , they should improve that . This heli will get more scale flyers up and flying with minimal annoyance and 100 percent fun . Great review

    You hit the nail on the head about buy RC Heli's or lose them, because most folks I know quit RC Heli's because of the costs associated with the learning curve crashes and associated down time, they simply said the can not afford the hobby based on that steep learning curve.

    • @BrianPhillipsRC
      @BrianPhillipsRC  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      10000000% - we need more interest to get people flying them! I am slightly worried, that people may make the "leap" too early to a "ReaL" RC heli, but then it's on them...but for now, so long as we can turn off the aids, I love these helis!!!

    Had my first quick test flight today with this heli, ive been waiting for something like this for years after having more crash time than fly time on a 'old school' 3D heli 15 years back. Brian, great work on the channel and thank you.

    I can confirm on full size real helicopters that there is a area of strong vibration when spooling up from idle to 100 percent flight RPM. On the Sweitzer 269 I trained on My instructor had it marked on the gauge and always said not to let the RPMs sit in that area and to just pass thru it. All of the Two bladed model helicopters I had in the past do the same. So its normal lol

    You don’t get the same satisfaction of building a scale chopper from scratch with all the balancing,measuring,adjusting and programming. Which is what I fly but dang this chopper is out of the box no learning to fly. Bugga is fun.

    You can convert a regular heli by installing the H1 Auto Pilot System module and turning it into a GPS heli. They sell the unit separately on its own.

    Hi Brian, I was blown away with your latest presentation with the Flywing - Bell 206 RTF Scale Helicopter that I ordered it in a heartbeat after I watched your video. I ordered it from your site at RCgoing and I hope mine will arrive with no issues. Also I added extra battery too. I also have the Flywing UH-1 Huey that comes with the same transmitter and is still in the box, kind of nervous to
    maiden it, LOL.

    I have this helicopter Brian and I love it and what I did is move the velcro to the other side of the battery and then that way I was able to hook the battery up without having to to turn it around for the leads to the rear,,,,,just something to think about. LOVE, LOVE your videos their so informative and thorough and another thing is I used the same velcro because it is so good and sticky and when I moved it to the otherside of the battery I checked it really good and it stuck to the otherside of the battery no problem and didn't come loose. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!

    Hello Brian, So I decided to purchase this Heli and bought the PNP version so I can install my own Spektrum radio and satellite receiver using the H1 adapter cable. Excited to try out this configuration as I am not a fan of the FlySky transmitter. I will gladly keep you updated, but great video explaining the advantages of GPS systems in a model Heli.

    Only issue i had on mine is losing a servo during flight. New body (steep price imo), new servo, and recalibration i was good to go. Flywing ships pretty quick and their customer service is pretty good too. Also, make sure gos signal is solid before taking off, otherwise be ready to fly it in 3d

      I thought it was pretty reasonable, but we had clear skys, and I bet in clouds, it might have taken longer for GPS lock. Some of these "Heli-Drones" are SLOOOOOOOOOOOW to get GPS lock....we thought this one was pretty good OR at least good enough not to think anything of it.

I bet they were scrambling to get bugs worked out, and the factory was like - QUICK, check 100% of these helis...we've had issues - LOL - but if that's what happened, good on them for doing so, since we had a FLAWLESS experience...which is what you should be able to expect from a "drone heli" like this.

    I know people can say it’s a drone and not a “real” RC helicopter. But I’ve got a couple of the OMP hobby heli’s and DJI drones. The thing with the DJI drones, is the proprietary batteries. I hate to say it, but that’s the biggest issue for me. I’m not a skill-level snob by any means. (In fact, my skills need some improvement.). As long as you have those nice chargers, you will always have batteries to fly that Bell 206. I’ve even put an FPV camera on a helicopter, it’s fun. I’m guessing there will be even more nice looking GPS helicopters on the market in the future.

    Love your videos Brian! Any suggestions on how do remedy the wonderfully useless venting of the cockpit? I have drilled a grid of 1/4" holes in the see-through lower windows on the lower fuse. These are the windows just below the nose of the helicopter. The ridge vents near the top of the canopy were only half of the solution. Cheers!

    Awesome video tho ….. seriously thinking of getting this one or the airwolf … hence the request …. Keep up the great work you both do 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

    Not sure if it's just me or maybe my headphones, but I swear I'm hearing the telltale, high-pitch whine/hiss of blade tips going super-sonic.

    Hi Brian just wanted to know if u tried charging the batteries that came with the bell heli 206 with the supplied charger and if so did it work because in the video u u used your smart charger to charge the battery

    • @BrianPhillipsRC
      @BrianPhillipsRC  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, we did after we came in. The first charge was in a HURRY, at 12 Amps ;) (ooops) so we could get the flight in before sunset. The provided charger was fine, but SLOOOOOOOOW.

    Hi Brian, do you recommend to set the voltage alarm to 3.3v for airplanes as well? Or what is your recommendation?

    • @BrianPhillipsRC
      @BrianPhillipsRC  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I just do it for drop dead voltage on a heli, but to be frank, this heli will land at ~ 3.6-3.7 VDC anyway, so unless I were to "cancel" the Return to Home feature, she would be on the ground WELL before the alarm sounded. I also like to have this JUST in case there's a SAGGY CELL...sometimes this will cause issues on lower cell count flight packs, like 2S or 3S, but with 4S and 6S packs, one cell sagging usually doesn't cause a complete failure, but it can ;)
      My "rule of thumb" is that 3.3VDC for PROP planes, and 3.6VDC for EDF's

    • @BrianPhillipsRC
      @BrianPhillipsRC  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can turn it on, but have to hook it up to the PC and do it, BUT you can also just go to "3D" mode and fly it like any collective pitch heli. This heli is AWESOME!!!

    I noticed when you flipped the switch to 3d from gps it lost a pretty good amount of altitude instantly! Yikes! I could imagine that creating a pretty bad situation if the gps signal is lost while you're flying around at a lower altitude.

      I believe you can use them both from the same Tx, but I don't admittedly know how easy it would be. I suspect with some effort, it could be done.

    I have a question! Love the vids by the way. I have an NX8 radio and I'm kind of anal about linking all my aircraft to it. It seems I my have to get over this though , if I want certain aircrafts. Does it come in a BNF version or do you have to buy it RTF and would it be terribly difficult to set it up with my NX8. I really want one of these!!!
