i have a tb60 and love it, its been fantastic to learn with, in fact its taken over from my 550x as my warm up heli, i also fly a sab piuma which is really nice and have just ordered the 580 raw to go with the kraken, will watch your build video as always cause they help alot cheers
@@andre-dx4yw Thank you! I’m glad the build videos are helpful! The TB60 is definitely the best Align model they made this far. I sold mine because I kept breaking main gears. But it flys great!
Man the TB series has to be the best bang for your buck. And really neck and neck can the average pilot notice a difference when flying each model with like for like electronics
Align has always been the best bang for your buck helicopters on the market and a very popular Heli company for a long time. The average pilot would not know the difference in flight between the two if they were properly tune, and set up.
I was considering adding TB60 to my dwindling fleet, until I had issues with my tail drive pulley on my TB70. Been an Align fan for years, but I think I’ll splurge and go for the Raw 580 instead.
The only issue I’ve had with the TB60 other than the crap canopy is the main gear breaking a few teeth (not normal!) but you can’t go wrong with the RAW 580!
I just ordered a new radio system for my helis. Been flying with first gen DX7 since 2007! I have a new NX8, SRXL2 & a remote rx ordered. I'll be using a iKon2 as well. Telemetry is new to me & I'm still using Castle ESC's. Would you consider making a help video on Telemetry? Weather you do or not, I appreciate your hard work producing great, helpful videos! Cheers from Mississippi...
Great upgrade! It’s like a whole New World lol I have done a few videos on telemetry on how to get it with brain/iKon but not done anything with castle ESC as I don’t have a Heli flying castle at the moment but have a bunch of castle ESCs. Which Castle ESCs do you have?
Hello! So I used auto trim for door. It’s on Amazon. I’ll find a link but it has double sided tape so it sticks with no glue. I just cut to fit and put it around.
The TB60 is great except they need to start listening and get rid of that junk BeastX and that tail servo that it comes with is not the best and smoothest servo in the market...if they can fix these 2 things and give us option on what FBL to add to the kit and anyone in their right might to make everyone content with how the tail should be can't skimp out on these 2 critical options...
I agree the tail servo is not the best but the whole point of the lines combo kits I believe is for a one stop shop for guys that just want everything in one box. That is probably why they offer it in both versions. But yeah, the BeastX can go! No one wants them lol
Repair cost, the kraken boom is $80, raw is like $30. Sideways flight on the raw is better as it’s open air design. Unless you’re doing smack 3D pry won’t notice. Kyle and Bert do a good comparison video.
I’m almost finished with my Kraken and I will definitely do that video. The main difference that the RAW is lighter and a lot more open so in sideways or a lot of tail flying you will notice a lot more consistent tail on the RAW but if you are not a smack 3-D pilot. You will never notice the difference in between the two machines other than Cost
Two separate servo issues/failures on new Align kits plus numerous BeastX issues caused me to walk away from the brand. Its too bad, cause their kits sure were convenient, but I guess it served its purpose after returning from a 10 year break.
@@heli_sport Yes sir, I can relate to that. Took the 550X out after dozens of flights and the right collective servo just ran away and rolled hard in and was locked in that position post crash. HLX's are in there now!
I have only had one a line servo go bad, but I have read many people having that issue. Now the microbeast/beastX is another story lol. Very famous for the right roll of death for absolutely no reason. And that is why I know longer fly anything with that FBL unit.
Hello a couple minor questions i have on the motor you are using i see online 3 different lengths of the motor shaft 28mm,32mm and 36mm which one are you using? I also saw online only the motor comes without a pinion but im not sure what motor pinion to use can you provide me a link to one please? And last question which bugged me the most which servo are you using for the motor you only mentioned it’s full sized but made no mention of which model of servo and we know there’s a million different ones 🤦♂️
@@skyforce1983 for which heli? RAW 580 or the TB60? Two different motors. What do you mean servos for the motor? For the pinion, that’s is included in your kit.
@@westhobbiesrc8051 sorry for the RAW 580 I’m on the website heli direct and they only offering the 580 but as a kit and i went to your video and watched 3x i went back online to heli direct and the same motor you are using has a shaft A version B and C but looking at the contents of what’s included with the motor the pinion is not listed as a component that comes with it so i decided to ask you which shaft size and which pinion. Also if you have a link to a website that’ll give me the RAW ARF instead of a kit I’ll buy it that way Btw this is the part number so you see it does not include a pinion SKU: XN40251120L-A Helidirect
There is not much else to be said that you don't cover. I don't like gears on high performance. The only thing I will add is I think most professionals that have many models can appreciate the pros and cons of all of them there is fun in flying different ones. Ease and cost of repairs can take precedent over all out performance when you're bank account is involved.
Align Helis have always been a great choice for many pilots and many top pilots around the world have flown and competed with them. I’m not a huge fan of the big gear either. Especially because I have already had one let go in about 30 flights. So it is something to keep an ion.
I love my Raw 420, my next heli will be a Raw 580.
I have a raw 580, 100% recommended, if you make the jump from 420 to 580, you will notice a lot of difference
You will not be disappointed! The 580 flys even better than the 420.
Beautiful machines but I'll stick with the raw 580
You cannot go wrong with the 580! Absolute beast of a helicopter!

@@westhobbiesrc8051Absolutely true! I love the SAB Helis👍🏻 great product!
My 12sTB60 on Rail 626s flies incredible. Align quality is definable stepped up on the TB models. (Minus the canopy)
Are you able to run 5000mAh 12s packs with the longer blades? Or do you still use 3300mAh packs?
Yes you can if you want. . I use 12s 3000 and get plenty of power and great flight time.
Good video sir,I like that raw 580!
