I was told this: "The boiler is slightly overheating. We believe it's the plate heat exchanger but we do not change them on Worcester boilers because of the lack of access. You can change the plate heat exchanger but it is not guaranteed to solve all problems and it will involve taking the boiler off the wall and apart in order to change it. It is probably better to consider changing the boiler at this point." My boiler is 11 years old and it is a Worcester Bosch Junior.
Nice tip, removing the cold pipe. Don't t suppose you've got any tips that may assist in changing a plate on the newer Worcester si compact boiler? These are a pig to work on

@@janegreen191 it’s all preference. If you can afford to replace then fine. If not a repair could be 3/400 pounds
