It's a shame they can't figure out that there needs to be a huge benefit to using bolt action/slow fire rate snipers. None of the S-Tiers feel like sniper rifles to use, and neither do many A-Tiers. The Skullmasher is really a shotgun. The Sandhawk is really an assault rifle. The Complex Root is just something else entirely. The Wedding Invitation and the Unseen Threat are still my favorites because you still use them like actual snipers. And if you build around them, they still do work.
A well rolled purple diamondback really feels like the best sniper you can get that actually is s sniper and not a wacky AoE deployer or expensive assault rifle
@@ConstantCanadian personally I vibe with the diamondback more, it hits a good damage/fire rate ratio as well as a good balance on all other stats. And frankly there are unique and legendary jakobs snipers that can fit the bill for "normal sniper" where there's not many for dahl
I've always been disappointed that the Unseen Threat didn't get an alien barrel. It's gimmick is right in line with what I'd expect from an alien barrel, and it'd just be dope if it had one. If they could give the mutant, the utter disgrace that it is, an alien barrel as a non-elemental Jakobs AR, then they could have given the unseen threat one and made it that much more of a sight to behold.
I'm currently using a firestorm and it's OK but I prefer the electricity version although I have noticed the firestorm sometimes puts out the balls of electricity that chain to enemies. Strange that!! I have used the Sandhawk a lot with Moze so I don't have to worry about ammo and the Root is probably the best in the game but it kills me more than it kills enemies.....
Yes, Skullmasher definitely belongs in S tier. I much prefer to mob with Skullmasher on Flak than Complex Root. I then switch to Sandhawk for bosses that don't have minions
@ConstantCanadian Reflux for mobbing/ bossing and Monarch for bossing is the most efficient flak load out I feel but there's something about the satisfaction/reward of your own aiming skills (sometimes hip fire) with Skullmasher and seeing your enemy and his neighbors, and their cousins, and all their neighbors, all explode from your 1 headshot kill. I needed to re-install B3, it's been too long
I think Krakatoa should be S easy kill any non-matching element mob and badasses :) I was never fan of Magma\ Volcano but Krakatoa maybe of my favorite sniper rifles
good vid. only critiquei have is not explicitly stating the the krackatowa and the complex root only activate on a critical kill or hit respectively as far as I remember (witch I suppose someone could figure out if they didn't know, and maybe u did mention it and I missed it.) ps I believe the storm also work similarly.
Agre with the S tier for the Complex Root but not mentioning the absolute devastation that sniper does with an Eraser Zane build and instead highlithing Amara is downright criminal. Eraser Zane makes that sniper a raid boss killer and it can wipe out an entire map of enemies with one or two shots. Zane is the better VH to use that sniper hands down.
0:50 you dont need to swap, you can just aim in, depending on which mode you have selected, the ADS will do the opposite, im confused as to why you got this wrong??
I didn't know this either and I've played thousands of hours in BL3. I haven't used every weapon in the game though so it's easy to see why I don't know what every one does and even with some research on the Wiki or Lootlemon you don't always find out.
I'm running a Maliwan urad Moze build and have a lot of fun with the Maliwan sniper rifles. They're not always the best in the game but they will kill the bad guys if you can slot them in the right build, I didn't have a lot of luck with Amara and Sniper rifles but maybe I needed different types...... Who knows eh!!
The Malak's Bane not getting scored lower is a real shock for me. The gun has had like 4 buffs given to it, and it STILL sucks! Not as much as the Woodblocker, but it still is twrrible
All I know is that if I get another Malak's Bane I'm going to lose it.
I get like that with the woodblocker and tunguska.
@@Holycurative9610 Oh the fucking Woodblocker yes.
I personally hate the Monocle's almost 15x scope. It can make using it almost nausea inducing with how twitchy it can be.
fair enough, it's definitely hard to get used too

Diamondbacks are great if you get one it's Arm's Race it's an easy win

You forgot to mention the special effect of the woodblocker.
Of it spawning on 95%of the non dedicated legendary drops.
Wedding Invitation is full auto, which makes it even weirder
If it ain’t a sandhawk, it ain’t shit.

all of these weapons' special effects work without the critical hit. The krakatoa requires a kill, but the root and storm/firestorm are on shot.
surely you make this a series
It's a possibility, there's like 60-70+ for each other weapon type though

I'm honestly not too familiar with Zane's eraser meta ATM. I've heard very good things about it though

Because it's not mentioned anywhere on loot lemon, and I'm not going to know every single mechanic about every single sniper in this game
@ConstantCanadian you were using it, did you not scope in ONCE while using a SNIPER?😂
I did, but when I'm in combat I'm not really paying too much attention to the projectile coming out of my gun

Lowkey you’re giving way too much credit to the AutoAime and Narp. I would’ve thrown them in D tier.
AutoAime in B tier is blasphemous 😂
This guy sounds a lot like a certain Canadian destiny 2 content creator
Who? I'm curious to know.
Sniper rifles in BL3 were generally terrible.
Aside from the select few that are barely snipers, yea
wat?
I even use non-unique (Droog) and shred any mob easily
They're objectively not. Also the strongest gun in the game is literally a sniper rifle.

@ The complex root is far from the strongest gun in the game, as it is very dependent on who is firing it.

Seriously shocked me too, had to check to make sure I wasn't wearing a re-volter :BeaverLOL:
The Sandhawk is not a sniper! No no no no no! The Sandhawk is *NOT* a sniper!
Lol
This isn't Borderlands 2 bud.
It's an smg that identifies as a sniper.
Denial is part of the grieving process, you'll get to acceptance eventually
yeah man I got you :) 2025 and still when I hear Sand Hawk i think SMG
