This is excellent info. I've just used electrical tape in the right place for the last 30 years as I had old-style glass-fronted lights with angled markings to show which part to block. But I've got fancy new curved polycarbonate lights now so should probably try these fancy beam deflectors, but having to get new ones for £9 every time seemed ridiculous and wasteful. Glad to see there is a more sensible approach.
Because here in the UK we drive on the left-hand side of the road so headlights point more to the left and I was travelling to Europe where they drive on the right-hand side of the road, so my headlight will be blinding the other drivers. Hence, you need one of those beam converters to deflect the beam slightly to the right.
There would not be that much harm, but it could. The EGR gasses reduce the combustion temperature in the cylinder, so it was designed to have a lower combustion temperature. Without the EGR it will run a little bit hotter. Whether this is detrimental is difficult to tell.

Great idea! I drive to France from UK a few times a year and get fed up with buying these every time. Thanks!
Nice useful tip ! Makes one wonder if the manufacture used that sh1t glue on purpose to people would have to buy new ones all the time
It is like with everything, you have to buy more or the newest thing.
I love your videos!
Excellend video. Tjanks a lot.
By the way di you know what the most common engine fan not working problem is on Peugeot partners ?
There is a fan relay that fails on the engine fan. That is the most common problem.
I would be interested in knowing why you have to use those in the first place?

I randomly stumbled on this video. I came to the comments to ask the same thing.
I love finding interesting things by accident
