There is no way that this was done in 5 minutes and besides there are a lot easier ways to accomplish this task.
This is not good. The plastic is still foggy and as soon as the wd40 wears off, they will look awful.....I personally. would never use this process....

I guarantee Mothers Mag and Aluminum polish works the fastest and best for restoring and cleaning head lights. It will last for month. Just put some on a clothe, rub it on and wipe off. Less than 5 minutes. No need for sanding .

Hello, excellent video. A question: what is the gel you use at the end of the video? I suppose that due to TH-cam's advertising ban you can't show the packaging well, but I don't see anywhere what type of gel it is. Could you clarify it? When you go to all this effort you then need to clear coat it otherwise it just comes back quickly.. all headlights are clear coated to protect from uv damage so if you don't do that after cleaning then whats the point ..😂

Так он решил схитрить, побрызгал в конце маслом и натёр! Через 2-3 дня масло испарится и фара снова будет мутная. Есть много всяких полиролей, которыми можно всё отполировать безо всяких наждачек. Ролик - в топку!

I'll stick with my McGuires headlight cleaning kit. Also WD 40 only lasts a few weeks. McGuires lasts for months. Don't waste your time! The Mc kit will do 6 or 8 cars for 20$. Db

I saw a video like this but he used Golgate tooth paste and sandpaper only he didn’t use Coca Cola and acetone, other video used sharp blade to remove the outer hazy layers and used water and I think that is a good method because he removed the damaged layers and then made polishing with sandpaper and water and the result was same as with other

Good recipe for anyone with allergies to water & soap
Just buff it with buffing machine and a compound use for car paint, you can use a plain water to wash instead of coke, then just drink the coke after the job is done😊

A very good video, very informative. Over here in the UK we have something called T Cut, which is great for body vehicle paint to eliminate scratches in paintwork. Though i suppose a mixture of both will go together well.

It's a job to keep them clean, but the original is the best. Use wd silicone then use cericote it's better.
I agree with everything through the sanding. After that, I would use a polishing compound. Acetone will melt the plastic. and WD40 will make it shine no longer than one day!

I would have buffed it with buffing paste before the acetone. That would have given crystal clarity. WD40 does nothing. Instead after the acetone, you should spray it with a UV clear coat.
What is UV clear coat?
if you gonna spray it with clear coat , why not stop after sand paper 1000 or 1500?
After that just clean surface with silicone remover and apply clear coat. Any other operation is waste of time and make surface less sticlable for clear coat...
아세톤 처리 후 닦을 때 투명하지 않았다.
결론은 wd40으로 인해서 일시적으로 투명한 것처럼 보인다는 거. wd 40 이 시간 지나서 마르면 다시 뿧옇게 됨.

아뇨 그냥 아세톤 바르고 투명해졌을 뿐이에요! 다만 카메라 각도가 달라서 투명하지 않은 것 같네요

Change Coke into Water and you will have the Same effect...important is to use the correct steps of sandpaper .....start with 800 - 1000- 1200 - 1500-2000 -2500 and end with 3000 and Always use water.... than polish to Finish

Don't try, it's all bullshit. The Coke and the WD40 are there just for the bait. As soon as the WD40 dries out the head light gets foggy again. Eventually, very thin polishing liquid will do the job but I don't guarantee it.

A simple way is with Mothers Aluminum wheel cleaner used with a rag rubbing area as it will remove haze making headlights look new again .
As I found the method using Mothers aluminum wheel cleaner with a rag rubbing haze away on TH-cam long ago. Works well❗️
Coke has sugar in it and provides some viscous so sand paper get more grip than water alone.. if we use sand paper along with sugar water ends in same results

Simple wet and dry, no need for Coke or acetone. Use coarse grit down to fine, then polish with a finishing compound.

some of it is dirt but i think it's the plastic being broken down by weathering, residue from road driving and uv light from the sun. i also think the intense light given off by the light bulb itself inside affects the plastic on the inside. i could see it on my wife's car after polishing the outside of the lens. the other thing is the rear plastic lenses don't seem to be affected very much maybe because they are not driving into the wind as the front ones and the rear bulbs are not very intense like the headlights.
Maybe its just me, but i never seen or heard of anyone, put acetone in a can sealed and put flame to it. Common sense tells me, thats probably not good idea, in so many ways, especially the fumes, why not just use acetone itself and properly discard whatever u use to wipe it off with

It will come back sooner than you ever thought ... It isn't a permanent solution. Use special paste and finish it with a clear coat. By the way, Coca-Cola (Fanta, Sprite, Pepsi, Sisi, 7Up) is an acid fluid as long as it contains carbon dioxide.
