      Home! But prefer office every now and then for collaboration
      How can you survive off of just the laptop screen? Dual monitors??

    I've been working from home since the very beginning and I have a new found appreciation for working on-site.

      thank you for sharing! and aw I'm happy to hear that you've found new appreciation for working on-site -- I hope I get there too!😃🤗 I got my first full time job at the beginning of the pandemic so I've only ever been working from home until early 2022 when I then had to shift to being in the office... it's definitely taking me some time to get used to haha

      @@pearlstella I think for me it's the fact that the working hours are defined. You K ow that most of the time, when you leave the office, you leave the work there too. At home the lines are so often blurred that you end up working till midnight sometimes😅

    Hello! I have graduated few days ago from accounting department with a bachelor degree
    I want to be a financial analyst and I don't know how to start!
    Q1: Should I focus on investment courses and take a PFA ( they provide financial Excel) ?
    Q2: what do I need in Microsoft, Excel only or Excel and PowerPoint?
    Q3: Should I take oracle e-business suite ?

    • @pearlstella
      @pearlstella  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      wow big congrats on graduating!! :D I'm not too familiar with PFA, but yes I definitely recommend that you practice your excel skills, that's probably the most important thing right now since you already have your education🙌 Powerpoint isn't needed for all financial analyst jobs but most, so if you can become proficient in powerpoint, that would be a plus too, but excel is def much more important. There's tons of great excel (and powerpoint) courses on linkedin and other places too, whatever works best :) I haven't used oracle e-business suite, so I'm not sure about that one. I wish you best of luck!!

    Hey I got a question, I noticed you graduated with International Business degree but are working in the department of Finance as a Financial Analyst. How so? Wouldn't that be for those who graduated with a Finance degree? The reason I'm asking is I'm studying B-Commerce with Honors and I'm wondering if with a degree in it if it's possible I can work in an Accounting or Finance work. Thanks very much :D

      Hi Rao! I studied international business (bachelor) and entrepreneurship (1-year master), so not exactly the most classic majors for finance jobs haha but I did take a lot of finance/economics courses along the way. Graduated in 2020 and have been working within finance since😃 I wish you best of luck on your CFA exam, I'm sure you'll ace it!

      Hey :) thank you so much! I'm not sure what your background is, but if you want to start a career in finance, I think having some kind of formal education (like an undergraduate degree, preferably in a related field like business/econ/math) and then practicing your excel skills is a great way to start (there are tons of free video resources for that on youtube and other places online to learn excel)🙌 I wish you best of luck!
