hey I clicked around on TH-cam by typing Level 2 help and stumbled on this interesting video. I have a pretty face too and a lot of lady luck in my exams. I just never have to study with my photographic memory. So welcome , welcome...luv Y'aall. I passed all levels of the exam by just showing up. The morning of every exam I take some shots and then can't even find the exam centre. Usually I find a homeless guy to guide me to the exam with the help of a stray dog. I am never stressed because I tell the invigilator I have the runs. I always go to the toilet, to bang one out. This helps. I then use the Fibonacci alphabet sequence to select my answers. AA BB AA BB but avoid C because I can only think of a rude word. When I get my exam results it says 90th Percentile - Pass. Please get in touch if you need some financial advice; I think I'm just amazing. The exam is a cake walk. I hope the comments help this channel.
Whats your education background?
In my opinion this is the worst video regarding studying techniques if you take into account the size of the curriculum, about 3500 pages(it is about a semester’s work including all subjects ). It’s like 60 pages per day of LEARNING (not comic books) plus practice questions. To me, it’s ridiculous! Then again, I’m just a mathematician, I may be just not smart enough. You are addressing a general public. And your message is very not-helpful in my opinion. What I would recommend is to study for a minimum of 6 months, take time to absorb the new knowledge, if it is new to you, take practice questions ( EOC + blue box examples from CFAI if you’re not using a prep provider, and if you are, still do the EOC questions from CFAI in addition to your prep provider’s) and give yourself time for review and mocks at least a month.
please come back! you did not share your tips for level 3
Finance is super cool! Working as an assistant controller you have a new subscriber! 🫡 excel forever!
great. thanks!
⚠️ 🚨 Warning 🚨 ⚠️ This video should be flagged for misinformation 🤣. This girl is an anomaly. Most people will need to study 2 to 4 times longer than she did. 2-3 months for level 2?? Are you kidding me??
You still there making videos??
HI Pearl, great video. When you were studying would you do the Practice Pack for each module once you had completed the practice questions for each individual reading? Or did you save those Practice Pack problems for your review period? Some practice packs like for FSA have 130 questions so they would take a fair bit of time to complete. Would be great to know what your approach was, thanks.
Hello, I've just watched your video on the DCF model you build and do confirm that it is very well done. Congratulations for that. You also explain everything very clearly. And I am comfortable with the set-up and calculations. So if you would like to share your model with me, I would be very grateful. I do not use Instagram unfortunately but I assume there are other ways to send me the DCF excel sheet. Greetings and thanks again.
Hello, in what town and country are you based?
congrats
thank you 🤝
Thanks! I have a little less than a month now to prepare. Let's see. NO NOTES.
Why shouldn’t people be proud of their success if they’ve worked hard for it? Why wouldn’t friends be happy for their friend’s success? Sounds insane. Why do people insist that their government handouts are free? It’s stolen from producers and given to others. SMH
Fake news, click bate, CFAI sponsored video to make people fail and retake the exams more for profit maximization.
I suspect this is a CFA promo video for people to fail and take their exams more and use their material only, so to make the most amount of money. Also, her body language is weird, which might mean she's lying her xss off.
Thanks Pearl very good content!
How many hours did you study daily?
two months? holy shit...
Hey ! HI ! "Welcome, Welcome" !! Thanks for sharing, good luck for what's ahead. I just had one question if you don't mind: Do you think that financial analysts potentially risk their job with AI ?
I ❤ you
Can you tell us exactly how many hours per day where you studying ? Will you working full time while studying 2 months before the exam ?
How did you remember everything while studying from previous topics you had already studied ? Regular revisit of questions you had done ? Any advice appreciated !
From where can we get cfa mock exams
Hello I have them
Hi! Can you please share the topic wise sequence that you followed? It will be a much help. Thanks in advance :)
Can I still be a financial analyst if I don't want to work on finalizing financial statements, a task typically handled by Big 4 accountants?
is the learning ecosystem of the CFA still free after registration? I checked the platform and I can’t see all sections and there are no mock up exams unless I pay for the upgraded study material
Taking a complete financial analyst course on Udemy, I'm going to leverage on CFI/A when i'm done. Do you think I stand a chance to land a job with a certificate from Udemy? Also,is there anyone who's upskilled (no degree) and eventually found a job?
Congrats dear Pearl. I really got emotional to see your enjoyment of the result.
2.5 months omg i thought 1 month was enough
wow 6 figure at 25 y.o. is amazing, I am 27 and working as a Drilling Supervisor in a Government Oil and Gas Company but I am planning to switch over to Finances. So IO have a bachelors in petroleum from Aberdeen uni,uk and 3+ work experience in sales, engineering and even real estate. What will be your best advice for me to swith over to Finances? Masters? Online CFA courses?
Thanks for the vid. I passed the CFA Level 1 easily by just using Schweser. But omg what the hell is level 2? Some topics are not covered well in Schweser like derivatives and fixed income. Plus I’m so annoyed that I keep forgetting a lot of the material I studied earlier on when I move to later topics. Some questions are so intense, like the credit analysis (the binomial trees) or so broad and requires memorization like hedge fund strategies and real estate investments. I’m so demoralized cuz I studied so much and still not able to retain all that information all at once. I’m like a straight A student in college and so hard on myself for not getting this lol.
From my earliest years until I turned 18, I grappled with self-doubt and academic challenges. Despite my best efforts, subjects like math, English, and physics remained elusive to me throughout my school years. Yet, amidst these struggles, a greater trial awaited: from ages 10 to 17, I underwent the taxing ordeal of dialysis. However, within the depths of adversity, I nurtured a flicker of hope and ambition. At 17, a life-changing kidney transplant marked a turning point in my journey, infusing me with renewed determination and a sense of purpose. But the road to success was far from smooth. In the corridors of academia, I encountered the hurtful words of bullies and the isolating silence of indifference. Yet, I refused to be defined by my setbacks. Instead, I transformed them into stepping stones, each hurdle propelling me closer to my dreams. Today, as I reflect on the trials I've overcome, I am filled with gratitude for the resilience that sustained me. With unwavering support from loved ones, I navigated the darkest of nights, emerging stronger and more determined than ever. My journey, though marked by challenges, is a testament to the power of perseverance and the resilience of the human spirit. And as I set my sights on a career in finance, particularly in pursuing my dream of becoming a CFA, I do so with a heart full of hope and a steadfast belief in the boundless possibilities that lie ahead.
Hii is there any material to start with ?
thank you girl!!
Hi Pearl! I'm L2 candidate and wishing you all the best from Peru! enjoying your content :)
Stop watching after wellcome-wellcome opening 😂
I started to prepare in February, but took it seriously only in March. Now I only have a month left until my exam in May. I’ve covering all the readings, quizzes and Qbanks in Kaplan. I realised that I achieved only 50% of the whole test. Now im worried that I can’t finish the rest till the real exam date. What would suggest in my case, how to use Kaplan effectively?
Thank you, I am huge note taker and it has honestly been time consuming. I hope things work out!
