    Hi 👋🏿 i like your videos and the welcome dance 🤣. I want to know; what was expected of you day one and how much training did you receive for your job? I have a potential entry level offer and want to know what to expect if I accept.

      Hi Elandrous🤗 Thank you so much and congrats on your potential job offer!! When I joined, it was expected that I had strong Excel skills and a good understanding of valuation modeling and the financial statements, but I was not expected to have any energy industry knowledge at all. For my first two months, I worked alongside a more senior guy from my team who taught me all the company-specific and industry-specific knowledge I needed and there would also have been some time for me to brush up on my excel skills if needed. My experience is that companies usually allow for 2-3 months of "getting up to speed" for new employees before they're expected to provide full value. Employers also tend to encourage the new hires to ask as many questions as they can in their first couple of weeks/months to learn faster. They definitely don't expect you to know everything in the beginning. Hope this helps, I wish you best of luck!🙌

    As someone who is graduating in December with a degree in Finance, I hope I can land a job hopefully in a junior/associate with a focus in financial/investment role. But like you said in your video, the world is super crazy right now so who knows what will happen.

    Are there any job vacancies at your company now? What's the company's name?

    • @pearlstella
      @pearlstella  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just for privacy reasons, I don't share the company name, but yep, my company (and most of the similar companies) are pretty much always hiring :D
