The Discovery was wonderful. If you look back in our channel we sailed on it a year and a half ago and there's a full Vlog series on that ship as well. You will have a wonderful time! 🛳️☀️
I love your videos and your channel so much! I find your content really helpful and interesting to watch. And you guys seem like the most wholesome couple ever. I'm planning on taking my first cruise to Alaska next near with my partner - which cruise line would you recommend? Lots of love from Australia!! xx
That is very kind of you to say and we're glad you've enjoyed the channel! If you're looking for more of a family experience with more kids and things like water slides family activities go-karts etc. Then I would check out Royal Caribbean or NCL. If you're looking for a quieter, more mature crowd and a bit more of our relaxing experience, then I would check out Princess or Holland America. We've had a great time on all the ships, they just all provide a little bit of a different experience. Princess and Holland America would probably be the most similar.
Hello, new to your channel and am really gravitating to your vlogs. We have a planned voyage on the Crown Princess this coming May and we're also going to Alaska. Quick question. I am observant to the disembarkation at Juneau on this video and noticed everyone exiting a metal set of stairs. What do they do for passengers who are on wheelchairs, mobility scooters, etc.? Any idea? By chance did you notice a ramp (for ADA) at the Mendenhall Visitor center or only the steep set of stairs?
I'm glad you're enjoying the videos! Disembarking in Juneau, I believe they had a ramp lower down for those who need it and if I remember correctly they had an elevator at Mendenhall glacier to get up to the visitor center. But I could be wrong. If anyone else watching remembers please comment below.
@@NorthernVikingExplorer OK, thank you. Moving forward, when recording future excursions and Princess Cruise trips, will you kindly be mindful to shoot a quick glance for ramps and such for people who will need it for mobility scooters? I am sure that it will be helpful for other folks in need as well. I appreciate it.
Hi ! Just found you and I am binge watching. We are cruising on Princess to Alaska late May, so I’m watching how you’re dressed. What time of year was this Alaska cruise ?
Thank you! Glad you've been enjoying the videos. This was the last sailing in July going over into August. We've always gone in the summer so I'm not sure what the weather will be like in May. But it'll probably be colder than our sailing. I recommend bringing a raincoat. Regardless of the weather, I'm sure you'll have an amazing trip. 🛳️☀️
Thank you so much for this! I’m taking my first cruise ever in Alaska next summer with royal princess. Since you didn’t book an excursion with the cruise ship do they make you get off last? I wanted to do the nugget fall hike and then book a whale watching tour with another company but wasn’t sure if we would be the last to get off the ship
Glad you've enjoyed the videos. Because we're not tendering, it was quick to get off. Once they announced it was ready, we were able to head to the gangway. Commonly pre-booked excursions get priority but it was quick.
Loving this series so far. I was wondering if your daughter is an adult or younger child? I have a 12 year old who I know would love Alaska but I am unsure as to whether a Princess Cruise would offer enough for her to do on sea days, etc. Any insight you could provide would be great. Thanks!
Our daughter was 20 years old on this cruise. She enjoyed it but there's definitely not as many attractions for kids on this ship. If you look back in our channel, we also took the Royal Caribbean Ovation of the Seas to Alaska earlier in the summer and have a full Vlog series as well. That ship has tons of stuff for kids to enjoy. Glad you've been enjoying the series and thanks for watching 👍🛳️☀️
I was traveling with my 13 year old daughter (at the time) when we went on a Princess Cruise. At first she was hesitant to join a kids' camp there (inclusive cost) thinking that she wouldn't like it, but once I signed her up, I hardly ever saw her during the entire voyage. She had so much fun with her (age) group. They have several group of kids and are grouped according to their ages. They played video games, ping pong, etc.
@@proudasiangirl576 Thank you for this insight. I know that Royal Caribbean has very active kids clubs but I honestly never think of kids when I think of Princess so I wasn't sure. I appreciate the info!
@@margaretlm You are very welcome. At the time, my other family members were not available to join us on the cruise. Hubby was working and my son was in college, so it was just my daughter and I. It was suppose to be a "bonding" trip for us but I wanted her to have peers to enjoy too. After signing her up for the camp, I literally didn't see her from morning until night. I had to put my foot down and said that we need to meet for dinner each night! LOL She was so excited to meet up with her new friends that she would even skip dessert! 🙄 From what I hear (from other adults), kids have a great time and it will be difficult to pry her away from the camp once she's joined.
Just out of curiosity...can I ask why you're just now posting a video of a cruise that happened 6 months ago? Not saying it isn't interesting to watch, but it's been quite a while since you were there.
It takes a fair bit of time to put together these Cruise Vlogs and I had other projects that I had to work on first. So here it is... Better late than never. 🤣

Juno is a beautiful town to walk and shop around. Can't wait to go there this summer.
Yes, it's wonderful! We always enjoy visiting Juneau! 🛳️☀️
I’m sailing the Discovery Princess In May to Alaska I’m so excited can’t wait😊

Thanks! Glad you've enjoyed the videos. This sailing was the last one in July that carried over into the beginning of August.

This is super helpful! Thanks so much guys. Keep up the amazing work you do on this channel!
Looks beautiful! What time of year is this? We're going in May
Awesome 👍 You will love it. This was the July 25th sailing.
I am looking forward to Day 4 and the rest of your 10 day cruise on the Crown Princess. Is there a release date?
Glad you've enjoyed the videos. I am hoping for this Friday.... I've been under the weather which has made it difficult to record any audio.
Feel better!!

How old are your kids that you took with you? Will we get to meet them?
No, they aren't in the vlogs but you may see them in the background here and there. They are in their late teens and early twenties.
