We were there 9/6. Pouring rain. We decided to take bus/trolly. There were 5 of us, so we negotiated $60 pp RT. Saved us walking 3 miles in heavy rain. Plus it gave us time to do other things in Juneau. We felt it was worth the $120. Nugget falls is epic.

We went in 2022 and the bus was $48 per person. 80-90 is nuts!

That is what we heard from other people who were also shocked at how much they were wanting which is why we found an alternative way to get there much cheaper because that was not in our budget.

And now it's not come and go as you wish but limited to 2 hours. It's an actual excursion that is timed on all tge buses unless you do city bus.

Magnificent view from the road! Are there taxis ? in case you miss the bus.

We checked Lyft/Uber prices and it was roughly $40 to/from the port and there was a number of them that were running so if you miss the bus you could get a Lyft or get off the boat and get a Lyft right away to beat the crowds to three glacier. Bus is exact change and takes cash on the bus.

$90 per person is insane I'd walk too...3 people for us would be $300 for a ride on a school bus. Alaska is going to price themselves right out of tourism soon.

Where did you get your son’s shoe covers?

We found them on AliExpress. He insisted on wearing them all the way there so they did not hold up well on the pavement but they were only a couple dollars so we weren't too broken up about it. But they were great to have for the puddles!
