Juneau Alaska Helicopter Tour & Walkabout on Mendenhall Glacier - From the Juneau Cruise Port

We are on a 31 Day Transpacific Repositioning cruise on the Carnival Luminosa. And one of our ports of call is Juneau, Alaska. We've been to this port before and gone to the Mendenhall Vistor's Center and walked around Mendenhall Lake & to Nugget Falls (see video link below), but today we are doing a Helicopter Tour & Walkabout. We booked this excursion through the cruise ship but you can do it independently if you have the time in port. We had a condensed day so we thought it was best to take the ship's excursion.
We were lucky to have a clear day without rain, or strong winds. In this video we will show you the company we went with (Northstar Trekking), the gear they provided, the helicopter flightseeing over Mendenhall Glacier, the landing on the glacier and the walkabout with their guides. And then we conclude with the flightseeing back to the basecamp.

Bucket list! 🚁 🏔️
I wanted to do a helicopter tour last year in Alaska but my husband and kid did not … I hope to do it on a future cruise!

We agree 100%, it’s on a bucket list! It's expensive and our opinion is it’s a once in a lifetime experience you should do if in Alaska. We know it’s not for everyone, but wow!
