Kirby is an odd title. Even as a kid playing the game boy and Nintendo iterations, I don’t recall having much difficulty. But despite being easy, they were always a lot of fun. I think it’s because of all of the play style options. Wanna use a sword? Slash it up! Wanna shoot lasers? Do it! Wanna be a ufo? Tricky, but the option is there! You can even be a revving wheel of mayhem and destruction.
6:55 Neo Star's theme isn't "forgotten"; it's "primitive". 1 of the enemies is even a caveman. 1st, you're in a jungle, then a cave, then mountains, and then a volcano. It's supposed to be like Earth before humans took over.
Yeah, wasn't really happy with my word choice there. Thought about going prehistoric or untouched, but the gem mine section kind of threw that out the window.
Zero-two is like the progenitor of dark matter, Kirby's Nemesis at the time, but defying death. This game is alright. Some rough edges, but the series has seen some low lows like Kirby 3D on 3DS
For many years, I got stuck on 100%ing the game because of this 1 crystal shard, the one that requires the rock cutter. Because you can't fly high enough to get the shard, so I don't how the hell I was expected to think that the stone hamster could infinitely jump up a wall when I didn't play the games any of those characters are from. When I had tried that power before getting to that point, it had seemed completely useless and not fun.
You know what I don't understand? Why did they never bring the power combining back? That seems like it would be the next evolution of the formula and like it would be in every game going forward, but...nope.
Most major gimmicks only last one game, but given that the copy ability was something they added in and then kept, it would have been nice to see this get the same treatment. Might have been a little complicated to do every time, though, and Star Allies kind of brings it back, in limited capacity, along with the Helper system.
I don't have anything to add to the conversation but this is my favorite game of all time. So, cool video
Nice. Really think they had something with the power combo system here.

Gameplay definitely comes first. Plenty of tough games I like, and plenty of easy ones as well, they just need to be fun.

@@ExploDjinn I love how if you look closely at Shiver Star, you can tell it's Earth. I also love the theory that it's a post-apocalypse.

Was kind of wondering if there was a connection, given the whole eyeball thing.
I have never played this title and have no real opinion of it.
(For the algorithm!)
Appreciate you stopping by.
