Peak Monster Hunter World for me was inviting friends into my room in Iceborne after I had caught the Wintermoon Nettle, well after I had caught all the rare endemic life other than the Molys. One of my friends got so hung up over the Sealord's Cresfish in the pond the others had to go "Dude! Look up!" which was followed by a "OH MY GOD WHAT IS THAT?" when he spotted the Nettle. That can never be topped, because all the time and effort put into catching all those critters was made worth it just for that.
1 thing i love about the witcher hunt is how badass they make our character sound geralt: i didnt see many monsters handler: thats becase my partner is keeping them away we are keeping away multiple monster BY OURSELVES!
I would like to add two tips. First. Before going to Iceborne save some endgame sets for world. Having these means if you ever want to return to some of the base world quests (arch tempered elder dragons and such) you have at level gear sets ready to jump in while maintaining the intended level of challenge Second. I add the fireproof, iceproof, and immunity mantles to that list. Fireproof works for fire and blast and if you’re having trouble with a negative status effect but don’t want to just slot gems to remove that part of the fight immunity mantle is a nice way to get windows of safety (enraged anyone?) while still learning to deal with the different statuses monsters inflict
Those are terrible tho. Lol even with mantle and resistance plus 25 some monsters still destroy you with them on. Glider mantle and evasion mantle are 10x better recommendations. Well, evasion mantle is harder to use so there is a skill gap for that mantle
Doing the extreme Behemoth before IB was a goal. Thankful I got it done with a pro player. That player has been helping me and teaching me cool tricks of the game. I started with Rise and now I have plunged right into World and no regrets!!
As someone who beat the game both dlc and main story completely solo the game offers a great challenge but is more fun with someone to hunt with. (I hate you Black Veil Hazak)
That’s the best thing I feel about this game. You play solo and you actually feel like you’re getting better. Play with a group and adds a little twist to how you play the fight and lets you test out some moves
I hate diablos and deco farming(i eventually cheat decos I want, farming for 100s of hours just to never get is frustrating), new playthrough I again cheat because why should I go through another 100s of hr.
@@Delacrow_l_Chawngthu well yea I get you but that’s kinda what I meant by giving you a chance to try some new combos. But yea I definitely get you it’s a change in playstyle but I still think solo or group the game is extremely fun
I hopped back onto World after Wilds was announced because I never managed to get past Alatreon. I just plain wasn't good enough. But I didn't want Wilds to release without my never having 'beaten' its predecessor. And boy do I not regret it one bit. I'd almost forgotten how much I _love_ this game. Ironically, playing Rise for 700 hours gave me a different perspective on how to approach combat and the skillset I developed actually helped me get better at World. Took me 3 hours of trying, but I did beat Alatreon. And a day of grinding my face against the wall that was Fatalis eventually saw that wall topple as well. Now my hunter is happily running around with the rainbow crystal pendant attached to her weapon.
One other thing that wasn't mentioned in this video is the safi'jiva siege. It's such a fun fight and a great source of end game gear that it's absolutely worth doing a few times to get some gear and practice for some of the more time intensive quests such as fatalis, and arch tempered velk.
@@wisnia030 not true at all. Safi is currently active and if you filter your lobby search for lobbies specifically targeting safi, you will always find a good amount of lobbies. You just have to filter for it.
As a previous PS4 hunter, returning on PC, I’m utterly shocked by how low the achievement rates are for the rare endemic life. I was able to catch downy crakes in low rank and now I’m on the Xeno Urgent and only missing the Phantom Flutterfly and some of the king size fish. While the RNG can be annoying, I missed hunting and collecting these little critters in Rise:Sunbreak.
@@dyinginfashion2558 Endemic Life was certainly present in Rise, but the mechanics around them were different. While some were intractable in World (Vigorwasp, Bomb Beetle) most were just added elements to each ecosystem to make them feel more alive. They could also be captured in the capture net to collect resource points and be kept as pets in your house. Some life forms were rare and would only spawn sometimes on maps and only under certain conditions. Rise also had endemic life, but only as interact-able elements with a single rare species on each map you could take a photo of. You could not capture and keep any as pets in Rise.

This gives you early access to the research commission ticket needed for certain charms, armor pieces and all rare 8 Lunastra weapons. Otherwise you'd have to wait until you reach HR 100 to get the quest 'Saphire star's guidance.' If you do all the optional quests you can get White Winds of the new world around HR 50 or so.
I stopped playing the game at Fatalis, never fought him. Just didn't want to beat the game. Got back years later and there was tons I forgot. I went from beating Safi and slapping every now except purposely skipping Fatalis. But this time, I was playing fresh with weapons I didn't use. And got a fresh experience, will beat Fatalis, I'm half through Iceborne. My first play through was starting Longsword, mid game was dual dagger, then HBG endgame. Now I started GS and going to finish with SnS.
I think that the truly best thing about Raging Brachydios is that despite how many of his Mantle that you needed It never felt too bad because the fight is just THAT good.
Just bought MHW on my ps4 because the disk couldn’t be recognised anymore, but instead of cleaning out my ps4 Capcom honestly deserves the tip. Looking forward for Wilds!
the fact that he is saying raging brachy is the best fight is scary. The amount of time and effort just to beat him when geared properly is extensive. I would say that he is one of the hardest chalenges in the game before fatalis. While you may not think much of him now. You will after spending days farming him to get his coveted imortal reactor part. That you will need for his gear and weapons. Which are some of the best in the game. Since Critical Eye, Crit Boost, Weakness Explait, and Agitator are must haves if you want to pump out damage! I feel bad for the new players.... Him, Furious Rajang and Fatalis are for me the hardest creatures in the game. Not because they are Hard but just because they can suprise you and nearly one hit KO you. Lets not get into the tunnel vision when they just will not relent until you cart.
I have completed Rainbow Pigment 2x now. I've 100% the fame, I just wanted to play MHW then a week after they announced Wilds. Just love the game and was stiked to see the playerbase explode again. Never had Rainbow on PC so I had to grind out my side quests.
This game is a gem, but having finished the iceborne story not long ago, the guiding lands still feels veeeery grindy and really difficult. It feels like once I finished the story, all of the newer monsters like rajang, brachydios, the white zinogre, etc all basically one hit me, and DPS feels like they expect a lot more from me suddenly. I may get to MR 100 eventually but that seems like it will take literally 300-400 hrs alone
You know my first playthrough of world when it came out I never got the Temporal mantle or rock steady mantle until after I finished Iceborne and was already working in the guiding lands. Didn't even realize they were a thing until I saw someone's video and they were using one
There's still plenty of grinding in the Guiding lands. Its only slightly better. Can't even get all the areas raised at the same time unless you put 300 hours in.
Rage do you have a list of the cosmetic event quests that can be done in LR and HR for the new players? They would probably like to know which ones are worth doing.
Pretty sure you just need to do every optional quest for the rainbow pigment. I dont remember doing any of the things you described, if i did, it was pure happenstance.
I also restart with brand new character, love seeing new people and watch them fight. I help a guy that cart twice fighting pukei-pukei today, I 100% sure he didn't know how to use an antidote.🤣🤣

i literally put hours into setting up my house and collecting all of the endemic life and seeking out every single small secret place in all of the areas.
im over 300 hours in the base game, just got iceborne 5 days ago, and instantly started a new chracter, took off all the defender g ear and went straight to the actual starting gear just to rexpexierence the game as intended, mainly cause its been awhile since I played
I just wish they would tell us the rewards on event quests. I hate being forced to use google to learn about the cosmetics and search for the ones I like/are worth grinding for.
Raging Brachydios is named appropriately. He made me rage quit several times. Have defeated him once. Got Lightbreak SwitchAxe and am prepared to never tackle it again. 0/10 for enjoyable experience. 10/10 for the spectacle in the final arena.
i started playing world again and decided to get a lifesteal lighbreak hammer build going and try ruiner nergi temperd and its so fun i love it tho i dont like the endgame weapons there not my style aka fatalis i prefer the blast of lightbreak and safi there awsome broken and satisfying
.... wait what. i just came across some videos about the weapons and decided to reinstall it... and now im learning its popular again i thought i would have to play alone
Monster hunter worlds is finally playable on GeForce now, that might be a reason for the upsurge in player base, I know I’m playing it now because of this and not because of wilds
if i do SAFI(never got to do her) i'd have to do her solo because i play on on playstation and don't have online because shits expensive. so rip to me other then her im coming back to hopefully finally do fatalis and altaron because i got bored when you had to farm MR(we three kings is not a fun quest) so good luck to me
today i do the ff quest both kulu and behemoth,in kulu i died 4 times,in behemoth i died 6 times, but all wort it,after that i kill behemoth again a couple of times to get the set and weapon, take a whole day
My greatest disappointment in going back to World/Iceborne is that unlike in Rise/Sunbreak, Master rank quests do not raise your Hunter rank and the grind to even start collecting decorations is kind of frustrating
Steamworks x10 and guiding lands for fuel make deco grinding a meer joke. You can get hundreds of melding tickets in turn acquiring 100s of decorations.
Your greatest disappointments are really not that big of a deal if you think about it twice. For HR points: Do all your HR Quests/Events, or even better; help HR hunters in multiplayer to support them. You even get enhanced rewards like golden eggs, melding tickets and extra decos. For (Iceborne) decos: Use the steamworks. You get piles of melding tickets to use at the Elder Melder and you quickly come to a point where you recycle unwanted decos because you even have too much attack boost/wex/crit boost decos from basegame. Also simply play the game to get a ton of decos naturally. And if you really dont have enough decos "to even start collecting" but you already are at least MR3; throw together a botanist, geology, master gatherer build and do the event quest "Flora Frostbite". You'll get 100+ decos per hour. There's of course a lot of room for optimization but even the tips above will get you dozens of high/master ranks and hundrets of decos in a few hours.
How about they add Layered armor sets for all armor and make u be able to option them as soon as u have the original set? This would be so important…and also give me layered armor for the palico pls thx capcom
Exactly. The only really important points where the farm upgrade, palico gadgets and the mantles because they really help and are game changers. I actually think this is a bad video entirely since the really important stuff got less time than for example the Final Fantasy collab which is fun and stuff but really not that important for newbies and noobs. Watched some streamers first playthrough and stuff like wedge beetles, slinger ammo, tenderizing, sharpness modifiers, i-frames after getting knocked to the floor and wallbangs are some things almost nobody does or knows about.
I cannot believe you did not mention unlocking the camps. For the love of god, please do this. Nobody wants to join a master rank mission and then climb to the top of the ancient forest from the other three camps just because you couldn't be arsed to fight a LR Rathalos.
This video mentions exactly 3 important things and does a bad job explaining it for noobs: Farm upgrades, Palico gadgets, Mantles. Everything else, even the steamworks is definitely not important for newbie gameplay, let alone those who only own basegame and want to check if the expansion is worth the extra.
Capturing a monster guarantees the same rewards as carving it (3), but you get a chance for additional rewards (0-2 extra), some armor sets can further increase the rewards. You can capture once the skull appears, you need either a shock or pitfall trap and some form of tranqs (ammo, bombs, dagger). Most of the time a monster at low health will go back to it's nest to sleep and its easiest to capture then, just use 2 tranqs and then place your trap on them and they should immediately be captured. if you misplaced the trap just shoot the monster with some slinger ammo and get it to run through the trap. If it still isn't captured by after stepping in the trap use some more tranqs while its still in the trap. If you've unlocked Seliana and the steamworks tranq bombs are easy to aquire, but you'll have to farm the trap ingredients. You can buy the trap tools (required to make traps) from the supplies people, if you use a ranged weapon you can also but tranq ammor from them. Also keep in mind that you cannot capture elder dragons or raging brachydios.
2 things: - keep an eye on the minimap and stop attacking when you see a skull on thr monster - keep an eye on the monster's pulse line(bottom left of the screen,), it's another indicator for when you can capture the monster
I bought this game the day it was released on Xbox one, but never touched it until last week 😂😂 I just finished the base game, and took on that gigachad kulu Ya ku with defenders gear 😂, barely beat it cause i didn’t know about it’s jump attack.. and it went over and straight up nuked a barroth after it one shot me (funniest shit I’ve seen) But that unlocks the behemoth quest, and I jumped into that one with the game shit gear and weapon 😂😂 solo..
Thanks for this great video!
While i already knew some of this stuff its always nice when someone makes a overview of this all.
Just got the game again yesterday after getting a new console and I’m so ready to get back to the grind
Bro I didn't know that this rainbow pigment exist neither that I had it ahah
I dont remember doing any of the things you described, if i did, it was pure happenstance.
its because its a good game not many of them exist nowerdays
This was my first mainline mh game and I'm so happy it was. Otherwise I don't know if would have stayed with this sieries.
#21: fight safi'jiiva (you get some of the coolest looking weapons/armour in the game)
I also restart with brand new character, love seeing new people and watch them fight.
I help a guy that cart twice fighting pukei-pukei today, I 100% sure he didn't know how to use an antidote.🤣🤣
i got mhw a long time ago did not play it much because it made my pc run a bit hot so i stopped playing thinking i would wait till i got some upgrades..long story short i did not get upgrades and just started playing it again because ppl started playing it again and i wanted to see how it runs and i did not want to play a dead game by my self also the game seems to run alot smoother and at lower temps than i remember and im enjoying it sofar ^-^
Im getting all crowns for the endemic life
And i also want to make an actual real handmade bestiary
Raging Brach is from MHGU as well. Wish they would’ve added all the deviants to World
As for someone who has played the game 1520 hours I have done all the above of this
i literally put hours into setting up my house and collecting all of the endemic life and seeking out every single small secret place in all of the areas.
I can't wait for monster hunt wilds comes out. World is were I met a lot of my gaming friends
I did not know about Rainbow Pigment.
Fashion is True End Game!
Omg ! Literally just started heavey playing again 3 days ago what a coincidence lol
Hint: the More laser unicorn u skipp, the better the experience in iceborn 😅
Sounds like cope to me.
I'm curious if the Commander will force you to make more of those "training" videos.
im over 300 hours in the base game, just got iceborne 5 days ago, and instantly started a new chracter, took off all the defender g ear and went straight to the actual starting gear just to rexpexierence the game as intended, mainly cause its been awhile since I played
Uhh hammer main here and new to worlds (and missing water strike)! I have to ask, how did you parry the barioth shoulder check at 1:09
rocksteady mantle
I just wish they would tell us the rewards on event quests. I hate being forced to use google to learn about the cosmetics and search for the ones I like/are worth grinding for.
Raging Brachydios is named appropriately. He made me rage quit several times. Have defeated him once. Got Lightbreak SwitchAxe and am prepared to never tackle it again. 0/10 for enjoyable experience. 10/10 for the spectacle in the final arena.
i started playing world again and decided to get a lifesteal lighbreak hammer build going and try ruiner nergi temperd and its so fun i love it tho i dont like the endgame weapons there not my style aka fatalis i prefer the blast of lightbreak and safi there awsome broken and satisfying
i don't know why i watched this in its entirety since i'm MR999 but okay, great video i guess 😅
.... wait what. i just came across some videos about the weapons and decided to reinstall it... and now im learning its popular again i thought i would have to play alone
I love to beat Extreme Behemoth with nothing but bombs. No weapon just bombs. Such a BLAST
Monster hunter worlds is finally playable on GeForce now, that might be a reason for the upsurge in player base, I know I’m playing it now because of this and not because of wilds
damn didnt know the rainbow color was such a big deal , now i kinda wanna use it in some sets
if i do SAFI(never got to do her) i'd have to do her solo because i play on on playstation and don't have online because shits expensive. so rip to me other then her im coming back to hopefully finally do fatalis and altaron because i got bored when you had to farm MR(we three kings is not a fun quest) so good luck to me
Always wondered how the rainbow pigment just showed up one day. 👍
today i do the ff quest both kulu and behemoth,in kulu i died 4 times,in behemoth i died 6 times, but all wort it,after that i kill behemoth again a couple of times to get the set and weapon, take a whole day
"Raging Brachydios is the best fight in gen 5"
Upset Primordial Malzeno noises
Extreme Behemoth was definitely the hardest. What made it worse was finding out what my well-earned reward was after I finally beat him...
Whaat the layered armor you unlock is SICK
Kind of surprised that upgrading the canteen wasn't on the list...
Kind of hurts to say, but it's just a bad video. Almost nothing in it is helpful for beginners, let alone "important"
How about sunbreak? :(
If I am not wrong, they even added new event quests lately.
another big help was is was on steam on sale for cheap
Must do - optional quests, look at the description and read the special rewards
Without the Fatalis Armour, I could have not farmed Alatreon.
number 11 was my main reason why i started mhw
How about they add Layered armor sets for all armor and make u be able to option them as soon as u have the original set? This would be so important…and also give me layered armor for the palico pls thx capcom
Is it possible to go on hunts with you guys💪🏼?
awesome vid
Going back and aiming for the platinum
If you have capture enough monsters you can hunt kiren in low rank
Spent 2000 hrs in total on the ps4 gotta say fashion and pet hunting is true endgame.
Ive gotten to the point where im almost done collecting every mini/large gold crown endemic life. Thats the true endgame😂
Totally missed out on the treasures you can collect from the different cat tribes after swapping all your valuables away for poop
Most of this isn’t really important to do it’s just go experience fighting theses monsters. The garden is important for example.
Just wanna say after over a year I FINALLY beat fatalis 🔥
The Commander is going to have a time with newcomers it seems.
Thanks for this video, I just started mhw after watching your videos and Asmongold videos
Im going through the game again but switched from gunlance to hunting horn doot doot
do you guys have tips on capturing? ive been winging it and accidentally killing dem. also do capturing give more rewards than killing?
Yes they give more rewards
And two tips is to look for a skill icon on the monster that means its calturable and or its limping away
@@crispyplayzthetoxixtoxic7604 you mean to say "skull" easy typo lol
2 things:
- keep an eye on the minimap and stop attacking when you see a skull on thr monster
- keep an eye on the monster's pulse line(bottom left of the screen,), it's another indicator for when you can capture the monster
I jumped back in due to finally having a computer good enough to then run mods
I bought this game the day it was released on Xbox one, but never touched it until last week 😂😂
I just finished the base game, and took on that gigachad kulu Ya ku with defenders gear 😂, barely beat it cause i didn’t know about it’s jump attack.. and it went over and straight up nuked a barroth after it one shot me (funniest shit I’ve seen)
But that unlocks the behemoth quest, and I jumped into that one with the game shit gear and weapon 😂😂 solo.. (cause I can’t find ANYONE To play with on Xbox)
I fainted a few times but ended up beating the behemoth with crap gear, solo, so it’s def possible for the average player before doing iceborne (as intimidating as that into scene to it is)
(Also the Witcher 3 was a brilliant game and I was soo stoked to see the crossover event in it. seeing how they integrated some of the witchers abilities was really cool 👌(def need to use sword and shield to see it)
Any tips for Kushala Daora, I just beat Vaal Hazak
bring flashbangs!! 😅
9:40 uh yeah about that no thanks im not into that
