lmfao. the comment about saying "I hate this fight" is so insanely accurate. Yeah, it's not every fight, but I find myself saying similar stuff every now and then, yet I keep going back to it.
Yup! Played sunbreak a year or so ago but never touched Iceborne (Quit before expansion; I was obsessed back then) And now that Asmon started playing it and they had a big discount I went in to experience Iceborne for the first time. 100+ hours added already and hit the biggest wall ever -Fatalis.
As a gamer in general i love the fact that they're including the enmity mechanic as it makes a lot of sense and it's pretty cool. But as a solo hunter i feel totally not equiped to deal with it so it's mostly frustrating to face it, it might need some tweaking for people who are playing solo if they decide to bring it back in future games.
Raging became more fun for me when I stuck close to him instead of keeping distance and getting hit by his crazy lunge attacks. That and not having to deal with his active alone by just shooting it off with slinger ammo at a safe distance. After that, and full blast resist of course, the fight became fun for me
I remember the first time I beat this monster, and solo no less. It was such a struggle, but in all of the hunts I’ve done from gen 3, that was the best feeling victory ever. Best fight
Neegigante was my one true wall the only monster I could not solo(don't like hunting with others, have allways solo hunted) until much later. It felt like ass calling for back up to beat him, but afterward I went back and farmed his ass for full nerg armor and weapon solo, not for wearing, but out of spite.
I've been watching his VoDs and so far, its a fcking entertainment for me its so fun watching a different side of a hunter that only brute forces the game and be stubborn on learning the mechanics, and I started doing this kind of gameplay too lmao, like I reduced using Wallbangs to just intro so i can have time to charge my CB or hit my Wyrmstake to what part i wanted for GL. and i seldom tenderize, I find it relaxing not thinking and just bruteforce it
I think he has the nightshade lumu gs with augmented I forgot the name of it but it’s the one we’re it adds parts to the weapon to change a specific stat so that’s why he got so many sleeps but yeah he dose so well in thies fights
I haven't fought Safi, Alatreon and Fatalis, but Raging Brachy has been the only monster where I've had multiple quest failed back to back. Not even Furious Rajang, who i think is more famous in terms of difficulty, has done that.
Man, I solo'd tempered Brachy using a long sword and missed near enough all its attacks. Never carted once. Not even using mantles. I used the clutch claw mechanics and combo'd them with my normal attacks. He's gotter learn that when he goes up against some of tougher monsters.
I got it first try and moved on. Now I need to farm some armors and I just can't beat it again. I've been grinding for hours without success. That fight is crazy. It's so wild to think I've got it the first try. It was just mad luck.
I picked up the game again and swapped weapons to GS to see what it's like. Already at Iceborne and loving it. I will still main Bow and S&S for Multiplayer tho. Love watching Asmon playing the game.
Just bought this game with dlc and ive never played any of them , i have no idea whatbim doing or level ups but im having a wonderful time , i havent felt this way about a game besides elden ring.
18:21 it was not slime from the arm. It was from that three hit combo with delay and insane tracking that I HATE SO MUCH OMG WHY DOES HE TRACK YOU ON A FULL 360 DEGREE WHYYYY. If you couldn't tell I've been hit by that more times I can count
So at 36:30 i think it is, asmon clutched onto the tail as safi was turned around. It about faced and went for a centered beam attack, while asmon was still clutched. I think the game glitched and thats how asmon took damage there, as the beam was shown coming through safi. 😂😂 Love/hate mhw. 😂😂
i had a lot of trouble with primordial malzeno, even trying to go online i just kept getting teams that wipe really fast, took me 4 days but i did it with 0 good gear or knowledge i just used sns wirebug counter and pray like asmon
I never finished Iceborne, and this return has me finishing it now. I never fought Brachy, and all the hyped had me terrified. It was honestly pretty easy imo. Idk if it just fits my play style or if it's the dual blades, but it was one of the easiest to come from iceborne. Now, Screeching Legiuana on the other hand is a trash fight unless you're ranged and is one of my few real complaints.
something I noticed that would help him immensely, especially during rocksteady mantle is getting the health augment on his GS, on true charges it might as well heal you to full negating a lot of damage taken during it. It also just helps with not taking a toll on your supplies.
I think Asmons playthrough really shows how easy the MH series and other PvE titles are, he refuses to read and is generally terrible at games but barely struggled.
I have a full defense set with over 1k defense, 25 fire resist, full blast resist, full guard and guard up with a defense augemented shara greatsword. I use this set and take my time to learn the monsters moveset in the first fight I ever have with them as I often joke thatnits not possible to die in this armour but the fights will always be 40 mins long due to how I intentionally delay and observe. Holy fuck this fight doesn't feel good at all. I understand the mechanics and find them cool ideas, and I really enjoy how his moveset has changed up to make it even more important to know when to weave in and out, but I'm getting combo'd from 150% health to 0 whether I stay on the ground or not, once he goes enraged. He killed me 3 times and I felt his damage was way overturned for a non-tempered monster. I switched up to my crit draw velkana/barrioth set and beat him in 20 minutes. I can play the entire fight perfectly and then if I ever get hit I just die... I've started helping others on this quest with speed eating and friendship (super helpful with quick sheath) and I'm seeing people getting one-shot by non-enraged moves. I think he is just way over tuned in terms of damage and I would have liked the fight a lot better if he couldn't 2 shot a 150%hp 1kdefense 25 fire resist, full blast resist build and instead had enough hp that going full defense wouldn't be able to kill him. It feels like you just need to kill him as fast as possible and repeat knockdown so that you interact with his mechanics as little as possible. Because the longer you fight the more opportunities for mistakes and making a mistake will just kill you 50% of the time
Even when he asks a simple yes or no question. People were saying "Yes" "No" "Not anymore". It's like...why are there so many different answers for something so simple as whether or not you can trap Raging Brachy.

He really tried solo safi i mean ive seen youtubers doing it but i did it once and decided to do it with people even if it was nerfed it was annoying
Yeah I wasn’t too wild on this boss either. Glad I’m not alone.
This was one of the best MHW:I Videos that analyze mistakes and monster movements, that I've watched in the past 4 years!! I say more to this!
Edit: I have over 800 hours into the game and its the first time I've known that there are I-frames on ledge animations....
I just checked the hunting board, apparently Josh put up a quest to kill Asmongold because he hated Raging Brachdaddy.
Safi Jiiva, solo, multiple hunts to do?
I laugh in your general direction. 😜
lmfao. the comment about saying "I hate this fight" is so insanely accurate.
Yeah, it's not every fight, but I find myself saying similar stuff every now and then, yet I keep going back to it.
Yup! Played sunbreak a year or so ago but never touched Iceborne (Quit before expansion; I was obsessed back then)
And now that Asmon started playing it and they had a big discount I went in to experience Iceborne for the first time.
Best fight
I think first introduction fight with Nergigante is best fight of MHW. /sweaty palms fight
Neegigante was my one true wall the only monster I could not solo(don't like hunting with others, have allways solo hunted) until much later. It felt like ass calling for back up to beat him, but afterward I went back and farmed his ass for full nerg armor and weapon solo, not for wearing, but out of spite.
Asmon is definitely my #1 top gamer ever. He's so good
I've been watching his VoDs and so far, its a fcking entertainment for me its so fun watching a different side of a hunter that only brute forces the game and be stubborn on learning the mechanics, and I started doing this kind of gameplay too lmao, like I reduced using Wallbangs to just intro so i can have time to charge my CB or hit my Wyrmstake to what part i wanted for GL. and i seldom tenderize, I find it relaxing not thinking and just bruteforce it
And thus war was declared upon Asmongold
I think he has the nightshade lumu gs with augmented I forgot the name of it but it’s the one we’re it adds parts to the weapon to change a specific stat so that’s why he got so many sleeps but yeah he dose so well in thies fights
The last attack of Brachys triple headbutt has tracking her swings his head toward you.
I love his description of the game:
“I go between hating the game to loving the game in the span of 10 seconds twice.”
THERE’S IFRAMES WHEN YOU’RE LEDGE CLIMBING?!
now im glad Fatalis doesnt have the same "slime on the ground exploding" thing
Is it a bad thing that I’ve memorized raging brachy’s moveset?
I have over 1600 hours in this game and I'm learning tons of new mechanics watching you review this.
I haven't fought Safi, Alatreon and Fatalis, but Raging Brachy has been the only monster where I've had multiple quest failed back to back. Not even Furious Rajang, who i think is more famous in terms of difficulty, has done that.
When is your his ALATREON analysis video XD ~ that's Treasure to behold.
6:00 That's how you fight it? I just break his legs till he dies.
His legs aren't breakable
@@athos9293 not literally, just keep wailing on his legs.
@@athos9293he means making him trip, if you hit his legs enough he falls over,
GS Rocksteady and a ledge my fav combination vs raging brach
I am a disgusting inferior LS main so my strategy is countering until he is dead, Brachy is fun because he telegraphs so much
Man, I solo'd tempered Brachy using a long sword and missed near enough all its attacks. Never carted once. Not even using mantles. I used the clutch claw mechanics and combo'd them with my normal attacks. He's gotter learn that when he goes up against some of tougher monsters.
I love these videos keep em coming
Funny thing I randomly got the surge to slay some monsters about a week ago now I’m addictive
Solo safi siege is pain and I wish Asmon luck if he chooses to do that. Took me several hours with fatty gear
I have 1.5k hours in mhw and even I didn’t know u get i frames with ledging
I got it first try and moved on.
Now I need to farm some armors and I just can't beat it again. I've been grinding for hours without success. That fight is crazy. It's so wild to think I've got it the first try. It was just mad luck.
Plunderblade / Elder melder are your best friends. This monster is such a pain to fight i'd just rather cheese it
the last episode i watched of you guys before now was a year ago
I want him to learn he can make his character drunk with the drink emote at the canteens 😂❤
learned new things on this, this was an enjoyable watch!
I never really liked raging brachy. To me it just felt like a slightly stronger version of the regular
watching this made me realize that we NEED a hard raptor monster
I can't wait to see his reaction to Fatalis
I picked up the game again and swapped weapons to GS to see what it's like. Already at Iceborne and loving it. I will still main Bow and S&S for Multiplayer tho. Love watching Asmon playing the game.
Bros play by play commentary is great lol
I wanna play MHW again but my friends dont wanna replay it
What you play on bro, I'd join!
Do a solo run or find other hunters, a lot of people are replaying the game and would be more than willing
Just bought this game with dlc and ive never played any of them , i have no idea whatbim doing or level ups but im having a wonderful time , i havent felt this way about a game besides elden ring.
Back again , I'm now an expert at greatsword and the hammer has my heart .
30:33 He was so ready to trade
Raging brachydios is one of those monsters that is perfect for practicing counter attacks
Spec on blast resist 3 and he becomes a Deviljho.
Loved the content keep it up
I never finished Iceborne, and this return has me finishing it now.
I’ve nicknamed the final phase of Raging Brachy the “Cage Match”.
Because the longer you fight the more opportunities for mistakes and making a mistake will just kill you 50% of the time
19:28 giggling like an idiot at that burp that snuck up on you Cotton
I hate it when chat gives him terrible or wrong information.
Firecell ore only comes from red ore frfr.... Mf he collected every one from a blue just shut up already.- me watching chat
@@zoddsonofthor5576 TBF I only very got it from the red ones in my 1500+ hours of playing lol.
Facts. The only thing worse than a backseater is a backseater who is wrong.
Even when he asks a simple yes or no question. People were saying "Yes" "No" "Not anymore". It's like...why are there so many different answers for something so simple as whether or not you can trap Raging Brachy.
