Where do you park there? I used to hunt there decades ago but there is now housing and private property where we used to park. Nice stuff to be found there!
@@cynergy4 Most of it is still wide open. Use the google satellite map. You'll see. There's a set of houses right at the turn. Go past that and past the second set of houses. The road will bend right, then left. A little ways down you'll see a dirt road access. I usually park on the street right there. You can also access from the other side of the hill. There's a large turnout on Jones Canyon Rd.
I.did.send them... finally. I went to.drop it off at the PO the day I last commented and the place was packed. Was a line of cars waiting for spots so I didn't do it that day. I sent them last week so I bet they arrive next couple days.
Grab the first thing you can find, like a back passenger seat floor mat, that is black. Use that to set your pieces on to film them. They will focus really fast and color balance automatically. I am new to your channel, I am curisous if you have contacted Agate Dad or one of the other hunters to do a rock swap. This is a great way to grow channels. Sorry, not sorry, I am a nosey knowitall Nana! LOL 🪨

Oh boy, time to drool!

This is very similar to some of the material that can be found on Hubbard Hill in Acton, CA. The green & white is called "Green Tree Agate."

Congleton Hollow and Dendrite Butte are great areas for agate limb casts. Not too far from there.
