- Democracy is a term coined for the government of the people, by the people and for the people. In contrast, dictatorship is a rigid form of government in which people are not given the liberties they could otherwise get in the democratic form of government. The dictator takes power either by means of a military coup d’état or any other situation which is totally unfavorable for the citizens. It is an authoritarian form of government in which the word of the dictator is law. He imposes sanctions upon the citizens if they dare to disobey him. This is what Donald Trump has planned for the USA in 2024.

I agree completely, far too many either did not take civics classes or were sleeping during the lessons on government!
And unfortunately many Americans don't understand how other political systems work either.
None of Trump's deluded followers have any idea that their own liberties and rights, which they currently hold dear, would be lost for forever.

So true! We have representative vote and have freedom of speech in our Demos-fashioned government structured for rule by ‘We the People,’ Anthony. The GQP is perhaps the greatest beneficiary that we champion dissent, or perhaps would already have been imprisoned or worse in other countries that don’t have democratic features.
They are telling on themselves, though, in a sense. They DON’T want the low and middle class to have the right to speak up when they don’t like their opinions.

If you tell a MAGA anything with the word “Democracy” in it, automatic response is “we are a Constitutional Republic”, even attempting to explain that we are in fact both is met with a blank stare.

Democracy is often said to mean 'rule by the people'. An example of this is any system of government in which people vote their elected representatives into parliament or congress.
The United States of America is a Constitutional (the people and leaders follow/support the constitution) Republic (we the people elect officials to govern) with a democracy (as opposed to autocracy or theocracy for example) form of governance (a government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly or indirectly through a system of representation usually involving periodically held free elections)

I couldn't have said it any better myself. The scary part about this whole thing is that with all the common sense that you've just put forward, and all the common sense and clear undeniable proof as to the dangers of that man, his followers could care less. I've never had so much proof of something and yet felt so powerless when it came to trying to explain it to someone. What's the difference between a constitutional republic and a democracy? Democracy votes in the people of power, a constitutional republic you vote in electoral bodies that vote on your behalf. If you don't know the difference, you must be a democrat.
