Definitely!! Probably once a month I have to find a full-size washer and dryer to wash things like overalls and such. Usually, I just trade my neighbor, eggs or canned goods for the use of their washer.

You can probably spin out one bath towel at a time if you hand wring the water out of it first. It's a good idea to buy a new or a second hand mangle/ hand wringer. These are brilliant rollers you can use with any washing machine . You just need somewhere to attach them to. An empty drum is a good idea or over an old style fire copper. As I suggested earlier, putting big items thru the mangle/wringer even a few times is great for removing the majority of excess water, then most things will go in the spinner one at a time. Washing can began all day affair but that's life offgrid. CHEERS 🇦🇺🤗💞🙏👍👌✌️👏🇺🇸

Well thank you beautiful lady for sharing your laundry day. Hot digity dammmm that little washer unit is fantastic! Love it, not to say I will trade mine in for something like that but wow I am impressed with that for sure and what a great help for you . Boy that washer board sure brings memories back for me. My mom used one for our laundry ( 6 kids ) until she could afford a wringer washer. We were all amazed by that machine and those rubber rollers. We also took the lid off and unscrewed the knob to take sledding down our local hill. Mom didn't know about that part. We always made sure we put it back in its place before she noticed... lol lol boy that was some fast sled. I do have to say living in the city we can not have a clothes line here which I truly miss. There is nothing like having your sheets blowing in the wind and the freshness it creates. Loved that about travelling through Europe. In Italy at the hotel they had all the sheets blowing on the roof top drying. I asked what they put in their sheets to make them so white. They said Nothing. The sun makes them stay nice and white. Cheers!!

Hello and kudos to you both for living four years primitive by so many’s standards. When I was younger Saturday was wash day and my brothers, sister and I carried water from a spring that was 1/4 mile away with a 5 gallon bucket in each hand.
My mother would roll out a Hoover washing machine that had a spinner on it like yours, but only bigger.
It took all day to wash clothes for the 6 of us and hung them on a clothes line to dry. I
n the winter we still carried water and daddy had rigged up a drainage pipe for the washing machine. We hung clothes all over the house on hangers and chairs to dry.
But, I loved my childhood, wish I could go back.

Again, I was shocked at the amount of lint that collected. You’re right, things came out of the spinner just next to dry. I drained my wash water so I could use clean to rinse then spin again but I had unlimited water. I finally found out using a little vinegar kept the clothes from being stiff. @@FlatTireFarmHomesteadingAlaska Theres such a thing as "English muffins" but they're very different to your biscuits.
We were raised on "SCONES" baked in the oven.other made 3 oven trays of them every weekend. Plain, dates, and cheese were the most common ones she made. A tray full was pressed out onto the floured bench and cut into 1& half inch squares at a guess and placed on a very hot tray dusted with flour, the flour would even burn a little ,she picked up a few at a time placed them back together on the tray and as they rose and cooked they'd join together. These were farmers wife scones, very basic and roughly cut. Once cooked in a hot oven (350deg from memory) sh3d slide the whole lot onto a dry teatowel on a cooling rack and cover. So darn delicious hot or cold. Very few made it to the cold stage and if hey did they were buttered and typed with Vegemite, jam, or homey and taken with a Billy of hot tea to the dairy for milking snacks the next day.

You do not rinse them out in the spinner to get the soap and dirt out.

Hey friend, We run them through a clean water rinse after the first washing and spin. Basically they just get run through the same process again except I put clean water in the washing bin instead of adding soap on the second run through. I talked about it a little bit, but didn’t show it. Hope that helps. Thanks!

How much did the washing machine cost? Was it expensive? Can you start it and see how it works? Does it get your clothes really nice and clean that’s cool

Hey Miss Dee! Not yet. I’m made some for wedding favors, Christmas presents, etc. I am setting up the loft space as a soap studio as we speak. I should have things ready for sale Septemberish. I’ll announce it on the channel. Any soap requests?

@@FlatTireFarmHomesteadingAlaska yes actually I have sensitive skin but homemade is always better as long it is not too heavy on that perfume flowers scent I should be good.

Hey friend, I think I talked about the rinse but didn't show it on camera. After you spin the clothes, you put everything back in the first drum, them refill and repeat the first step. Thanks for watching and be blessed.
