@incanu7 It's a feature of the maps, where certain walls have been textured so nades explode on impact, you can save vital RL ammo by doing this so it can be very useful. You can't do this in any of the current QL maps, except on doors.
@Interuptification under quake 3 skins. dark blue plasma, and chrome weapons (i think). theres normal chrome and theres -blood, the -blood one isnt the one used here. i cant really see all the weapons, but it looks like chrome to me. not 100% sure
@tiggerbiggo It's a mode for Quake 3 Arena/Team Arena that was made specifically for trick jumping, run maps, and things like that. It's fun and very hard.

@fraggedICE erm... arent the only things that you can detonate nades on, movers, like doors? im 99% sure that theres no other way, and that any map that uses GL-jumps like this just use doors that dont really move at all.

there is not any official video for any dfwc, just the demos sent by the players to submit their runs on each map. It's up to any random video editor to collect the demos make a comp and upload it to youtube, which is in all a pain in the ass (some people enjoy making these vids but they're really hard, cool to watch but takes long to make). Just browse the mdd forums to get the dfwc2012 top demos on each map when they're on, and ask for the old ones if u'd like to.

@kunstsein That's the case with just about everything you experience excessively. Defrag is very intense which makes this more likely to happen though.

@cadsmar well, when he's firing at the ground a few plasma bulbs he gains a bit of elevation, i don't know it that's for speed.

@Salara2130 DeFRaG is a Quake 3 mod for time runs (requires a lot of trickjumping) :)

@Interuptification you need to make sure it starts with a z (z-whiteblade.pk3), or it wont load. same with all other custom files.

these maps are made in like 2007-2008 for competitive defrag, most quake maps were made between 1996-1999

There is no DF on QL, but it does still have around 8 or so players on in Europe, only active Oceanic player I know is me.

@darklordfry it's a mod to DL and put in the Q3 folder, then you run Q3 and load the mod. it's like 200Mib i'd say.
