I was 17 in 2003 when I used to play defrag and record a few defrag runs. I NEVER thought I would be watching a DFWC coz I though the community would be dead in 3 year from that. Here I am in 2020 watching these guys shocking me with these inhuman runs.

i love how quake movement is something you can never stop getting good at, it highlights the reason i love quake--movement itself isn't just a tool in your kit, it's a skill

i almost play for 20 years now. im not the worst strafer in the world but i always find myself in awe watching what those guys are able to accomplish. impressive, excellent and simply breathtaking stuff. the video - as usual - is very, very well made, too! q3 4 life!

@@antonbarkland2194 Yea, that. And also pretty much a driving force for 3d rendering, computing and technology in general. Computers got better because people fell in love with games and better games required better computers. Doom and quake physically helped make the world a better place.

Kabcorp these are some of the best defrag videos ever produced. The visuals are superb, the editing is clean af, and the collection of demos here just gives me chills. Can't wait for 2020.

I always come back to these ones after seeing those "how X game made rocket jumping so big" etc etc type videos and letting those creators know quake was first to do this shit.
My best gaming memories are when I was first getting started with CPMA and I met the friendliest bunch of guys ever on a public server who helped me out for hours and hours, teaching me techniques, 0movement jumping, plasma gun stuff etc etc.
The names I remember were some variations of Major and Padawan, while I went by Matika10. HUGE props to them for giving me such a great introduction

i'm a qw player so i'm biased but the cpm runs are very satisfying to watch. sadly this has never really been possible in qw due to ultra high friction, so maps like these would be next to impossible to complete when barely touching a stair, ramp, wall, etc brings you to a complete stop.
